So far, the thermostat is working, but I have no remote access. I haven't been able to connect to wifi, which defeats the purpose of having the unit and paying additional cost.

App for this tstat is NOT GOOD

I purchased this tstat less than one month ago. While the tstat itself works fine I purchased this product for its capabilities through the app (i.e. change modes while away from home, geofencing, etc). I have had nothing but issues with the app since day one. I currently have a ticket outstanding for a known app issue with no resolve date/time in site. The app reviews are atrocious currently - I highly recommend reviewing the app reviews prior to purchasing this tstat. Attempting to get a refund so I can buy the Nest tstat as my kids have had two in two different homes and have loved them. Disappointed to say the least.

I had this product for less than 4 months and had constant problems out of it. I contacted Honeywell multiple times for temp fixes. However they would not do anything and kept saying that Best But was obligated to replace if for carrying their products. Needless to say I ended up spending hundreds on electricians to diagnose it was in fact a faulty unit before Honeywell finally sent a replacement after I purchased a new nest because it was over the 100 outside and over 90 inside.

Fantastic thermostat, and the best value out there

All things considered, this is a fantastic unit and probably the best WiFi thermostat for the money out there… AND the fact that it comes with a c-wire adapter makes it a steal! It’s got great features--geofencing, time scheduling, voice control with Siri, Alexa, Google, etc., temperature alerts (which is really nice if you’re worried about freezing pipes like I am in Minnesota), intelligent comfort and smart response learning, and the Honeywell Home app is great. It was breeze to set up, even without a c-wire, and it looks GREAT on the wall. It does not have remote temperature sensors/multi-zone and motion detection—but to me, those features don’t make sense or add value for most people. There were a few WiFi disconnect issues when I first set it up (as some other reviewers noted) , but after a day or two it seemed to better calibrate with the wifi and auto-downloaded a firmware update which seemed to help and fix the issue. It works perfectly now with an occasional brief disconnect once or twice a month--which is completely normal. Tip: Make sure you closely follow the included easy instructions (especially if you need to install the c-wire adapter), and there are some helpful Honeywell videos on their support site too. I’m extremely happy with my T5+ WiFi thermostat. Great Job Honeywell!

It works, kind of. We have still not been able to get the “online” part of it set up and working. Customer service has been NO help. Could’ve bought a normal one MUCH cheaper. Will eventually replace with one that we can get connected to wifi and be able to use all the features

After 2 days of messing with this & one the phone (or on hold) for almost an hour, we're done & will be returning it. My old thermostat had batteries & this one does not. So since my home isn't wired with power to the thermostat, this is nothing more than a paper wight.

This is my third Honeywell wi-fi thermostat and the first one was trouble free but 2 and 3 were bad. I kept having trouble with them losing wi-fi connection. I bought a Nest and it’s been great. I should have bought a Nest in the first place.

    GeoFence Stinks

GeoFencing, the feature that makes this a "smart" t-stat fails frequently. And resetting it so it sees you as HOME and not AWAY, which it the recurring issue, isn't easy. You have to do numerous different things that never work, and have to resort to calling or chatting tech support, which is always a two hour process or longer, and even then they don't always resolve the issue. So do not buy a t-stat from Honeywell. They have the worst "smart" feature on the planet. They use celluar towers to identify that you are home, instead of just seeing if you are no longer on the home wifi system. it's a joke. I'm so upset. Now i have to figure out a new t-stat and waste another $125 or more on a different manufacturer...

Spend the extra couple of bucks and get a unit that you can calibrate. The temperature that reads on my thermostat is 4-5 degrees warmer that it actually is. I contacted customer support, and the advised me that the unit only records the actual temperature every 10 minutes, and what shows is an average. Come on really!!! we have several dogs, so when you want to watch and adjust your thermostat while you are away remotely, you really do not have an accurate temperature to rely on. Trust me you will be disappointed. Just got off the phone with tech support, and was more than disappointed with his answers. I thought more of Honeywell until today.
