Posted .Hi dtibbs23! That doesn't sound right, and we want to help. If your unit is leaving the carpet wet, please try this: Ensure the filter at the top of the dirty water tank is clear, and that the gasket under the lid is intact. Also, please check the front nozzle for clogs, as this could stop the suction of your unit. The unit doesn't heat the water but can be used with hot water, but it does have hot air being pushed downward to help with drying the carpet. If your circular brush is falling off, it may be that the belt cover on your unit may be off, which keeps the brush in place. Ensure that it is in place. Carpet destroyer

If you have shorter carpet it might be ok, but it destroyed ours where we used it. Contacted Hoover directly and they were going to send us a lower model for the same price. Not happy with that, so we returned it to the store for a refund. Would not recommend for that carpet type.

The motor died after less then two weeks of use. Returned it for refund.. I am weary of purchasing another.. too bad they dont build anything to last anymore.. I know this isn't normal because my other cleaner would pick up 3/4 of the water dispensed. I will return this item.
