Great 2in1 Handheld and Stick Vacuum

I like Hoover vacuums and am upgrading from a much older Hoover handheld. In the several years since I last purchase a handheld, Hoover has made some awesome changes with the OnePwr Blade+. The weight is much more reasonable and the battery is slim, the brush heads now have lights (so you can light up darker areas as you vac) and they are more slim-line. If you have used an older handheld it's a huge upgrade. Hoover has also made it easier to read the battery level, with a clearer indicator. But at the end of the day, all you really want to know is does this vacuum have enough suction to clean - YES! It has great suction when using the blade handle, and it's amazing as a handheld. Hoover has also been super generous with the dust canister, I was able to clean 2 large rooms. I should also add this vacuum works great with pet hair - using the small crevice attachments I was able to remove pet hair from the couch. Overall, a great vacuum and the OnePwr Blade+ is recommended!

No negative other than the cost of additional batteries. Full Charge in about 3 hours and about 30 minutes of usage. The changeable attachments are easy to use and the configurations are pretty useful. It is now so easy to clean drapes/curtains, carpeted stairs, furniture, get under beds, corners, and to do quick cleanups of small mess. The suction is very, very powerful, debris emptying is quick and you never seem to lose suction. Cleaning if the vacuum is easy, quick and straightforward. Easily 5 stars and hoping extra batteries come down in price soon.

The cordless vacuum cleaner is a pretty nice cleaner but the battery just isn't that good. On my wood floors, it works great. Manuverabiity is great along with the bright LED headlight. Does a pretty good job on carpet also. I charge the battery up use it for about five to ten minutes. A full charge only equates to 35 mins of use. I come back to it in a couple days later battery needs to be recharge won’t run because the battery is down. I really don't like the idea of having to purchase a backup batter for use continuation. Works as well as my 3 year old Dyson but the battery just doesn't last long enough if plugged into the unit

At some point when you become an adult, you realize there is something magical about opening up a new household item. It holds the promise of making some household task easier, faster, less annoying. The Hoover Blade+ Cordless Vacuum makes such promises, and for the most part lives up to them. Let’s talk unboxing - can we stop packaging items in Styrofoam? It is too difficult to remove from the box, plus all the little bits break off and end up everywhere. I guess it’s kind of genius on Hoover’s part though, something to test vacuuming up once yours is set up. First impression was that this product is good quality - hard, sturdy plastics and metals. If you are looking to set this thing up and try it out right out of the box, you’ll be disappointed. The battery does not come charged, and the instructions say it takes 3-4 hours. It looked like mine had some charge when I plugged it in, and after about 1.5 hours it was fully charged. Don’t go to the “quick start guide” for instructions on putting the pieces together and using the vacuum though. The “quick start guide” is actually cleaning instructions for after you have used the vacuum. You have to refer to the regular instruction book for pictures and explanations of how to put the pieces together. I tried several configurations of attachments and for all of them the unit felt too heavy. All of the weight is at the handle/battery/dirt cup end. Even without the battery attached, the handle is heavier than you would expect from an appliance of this size. The rest of the features of this vacuum, however, are sufficient enough to overlook the heft. The “powered nozzle”, which is basically a rolling brush with a light, is my favorite attachment. It has a swivel neck which makes maneuvering around furniture and in corners easier. Add to that the lack of getting tangled up in a vacuum cord, and you can vacuum in whatever formation you want! The light is also a nice feature and it is quite bright. The vacuum has a “carpet” mode that can be engaged, so this attachment can be used on both carpet and hard floor surfaces. On a carpet surface I found it to be comparable to regular vacuums in terms of how much debris is cleaned up. On a hard surface I actually found it to be better than a regular vacuum, although it still missed some debris that was close to the walls. “Eco mode” is another feature, which can be engaged with the touch of a button on the handle. The instruction manual says that this maximizes run time. It is not noted in the instructions as to whether or not to expect a change in the vacuum’s performance, other than increasing the life of the battery. Upon testing the two modes, I noticed an audible difference (eco mode was noticeably quieter) but no difference in the vacuum’s ability to clean up debris. Two other attachment configurations are unique to this vacuum. One is the powered nozzle without the extender. My husband used this to vacuum stairs and said it worked really well — it’s a good size for the job, though it looks pretty funny. The other one is the thin attachment with the extender. I found this to work really well on the edge of carpet and around vents. It is much better than accordion style extenders for these hard to reach places, plus you can remain standing to vacuum them. My only complaint with the attachments is that it is quite easy to bump the power button and turn on the unit while changing the pieces. The packaging for this vacuum boasts a run time of up to 35 minutes. Between my husband and I, we ran the vacuum in eco mode on carpet, hardwood floors, and stairs until the battery ran out. It lasted for 31.5 minutes. Not bad at all, but not the full 35 minutes advertised. (Side note, I found out I never need to vacuum that much at once anyway!) Charging the depleted battery took just under 2 hours, which is a pleasant surprise from 3-4 hour estimate in the instruction manual. Just a suggestion - Hoover could include a 2nd battery to have on hand for those bigger vacuuming jobs. When you’re all done vacuuming, cleaning out the dirt cup and the brush roll are easy. The dirt cup releases with one button and can be emptied into the garbage. It is small, so it is much less cumbersome to empty. The brush roll is disengaged by turning a dial on one end and then pulling it out. It is much easier than having to find a screwdriver and open up the bottom of the plastic frame. I have not figured out how to use the tool caddy yet, or how I want to store this vacuum. It does not stand up on its own - it has to either lay flat on the floor, lean against a wall, or be mounted to a wall using the included wall mount. Again, other than the weight, this vacuum does not disappoint. The ease of its cordlessness and emptying of the dirt cup, plus the smart attachment options make it a thumbs up in my book.

