This item's power was lost after two months of use and I only used it about 5 times. The way they make vacuums today is not good. This vacuum smells as it picked up dust and particles from the carpet. It's just not good. Another waste of my money.

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS CARPET CLEANER!! It leaves carpet VERY wet. I cleaned my carpet and this cleaner left it so wet, it soured and smelled horrible. I kept running the cleaner over the area trying to extract more water, but it didn't help. I contacted the manufacturer and they said this cleaner was designed to only pick up 1/3 of the water that was used to clean the carpet. That means that 2/3 of the water was left in my carpet. I had to have my carpets professionally cleaned to get rid of the extra water and the soured smell.

Insufficient removal of cleaning solution - only pulls up about 1/3 of what it puts down. Incomplete cleaning solution distribution pattern. Only covers about 25% of the pass area.

I saw a lot of good reviews, so I purchased this carpet washer. We tested it out on the carpet we were about to be removing, and I'm glad we did. The carpet was soaked despite making an excessive amount of dry runs over the area. I had to set up fans and a dehumidifier to resolve the issue. Furthermore, the gasket to the discharge tank would not stay on, and took an operation to get it back into place after each dump out. Only then did I read the lowest reviews, and realized that these are very common problems.

Rubber ring around water tank broke loose and couldn't get it back on. Also, the water tank was almost impossible to remove.

Had it for a day and returned the seal for the water suction bucket will not seal properly so the machine would not properly duck up all the water.

This did not live up to our expectations...this machine does a "so-so" job, not powerful enough for the money. We returned this product.

Purchased the Hoover Power Path Pro to replace an aging Bissell steam cleaner, however found the Hoover make not nearly as efficient. The canister is easier to dump and replace solution and water vs the Bissell I had, however what's the point if it does not clean your carpets as efficiently! My recommendation go with a Bissell. Hoover is better at vacuums! Sorry not Sorry Hoover!

I bought this machine for light carpet cleaning in the home. I used it very sparingly, three or four times approximately. Within two years the motor blew. This is the second Hoover I have owned and it will be my last. The company's customer service is a joke. Save your money and rent a commercial grade cleaner. Its cheaper and does a much better job.

I wasn't very happy with this carpet cleaner. It's already been returned.

The gasket for the dirty water tank comes out and didn't go back in place without duct tape!

This was aweful the bearings fell out and motor smoked had it replaced twice in a year

I purchased this carpet cleaner and thought it had a good price. My wife and I took all the furniture out of the bed room and started to clean the carpet, you could not tell any difference, it didn't clean. Maybe because it is so lite or something with the brushes, I don't know but I was very disappointed and took it back.

I wish it sucks up water good and the seal doesn't fall off when pouring out water

I came home from work and immediately got to work. I was initially concerned that I might be disappointed with the results and feel that I wasted the money. Oh. My. Goodness. Girrrrl, this carpet hasn't looked this good since our 1st year here!! It got cleaner than when the leasing office schedules it. Still a couple faint pink spots from long-set juice stains (which are less noticeable) but other than that it looks NEW! Can't wait to roll around on it, hahaha. Also has a 'squeegie' attachment for hard floors. It's lightweight & super easy to assemble, use, fill and empty. As convenient to store and whip out as a regular vaccuum cleaner.. and it dries quickly!"

This carpet cleaner really does the job. It cleaned our light beige (never a good idea with dogs) fifteen year old carpet beyond my expectations. The Hoover cleaning solution left the carpet soft and smelling nicer than it ever has. The carpet cleaner is easy to assemble and moves smoothly and easily even on thick carpeting. The tanks are easy to fill and empty, and the suction is amazing. The carpet is still wet, of course, after cleaning, but not as wet as when it's professionally cleaned. It was dry by morning and never had the soggy carpet smell that usually comes with a cleaning. Get one. You'll love it!

This didn’t last 2 1/2 years and Best Buy is a joke. U buy there 2 year protection plan being told u have 3 years and u don’t, bearings went out n motor 2 months after warranty was out.!!!

I purchased this carpet cleaner as a gift for my mother. My mom is a clean freak. We have a small dog that lives with my parents and occasionally has accidents in the house. I have owned more expensive Hoover carpet cleaners in the past and decided to try this one as a gift. I have used this cleaner and it works perfectly. The carpeting looks brand new again. As for the Hoover unit...I was a bit skeptical about the quality of the plastic parts and price point, but was pleasantly surprised when using the unit. I will purchase one for my home soon as well. Remember to use slow strokes and only pull on the trigger when moving the unit forward. Release the trigger when pulling the unit back.

I decided to buy this after reading the reviews as well as getting a great price with BB's price match policy. Had some high traffic areas in the family room(2 little boys/no pets) that this did a great job on using multiple passes. I also used inexpensive carpet shampoo from HDepot and it worked as good(or better) as Hoover shampoo that came with it. Easy to assemble and clean. Good quality. Same noise level as regular vacuum.This has paid for itself after one use.

Gasket fell out the first time i opened it. won't sit properly. Had to glue it in place to finish my carpet. Also the hoover emblem is peeling off already.
