I am a Dyson guy through and through, however I am always looking at the competition and how they are trying to keep up with Dyson and I am noticing more and more, Dyson is being left in the dust due to the ingenuity of Hoover and Bissell products. This device is no exception and is in a line of products called OnePwr meaning they are all running off the same power source battery and this can be switched out between the whole line of products. This vac not only cleans up serious messes, it has the power to vacuum and wash the floor from pet messes primarily while deodorizing the mess. The suction power on this machine is awesome and I really like the usability and ease of using this vac. I would look to buy all of this line of products.

Does not pick up like a cordless Dyson. There is absolutely no comparison. Don’t waste your money. Stiff, suction is not great and seems to not have a brush that rotates at the bottom.

This vacuum broke with in less than a week of having it! The battery was fully charged but the power button would not turn on. Completely horrible.

Doesn’t do good at picking bigger things up. Have to go over the spot multiple times an still doesn't pick it up .

Junk, and way overpriced! Loud, cheaply made and the suction is sub-par.

I already had the Hoover ONEPWR handvac, so I thought this would be a nice complement to it and use the same batteries and charger. We've got multiple indoor cats so we have copious amounts of cat hair all over. I work at home, so by the end of each day I clean the desk and computer with the handvac, then use the new upright to clean the plastic chair mat and surrounding carpet. This seems to be a great vacuum and does a good job gathering the cat hair for the most part. On the thicker carpet, it does sometimes leave streaks of hair so you have to go over it a few times to get it all. But on the hard surface and even very short carpet it does a great job. The "pet hair" design of the roller seems effective because it doesn't get hair wrapped around it like on regular vacuums, so you don't have to do any maintenance on that. I've found it's also very handy to quickly clean the carpeted stairs. It's so much lighter and maneuverable than trying to do it with a full-size corded vacuum. Its one slight weakness is that it doesn't get real close to the edges, so I have to hit some of those spots with the handvac afterwards. I really like that the battery is removable for charging, so I can charge it on my desk while keeping the vacuum in a better storage location out of the way. The run time on the battery is more than enough to do my stairs and a couple fairly large rooms. I'm sure your mileage will vary depending on how much carpet you have as the carpet setting takes more juice. It's nice that you can switch between the three different speeds depending on your floors. Finally, the dirt container is nice and large, as advertised, and it's really easy to clean out. Dirt and hair drops out the bottom hatch, and the separator/screen is easy to pull out the top as needed and wipe off. The final filter is a washable foam disc.

Brush failed on second use. The vacuum is not suitable for normal use.

Carpet brush stopped working about two weeks after it was no longer returnable. Will probably never buy another Hoover vac.

Battery only lasted a year. Not happy! Hoover no good.

The Hoover OnePWR Evolve is an excellent vacuum that makes quick work of any mess in your house and is another great product from Hoover. It is great at cleaning up messes regardless if it is on carpet or hard flooring and it has a great capacity that means less emptying into the trash. The only real downside that I found is that the included battery only lasts about 30 minutes so if you have larger rooms or are trying to clean a whole house in one go you may have to be aware of this and either be prepared to break your cleaning up into chunks or to have a spare battery. There is no quick charging so if you use up the battery it takes some time before it is fully charged and ready to go again, in most instances this is not a problem, but again if you are trying to clean a large area or a lot of rooms this may be an issue that you should be aware of. Other than the (possibly) limited battery capacity, again this may not be an issue depending on your use case, this is a really great vacuum that is more than capable of being all you need for your home. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to get a vacuum and especially if you are interested in a cordless vacuum.

Cordless cleaning devices do the majority of the cleaning in our household and have for several years now. Robot Vacuums for routine cleaning of floors and carpets. Hand and stick vacuums for ceiling fans, air vents and upholstery with pet hair, dust and dirt. I got the Hoover ONEPWR EVOLVE PET CORDLESS UPRIGHT VACUUM 10 days ago and have used it twice now to clean floors in high traffic areas. The Hoover Evolve Pet does as good a job on our medium shag rugs as any corded or cordless vacuum we have had, even ones costing much more. The dirt bin is not as large as our corded vacuum but it is the largest of the several cordless models we have by about 50%. The Hoover Evolve Pet facilities for cleaning the vacuum and brush are effective and easy to use. The vacuum is not as versatile as many hand held models it is designed for floor and carpet but right now I don’t know of a superior model for floors. Five Stars

The Hoover ONEPWR cordless vacuum is a good buy if you want a vacuum for light cleaning. It handled cleaning up our hardwood and tile flooring beautifully, picking up a myriad of chip crumbs, dirt, and I -don't-know-what-that-is left behind from our kids and pets. The vacuum itself is easy to push, it feels like it weighs about as much as a puppy. It does not have a giant canister, however, emptying the container was quite easy. As far as maintenance goes, it's easy. The removable container will require two hands though (one to hold it and the other hand to press the release lid at the bottom of the container), the brush slides out if you need to cut hair or string out of it, and the filter is reusable (just wash it and let it dry fully before popping it back in). The battery was also easy to work with. If you've ever used cordless power tools, the charger for this vacuum is about the same. The charging dock comes with a medium length cord (about the length a lamp would have) and you press in the two side buttons of the battery to release it from the vacuum and glide it in the dock. The dock will light up as it's charging and will turn off when complete. The vacuum on a full charge was able to clean our study, dining room, kitchen/eat-in nook, living room, and two bathrooms and a bedroom. All of the rooms had a combination of hardwoods, large and small rugs, and tile. It fits into our small closet perfectly and we didn't have to charge again. The vacuum has a nice, sleek design making it appear even less cumbersome than your usual vacuums. It does have a hand vacuum that worked really well. The buttons are quite simple, there's Power, Multi-Surface, Carpet, and Brush Off. I recommend the Multi-Surface the most and here's why. There were only two downsides to this vacuum. One is the carpet mode could not handle plush rugs. It would "skip" along the carpet no matter how slow I drove it around. It did handle low-pile rugs (our door entry rug, kitchen runner, etc) very well on both carpet and multi-surface. The other downside is turn radius on this is not as easy as our other vacuum, granted this vacuum probably weighs 10 lbs less than our older one, the wheels on this vacuum simply does not "curve" around as you push it. I definitely recommend this vacuum for it's lightweight, slim design for hard floors and small spaces.

This vacuum has been gorge at for me! It’s not the best for huge areas but that’s not what it’s meant for. I use it for inside my door way. I live out in the country and I have a young puppy that drags in a lot of dirt and my area is all carpet. This little vacuum cleans up the mess like a champ!!

Overall review is very good. This unit really has suction which is what I wanted. Love it because it's cordless. I did purchase another battery for the vacuum, because my entire house has carpet other than the bathrooms and kitchen. The battery life could be improved however.