A Much Better Vacuum Cleaner Than I Expected

I've never used a cordless vacuum before this one and now I can't help but wonder how I made do without one before. When you first open the box it can be a bit daunting when you see all the various parts. My advice, look through the instructions that come in the box and assembly will be a much smoother experience than you might think it would be at first look. The battery came fairly charged but I still put it on the charger to top it off as I was planning to put this baby through its paces. The carpet setting is the most powerful one and does a great job on carpet. The carpet in my home is not "shag" type carpeting so I can't speak to it's effectiveness on that type. This thing cleaned as good as my older upright Hoover vacuum and is much easier to move around with. It's not too heavy and it's easy to maneuver around furniture and get into harder to reach spots. I cleaned for a solid 90 minutes and the battery help up like a champ. The built in filter eliminates a significant portion of the usual vacuum smell. Overall I am extremely pleased with this vacuum. It's so small and light that it'll be easy to do quick little mini cleanings during the week, for me at least.

Complete portable cleaning tool with minor caveats

This vacuum is great, straight from the box. I did not have to read the instruction sheets-- the nozzles and the connectors are easy to understand and the battery power system is quite fool-proof. I already have complete nozzles in the box and the vacuum itself is powerful. For the most part, I don't have to go back to areas I already vacuumed, which makes the cleaning more efficient. Also, cleaning the bin is fairly easy. However, power and versatility has some trade-offs: 1) the main handle is not that light. Not everyone has strong arms so it takes some effort to clean using one arm. 2) The base itself is a little wide. It sure does the job vacuuming cars, especially with the help on the crevice tool. However, the handle is a little wide, making it challenging to perform some tasks between the legroom areas and between seats. 3) You will have to purchase an extra battery pack to make the most out of the system. The good thing I like about this vacuum is the battery pack-- it is easy to charge and is portable. However, for me to have continuous cleaning, I have to have a spare battery purchased-- it is not included in the initial box. It has some power options though, so you can manage your power settings based on your current cleaning need. Overall it is a great device. It will be your only tool for most vacuuming needs, especially with kids around the house. If you can live with the minor trade offs for power, versatility and flexibility, this can be your go-to cleaning tool.

