Customers are saying

Customers praise the ONEPWR Evolve Pet Cordless Vacuum's battery life, powerful suction, and lightweight design, making it easy to maneuver and use. Many appreciate its strong performance on various surfaces, including carpets. However, some customers note that the vacuum's size may limit its reach under furniture, and that it lacks attachments. The absence of a light is also a point of concern for some users.

Decent, but doesn't replace other classes of vacs

HOOVER advertises the EVOLVE PET as being in a class of its own, and I can agree with that. Unfortunately, it doesn’t really replace any of the other classes of vacuum cleaners, limiting its appeal. While not being a ‘vac that does it all’, it handles the tasks it was designed for reasonably well. ===[ The Good ]=== My favorite feature of this unit by far is the ONE PWR removable battery pack. Every wireless stick vac I’ve used (aside from this unit, if it counts) has had a fixed, generally non-serviceable battery that can manage to hold a reasonable amount of charge for a couple of years if I’m lucky, after which the vac becomes scrap to be recycled. This feature will hopefully allow me to use the unit for much longer. This unit has good suction and roller strength compared to wireless stick vacs. While I usually leave stick vacs to the tasks of spot cleaning and tackling stairs, I feel comfortable using this unit for ‘full’ cleaning jobs (though it can’t fully handle this job by itself), reducing the frequency with which I have to use more cumbersome wired upright or canister vacs. The canister capacity is enormous compared to most other bagless, wireless stick vacs I’ve used. This allows me to clean without interruption, where-as the low capacity of others would require two or more dumps if used for a full vacuum job, primarily because of the cat fur picked up from the carpets which quickly fills canister space. Most wireless stick vac canisters don’t have top access, which can make clearing out the thin cavity around the rough intake filter (‘separator’) a cumbersome chore. This unit’s canister has a top that fully hinges open, allowing full removal of the filters from the top, making thorough emptying and cleanup much easier. ===[ The Bad ]=== The power and mode buttons are rather inconveniently placed well below the handle, where-as most vacs I’ve used have these placed conveniently in the handle. There’s a complete lack of attachments. Most wireless stick vacs I’ve used at least have a detachable hose/wand for getting into tight spots, which this unit doesn’t have (and some even come with attachments). The roller stops moving when the unit ‘locks’ into upright position. This makes cleaning stairs a difficult chore if you are so inclined, despite the manual instructing to “not place product on stairs”. The roller has sizable side margins that leave unswept ‘dead space’ along walls and furniture. Because of the three previously mentioned issues, this product doesn’t effectively replace the other classes of vacuum cleaners, which will still need to be used at least occasionally for thorough cleaning. The mating of the exhaust port to the canister appears not very well designed, where an oddly shaped gasket is used that fits rather loosely against the canister with rather ‘open’ placement. I suspect this fit will become progressively worse over time which could result in debris blowing back towards the user. ===[ Other mentionables ]=== - When using deep carpet cleaning mode, which is my primary use, I have 1 of 4 battery charge indicators remaining lit after a full cleaning run. I suppose this is reasonably decent, but as the battery ages, eventually, it won’t handle a full cleaning run on one charge. It remains to be seen how long the battery can manage this kind of run-time. - Does not have a spotlight. - Stands upright, where-as most wireless stick vacs I’ve used cannot stand on their own. - Charging is a little more involved than with most other wireless stick vacs.

This vacuum sets the standard for the battery operated ONEPWR line of products. I have an earlier generation of one of the vacuums from this cordless line of products and this one is substantially improved. For one, this comes with a 4 Ah battery, which provides good running time and some of the extra capacity needed to drive the brush and effectively suck up any debris off your floor. In carpet mode this vacuum does a very competent job in cleaning up my cat’s long hair, which she sheds in clumps. The unit also has a mode where the powered brush is disabled. I found this mode to be especially effective on my laminate floors. The powerhead portion of the unit, where the power brush is located swivels, making it super easy to maneuver across your bare floors or carpets. I cleaned up a pretty sizable portion of my house with this and the battery still had more to give. This is a vast improvement over some of the earlier vacuums in the Hoover ONEPWR line. Overall this is a competent house cleaning tool, you almost forget it is cordless, which is great progress for this product line. Pros: - Powerful, cordless - Effective power brush head - Three vacuum modes - Good battery life - Easy to maneuver and is light weight. Cons: None so far

