I was very disappointed with this vacuum. As soon as I took it out of the box it looked and felt very cheaply made. But I tried it out. It did pick up some dirt from my tile floors, however, it was basically useful for any kind of rug except a very flat one--i.e., an indoor-outdoor rug. After I tried to use it on my other rugs and didn't really see it picking up much of anything, I held my hand under it while it was running and could feel that there was very little suction. This vacuum is basically a "sweeper" in my opinion and should sell for much less than it does. I am very surprised at all the good ratings on-line. I returned it to the store. I believe it has been discountinued by Hoover.

I use it on tile and carpet floors. The suction is not strong enough to pickup average size crumbs left on floor. I would not recommend this vacuum.

It works okay. But it won’t pick up a piece of Capn’ Crunch from a bare floor. It’s too low for anything but fine particles or hair

Worse vacuum ever!!! I bought this as graduation gift for the dorm. It remained in the box until last week. Tried it out and it did not pick up anything. I tried to exchange it and Best Buy refused because it had been over 15 days. So they sold me a defective produce and refused to address it. It was still new. I will never purchase anything else from Best Buy!!!

This is the worst vacuum i have ever owned use it 3 times for 5 minutes and its dead.

I didn't find an assembly instruction sheet but it was so easy to snap together. Battery charges in only 3 hours. I was surprised how much it picked up when I vacuumed my 5x7 rug! It's very light weight and easy to maneuver.

DO NOT BUY!! This so called vacuum picks up about 5 or 6 pushes and stops up and drops the trash back on your carpet.When you turn it off, more of the trash falls out on the floor and the tubing gets stopped up. I am handicap and I needed a light weight vacuum but this thing isn't worth 9 cents let alone $99.00

I was not impressed. Did a poor job of cleaning. I returned it to Best Buy.

I bought this item as a gift for a family that doesn't have electric they use a generator. They have a very tiny house. Worked well first usage and didn't work again. They charged the battery useless. Very dissatisfied the associate was helpful recommended it. She did the best she could to help me with the purchase. I am usually satisfied with my purchases over the years. Not this time.

After suffering for years through a Dirt Devil and then a Bissel, I finally did my research and found this Hoover recommended in Consumer Reports. I bought it today. It's picking up years of pet hair and dirt that the other vacuums left behind. It's a joy to use. My kids have to listen to me saying "where have you been all my life" as I use it lol.

After reading all of the other reviews I was worried about the mention of only a 15 minute battery life but then I realized that this is supposed to be the "extra vacuum". That being said 15-20 minutes is plenty of time. I vacuumed the kitchen/dining room tile and took off into the living room and swept the carpet for a quick clean up. I had only lost one of the three battery bars. The battery recharges is less than three hours anyway. Right away I was impressed with the suction on the hard floor. My last vacuum needed to have all debris centered but with the Linx, as long as you go over it, it will suck it up. The switch for the carpet roller is easy to use and a great extra that other stick vac's just don't have. Although the debris cup is not large, if you empty it after each use, which is very easy to do, it's not a big deal. The vacuum took two seconds to assemble and just looks nice. For the price an extra battery would have been nice but with a 6 year warranty, this vacuum should last quite some time.

Was great while it lasted but broke at the bottom between the piece that suctions and the handle only 2 months after buying .

This product worked great a handful of times I returned the product and tried a new one same one and same thing! Don't waste ur money on it :(

I've had this product for over 8 years .. still works great ! I use it for general sweep up of tile floors ,especially kitchen which always has some food related crumbs .. Some quick carpet cleaning , but mostly for sweeping the concrete pool area ( NO CORD ) around my pool to get up stuff from trees nearby and bugs etc , a broom would be an option but this works so well .. YOU JUST Cant vacuum wet surface .. or probably shouldnt .. battery recharges quickly ! indicator on front lets you know how much power you have left . NICE DESIGN

I love this vac! It is fast and easy to use and store. We have 2 big dogs (with the associated shedding) and this vac is the best! I can whiz around the house, easily getting under and around furniture and cabinets in no time. In fact, I bought another Linx for the upstairs! I also bought a second battery so that I have a back-up ready when the main one discharges. Well worth the extra expense! It works best on tile and hardwoods but does OK on carpets for a quick pick-up. Initially, I thought it was a bit expensive but it is worth every penny! I love my Linx! I have not had the problem mention by another reviewer of the clogging problem. The trash cup does fall off easily if the Linx falls over; however, the "dirt" doesn't fall out due to the design of the cup. All in all, I love it!

We've had hardwood floors for years and were always looking for a better, easier way to keep them clean. When we recently moved, I threw out 5 or more corded and cordless "multi-purpose" vaccuums because they all had downfalls. Poor suction, attached lint cloths, poor battery life, and just overall poor performance left us needing to go ahead and sweep the old fashioned way even after using them. We had pretty much resigned ourselves to the fact that the old school broom and dust pan were going to be the only tools that would accomplish what we wanted. We were over at our neighbors house one night and we got to talking about keeping floors clean and they had been using the Linx and they loved it. We decided that we would give technology one last opportunity to show us that it could perform better and easier than using the broom and pan method. We ordered and received it in a few days. It was very simple to put together, needing only a phillips head screwdriver to attach the handle. The first use was very impressive! We charged the battery and the Linx picked up everything in its path, easily transitioning from hardwood floors to carpet, picking up the good ole wind blown Kansas dust and dirt. We have pets and it also does an EXCELLENT job of picking up pet hair from carpet, rugs and hardwood floors. The battery life is satisfactory for what we need it for, and lasts much longer than the other types that we have used in the past. There is no let-down on the battery operation either. It runs full speed until the battery is run down, continuing to clean at 100% through the entire cycle. Simply pop the battery out and onto the charger and it is ready for the next round in a few hours. We went ahead and purchased a second battery to have on hand in case we needed it to finish the job, but have yet to have to switch them out mid-job. The bagless feature of trapping the dirt and hair is great and is easy to dump when the job is complete. It also allows you to see what you've picked up. Overall, this by far is the BEST cordless vaccuum we have used and it does a GREAT job! After going through so many cheaper devices, I only wish that we would have found this one first, rather than last! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for areas with hardwood floors and tile, and areas that transition from hardwood floors to carpet! A great daily cleaning tool! Thanks to our neighbors and to Hoover! MT Rocks! We had a bissel 12 amp corded vacuum before this. It sucked and not in a good way. We vacuumed the floor with it then went over the floor with the new hoover. After half of the living room the hoovers canister was full! Around our small 2 bedroom apartment we had to empty the canister 6 times because of all the dirt and pet hair left behind from the bissel. We have a long haired husky and she shed's like crazy. No other vacuum seemed to really cut it but this thing is a pet hair monster! I love everything about this vacuum it's really amazing. It does only have a 15-20 minute battery life which is more than enough to vacuum my entire apartment but if you have something bigger...so what? whip it out, sweep a room, throw the battery back on the charger and come back later...To be honest, I walk buy the vacuum sometimes and just grab it without thinking about it and give the floor a quick sweep now. I mean it's so light and hassle free without cords that you actually won't mind vacuuming! Anyone looking for a good vacuum, this is it! we've had dyson, bissell, dirt devil, eureka, and oreck vacuums none of them compare to this...not in my book anyways. This vacuum,all features considered, is the vacuum I always wanted.

great product at first but after 4-5 use product no longer responses the same, even with following all manufacturer directions