Whats in the box ————————- * Battery charger * Crevice tool * Dusting brush * HOOVER ONEPWR Blade+ Cordless Stick Vacuum * ONEPWR 3.0Ah battery * Upholstery tool * Wall mount Pros ——- 1. Dirt cup is fully removable which helps in easy emptying of trash 2. 35 minutes of claimed battery life 3. Good suction 4. Can covert to a handbag for your car 5. One Pwr Battery if you have other hoover devices Cons ——- 1. Expensive spare battery 2. Same price as Dyson v6, may be should this be a 20$ cheaper?? Review ——— BUILD QUALITY I think the build quality has been much improved as compared to the prior version of their cordless vacuum cleaners. I had one of the hoover vacuum cleaner and the dirt canister door has always been a problem. This one looks better although I think the button to open the dirt canister should be improved a bit. I think the vacuum can survive a few falls no problem. The parts are click connect and it's easy to convert the vacuum. The click connect also works good and it feels like it will last a long time. The plastic parts on the vacuum looks to be of good quality. I am hoping that the canister door lock lasts a long time. I also like the color combination and I think it looks good in the laundry room! SETUP This was the easiest part. Everything is click connect and follow the instructions and you are setup. Make sure to charge the battery to the fullest before using to ensure good battery life in future. The full charge time is around three and a half hour. The only small quirk is the you need to pull the battery out and then charge it. I would have proffered the charger on the wall mount. The wall mount looks strong and fits the vacuum very well and I think it can hold the weight of the vacuum very well. USAGE So I do have a shark corded vacuum which works very well when we are done winding up at night and cleaning up the bits and pieces at the kitchen and family room. So I think I am going to have to compare a cordless vs corded handheld vacuum. I like the fat that the weight distribution is very well and not too heavy to be able to do a good 15 minutes of vacuum. The suction on the vacuum is very good and almost at par with my corded shark vacuum. Most importantly this is cordless and it can be converted to a handheld to be able to reach the crevices of your sofa and pick up those pieces of chips and cookies your kids might have dropped in. As I said earlier, its got a good suction and I am impressed with the cleaning power of this vacuum. I have used it on hardwood floor and on my low pile rug and it does pretty well. I did try it on my carpet but I am not sure if it can stand the corded full size vacuum that I have. I won’t use it on carpet. I will stick to cleaning rugs and the hardwood floor. I used it for about 15 minutes without loss of any suction. Once i was done , the good party is that I was able to fully take out the dirt canister to empty it. When I compare it to the shark corded vacuum, I can’t do this. I have to actually drag the whole thing to the trash can. Almost all the parts of the vacuum can be taken apart to clean. I think it's good to clean the filter once a month. Only qualm I have is that the spare battery is a little expensive at 99$, if it drops down 20$, I would probably buy a spare. Overall I think if they can bring the spare battery price down, I would think of buying more of the one pwr products.

I am so impressed with this vacuum. I've had a shark stick vac for the past few years which I love, but it is corded. You don't realize the convenience and ease of a cordless vac until you use one. I live in a smaller sized apartment. I vacuumed 3 times before I chose to charge the battery. It never seemed to lose power or suction at all during those 3 times. I think I will still end up buying a second battery so I can have two in rotation and preserve the life of the batteries. My only worry with this vacuum with be longevity of the batteries, as many rechargeable batteries lose their oomph over time. The functionality of this vacuum is impressive. It has attachments to use it as a "dust-buster" which is convenient for getting into tiny spots. I can definitely see myself using this to clean my car as well since it is so portable.

The ONEPWR Blade+ Cordless Vacuum – Kit is one of Hoover’s latest offering of vacuum cleaners. Overall, what can I say is that if gives you FREEDOM! Freedom form cords that is. The Blade+ is a stick vacuum in general. But what does it offer aside from every stick vacuum out there. Well it is cordless and is powered by a 3.0 Ah li-ion battery. It is rated to give thirty-five minutes runtime (in eco mode) well enough to provide you with a basic cleaning. In addition, the Blade+ is light in weight even compared to other stick vacuums out there yet maintains strong suction power in carpet mode (though battery life is much shorter). This vacuum cleaner also boasts of a modular design wherein you can interchange the main stick and roller brush with a wall cleaner, a crevice tool and a brush for cleaning stairs. One lacking is a hose connection. One thing I like about the Blade+ is the dust bin which is not only easily detachable but can also be dissembled. All parts namely the dustbin, dust cup and filter can be detached and handwashed. I like the fact that the filter can be handwashed which enables me to save on consumables. There is not much I can say about this vacuum cleaner save for the fact that it does the job and it is easy to use. So what more can one ask for. So the bottomline is that I am very satisfied with the Blade+ and is highly recommending it to anyone who is in the market for a new vacuum cleaner.

vacuum is great. it works well, was pretty easy to set up. seems to work pretty good so far. only few things i would have liked. it only comes with 1 battery. would have been nice to have 2. it also does not stand on its own. it came with a wall mount. but for some who might not be allowed to mount things on walls, not a ideal thing. its great incase but i would have loved for it to be able to stand on own. have one that has a button in middle so that it folds down and stands on own. for now we just pull that top part off and lay it down next to the floor piece. but overall great. have not had issues with basic vacuuming with it jamming up yet. but like any vacuum, i would imagine it might with certain objects. this at least looks like it would not be to hard to clear if it does happen. it also it not to loud at all.