We just love this Hoover OnePwr Evolve Pet Cordless Upright. Out of the box it is very easy to put together, took less than 2 minutes. You will need to charge the battery for about 3 hours for it to be fully charged. The charge will give you a solid 30 minutes of vacuuming. There are 2 things that stand out about this vacuum. The first thing is how powerful it is for a small cordless vacuum. I was a little skeptical as to how well it would pick up pet hair, but this puppy has a ton of suction power. The second thing that stands out is how light it is. You can easily manuever this vacuum around corners because it is so light. This Hoover has 3 modes: carpet, brush off and multi-surface. It does a great job in all 3 modes. The main reason why you would purchase this vacuum is because you have a pet and you don't want pet hair in your carpet. This Hoover will take care of that problem. You will want to clean the brush often if you have pets, but removing the brush and cleaning it is very easy. Overall if you are looking for a quality and affordable pet cordless upright vacuum, you need to consider this Hoover OnePwr.

The Hoover ONEPWR Cordless Vacuum is a good vacuum with plenty of power and battery life to get the job done. Here are a list of pros and cons. Pros - [ ] Easy and accurate instructions - [ ] Lightweight - [ ] Removable battery charger - [ ] Pet odor protection filter - [ ] Multi-surface cleaning - [ ] Removable dirt cup can be removed easily - [ ] Stands upright without tipping and falling over - [ ] Rubber wheels to help protect wood floor surfaces Cons - [ ] Power button and Mode button is placed on the on unit and not the handle. Have to reach down to press buttons. Makes it somewhat difficult to reach for those that are tall. Would have been better if buttons were on the handle. - [ ] Need a low power mode to help conserve battery life. It only has one power setting. - [ ] No lights. Having lights installed would make it easier to see pet hair on hardwood surfaces while vacuuming. Overall this is an excellent vacuum for those looking for portability and power.

    Powerful Cordless Vacuum

This is a powerful cordless vacuum. I am a little leery of cordless power so I vacuumed an entire 1662 square foot house including carpet and solid surface flooring. I kept the device on max power which gives you greater suction and spins the brush. The battery went down only 1 notch. It pulled up a lot of dirt. Carpet looked great I recharged to full in just about 15 minutes. So that is my testimonial that the product is well designed in the power department. I also found the ability to insert and remove the power supply was easy with a very nice ‘click’ when it’s inserted so you know it is fully seated. I found the cleaning of the dust bin including the removal of the filter to be a snap. Hoover got this one very right. The price is a little more than the cheap ones, but I don’t recommend the cheaper ones as the batteries will soon lose their charge and they are not as solid nor as powerful as this unit. I highly recommend it.

Here are some helpful tips to improve the suction: check to see if the filter or nozzle is clogged. Turn off the unit and disconnect the nozzle to remove the debris. Also check the hose for any built up debris, and use the handle of a broom to remove. After checking the hose, please be sure to securely connect the hose to your vacuum. We also recommend checking the filter by removing it from your vacuum and tapping out any built up dirt/debris that could be resting on it. Rinse the filter with water until the water runs clear and allow a dry time of 24-36 hours. – OR – We recommend checking to see if your filter is clogged. Turn off the unit and disconnect the nozzle to remove any debris. While you have the filter removed rinse it with water until the water runs clear, allow dry time (24-36 hours). Hoover

I am fascinated with the cordless feature of this vacuum. Very simple and easy to use. Battery came with full charge in the box and it took less than 10 seconds to start vacuuming. Love the design and color - very pastel and not too flashy. Weightless even with the battery on. Suction power is too good on all the modes - carpet, multi surface and wood. I have all types of surfaces at my home and I am totally satisfied with the way the vacuum has taken out the dirt so far.battery takes about an hour to fully charge and it can be used again. One full charge is good enough to vacuum 2500 sqft home all over. I love this vacuum from Hoover and I would definitely recommend this to everyone.
