I have tested other cordless vacuums. Some work great and others aren’t strong enough to pick up a bread crumb. The Hoover ONEPWR Blade+ Cordless Stick Vacuum falls into the first category. It has plenty of power to pick up dust, dirt, small leaves, pet hair without a problem. It is also very light so that you can lift it over your head to get the stuff that collects in the corners of the ceiling. Emptying it is very easy, just lift the latch on the canister and empty it. The one thing that stand out for me is the ONEPWR removable battery. Most of the cordless devices like this only get 20 to 30 minutes of use on a charge, and for the most part that’s enough for spot cleaning. The issue becomes getting the units back to the charging mount before you need to use it again. With the removable battery, you can always have a battery charging while using the other if you anticipate longer usage. The problem is that the spare batteries are incredibly expensive. Nearly half the cost of the vacuum itself. It comes with a wall mount that holds 2 of the three additional attachments this comes with, but there is also a clip for the vacuum itself for the third attachment itself. This may sound like a minor thing, but I have lost more attachments because I didn’t have q good place to store them with the unit. One thing I feel is missing here is a power brush to use in handheld mode. That would be a good addition for cleaning your car or furniture upholstery. Performance wise, this worked great. I have both hardwood floors and carpet in my home and it was able to manage both equally well. It has a carpet button on the handle that throttles it back a bit. Based on its price point (without buying an additional battery), this is definitely a great value. Maybe not the most powerful stick vacuum on the market, but not the most expensive either.

Great for small jobs but battery dies pretty fast in carpet mode. Other than that this is a pretty handy tool with all the extra connections

Bought this item to replace a Hoover cordless, It is light, easy to manuever and hads great pick up. On the downside: It can't stand up on it's own and the battery doesn't last very long. We had to buy a 4.0 battery to go with the one we had. Beside that not bad.

We have a dog that sheds but you can't always notice until after you vacuum. This helps keep our house looking fresh and clean. Love the light and the maneuverability. Only real drawback is short battery life. Recommended if you get an extra battery

Power buttons to close to handle and you keep accidental turning off. Also complicated combination of buttons, takes a while to figure out. Love the idea of different attachments and design. Suction can sometimes be too much and things get stuck in power head. Battery life about 10 minutes and lower depends on what setting. Overall for the price its ok. Main reason I purchased and kept for changeable battery and price.

Excellent Vacuum, but Short Battery Life

The Hoover ONEPWR Blade+ vacuum is a cordless, small profile vacuum that is excellent for smaller homes or apartments, and features Hoover’s new “one battery for all devices” concept. The battery for the Blade+ works in any of Hoover’s ONEPWR devices, including carpet cleaners, flashlights, wet-dry vacuums, etc. The vacuum is lightweight and adjustable to a variety of cleaning needs, such as standard floor vacuuming, corners, drapes, tight areas, etc. The head is articulated, allowing you to easily get under chairs or tables without having to throw yourself on the floor to reach under those spaces. Other attachments for corners or upholstery can be attached in lieu of the beater-brush head, or you can remove the longer vacuum tube and attach those same items directly to the vacuum system itself, making the device like the old school “DustBuster” hand-held vacuums. The device is lightweight enough, and the design well-balanced to allow you to also place the attachments on it to reach up into the corners of the room for cobwebs or other dust without breaking your back. Likewise, with removing the longer tube you can easily clean carpeted or hardwood steps. Suction is very good, and had no problem handling all the dog hair in the carpet from my “non-shedding” dog. Emptying the device is incredibly easy and didn’t involve having to reach in & pull stuff out manually like my previous vacuum where everything got stuck around the cyclonic filter. The one down side to this is the battery life. I have a 1,280 square foot, 3-bedroom/2-bath apartment (not small, but not huge, either). I was not able to complete the whole house on one battery charge without using “ECO” mode. When using it at full power, full suction in “Carpet” mode, I made it about ¾ of the way around the house before the battery died. Being that I only had 1 battery with the device, this halted the cleaning until the battery was recharged. The recharge time is actually good, maybe 90 minutes or so to a full charge, but that’s 90 minutes of finding something else to do. If you use ECO mode, where motor speeds & suction are reduced, then I made it thru the whole house, but found it definitely did not get up as much dog hair. So there is certainly a trade-off there. If you don’t have a dog & aren’t tracking in a lot of stuff then you may be okay. But with dogs or kids where you need the more powerful suction, or have a larger house, one battery is not going to do it for you. I STRONGLY suggest you purchase at least 1 additional battery to have as a hot swap for getting the whole job done. There is also an accessory collar that comes with the vacuum that attaches around the long vacuum head tube, but really only holds 1 accessory; you’ll have to pick which one (long crevice tool, brush tool, etc.). If you’re creative, you can get 2 on there (put the long crevice tool on first then slide the second attachment over that), but it’s not reliable to have on there as a long-term holder. The device also comes with a nice mount for the wall or closet to hang the device, but didn’t incorporate enough spots for the accessories or the charger. I would have liked to have seen it include (or at least be available for purchase) and single docking station for everything – charger, vacuum, and accessories. Overall, the device does the job, and does it well. But know that you will likely need a second battery, again if you’re dealing with a larger house or need that extra suction power throughout the house.

I honestly love it but the battery is terrible. I would only get 10 min tops out of it. I was told you can get an upgraded battery but I’d rather just spend more money for a higher end vacuum. It’s a nice vacuum though.

This is a great little vacuum for spot cleaning. The battery that comes with it takes roughly 2hrs to charge to max, and depletes in about 5-10 minutes on the carpet settings. Don’t expect to clean more than about 600-800 sq ft per charge. I’d probably have to have about 2-3 batteries total to complete the whole house, but I bought it as a spot cleaner since our heavy corded vacuum was a pain for the stairs. If the battery life was longer and charged faster, I’d give it 5 stars.

The handheld part is very heavy and bulky. Battery literally has lasted less than 10 mins since purchase. Bristle attachment is so soft and flimsy it does not help whatsoever. Not cheap for what is, in my opinion trash. Regret this purchase.

Vacuum works great. It is lightweight and portable, but the battery is horrible. Already had the company replace the battery, but the new one is failing now too. I would honestly give this product a 5-star if Hoover could figure out a better battery. Maybe they should call Tesla.

I was skeptical on trying out this vacuum only because I was replacing my Dyson. Let me tell you, I love it!! I feel that it worked 10x better than my Dyson. I love how it has a removable battery for charging purposes and it’s so easy to get the dirt out of the collection container. The overall rating of the vacuum is 5 stars. The only reason I gave this review a 4, is because it is a lot heavier than my Dyson. When I was using the included attachments to clean the dust off my air vents in my home, I struggled. But it you are looking for a nice cordless vacuum, look no more!!
