Overall, I am very impressed with this product. I am a multiple pet owner, so of course my carpet is always filthy. I would do spot-cleaning almost every day and was getting tired of it. This deep cleaner actually removed some old pet stains that spot-cleaning didn't completely eliminate the first go 'round. But I was completely sold when I went to empty the dirty water tank. The water was so filthy it was almost black, just from using it on a few high-traffic spots. It was gross, but impressive! As others have mentioned, the dirty water tank fills up quickly. I was surprised, because the tank itself is rather large. This must be to allow for splashing during suction because it takes a very small amount of water to be considered "full". And once the tank is "full" suction stops automatically. This is especially inconvenient when you're in mid-spray and your carpet is wet. But I'm willing to overlook this minor inconvenience because if how well it performs. Hoover products have always served me well, and this one is no exception. Highly recommended for pet owners.

This shampooer cleans much better than the Bissell that I had previously. However this is the second one that the handle broke off. There are only 2 little screws that hold it on. Both times the small plastic area around the screws cracked and broke off. This is a poor design.

I picked this up today at my local Best Buy. Had it out of the box and running in about 5 minutes. I cannot tell you how impressed I am with the cleaning abilities of this machine. I knew our carpets were in desperate need to cleaning. To be honest, I may still have them professionally done, but at least now I will not have to hang my head in shame at having anyone else see the FILTH that came out of our off white berber carpet!! You do have to be PATIENT. And you do have to buy cleaning solution. I was only able to do about 1/4 of our small living room with the 16 ounce bottle included in the box. But again, our carpeting was very dirty. I just realized that i has been 11 years without steam cleaning. Not good..... But like I said, patience is key here. Clean each section for as long as it is needed. If the extracted water is still brown (or black like it was when I started), you need to keep cleaning. Rinse twice as long as you think you need to so as to remove all residue. Don't stop until the water is fairly "clean" looking. Empty the tank, and then continue to go over the carpet in little "pulses" to extract as much of the water possible. If you do this you will be happy with the results.

Looking for an easy to use carpet cleaner. I had professional cleaners come in by the carpet would take 3 days to dry which meant they did not pull enough water out after cleaning. I like this hoover because I can control the amount of detergent to put in. I usually cut the amount in half. I can control the amount of water put on the floor for rinsing. I also can control the amount of time I put into extracting the water on the floor. Floors came out very nice. The dried quickly when I took the time to pull up the water well. Also it is very easy to set up and use which means I don't have to do the whole house at one time. I can do it in sections which makes the whole job less daunting.

Very easy to use. Effectively removes stains when you let the scrubbers work the specific area. Also does a great job of removing the dirty water afterwards. Easy to empty exhaust into the toilet and flush. Also easy to fill intake container with steamy hot water from the sink. I recommend getting a really good shampoo and take your time. It will stop sucking up water once the bottom container is full so thats a good feature. Simply empty and resume with fresh hot water. Once you have scrubbed the carpets thoroughly you should rinse and repeat in the opposite direction. Have fun ... I had a blast !!!!!

I pretty much used this to remove the water from the carpet, let me explain what happened. Our bathroom sink overflowed into our bedroom carpet and the Hoover was able to remove most of the water that the carpet absorbed. It made the job a lot easier.

This product is awesome. I have 3 boys who eat all over the house and there were stains and crusty spots everywhere. The powerscrub got rid of most of the stains on the first pass. The included tools allowed me to get the other stains out. The rinse cycle helps to keep the carpet fluffy instead of crunchy like it is when you use some carpet cleaners. I don't normally review but i had to let people know how awesome this product is.

This carpet cleaner does a good job. Easy setup, easy to use, and easy to clean. Most stains will come up easy. Only reason for the 4 star is the spraying mechanics. Easy fix was getting used to using it. Overall good carpet cleaner.

It is easy to install. The water tanks are easy to load and unload. It cleans and sucks the water very well. The clean water tank seems to be small so I have to re-fill the water quite often. That is a little inconvenient but acceptable. One thing a little bothering, the dirty water tank is leaking for the top cover. The water leaks when trying to pour the dirty water from the top hole. The seal ring (rubber material) does not seal well.

I researched, read then found this in stock and on sale < 50 bucks price was 129 plus tax. Setup took 10 Mins with-in 20 mins I was cleaning. My daughter plays sport, her carpet felt dirty but looked clean which is the reason I purchased. Wow I made one pass and the reservoir was DARK BROWN excitement it and started cleaning a sofa and chair with its hand tools, spent 4 hours cleaning I was on a mission. It didn't take long to dry and everything looks fresh and felt clean.

Works ssoooooo much better than Bissell cleaners Needs to have longer power cord to allow for larger roomd but love the machine

This was bough to save expense on carpet cleaning often since we have pets. This blew our minds with how much it picked up and how clean it got the carpets. Even har to clean carpet like burber! GREAT BUY!

My only regret is that I did not purchase a carpet shampooer before the age of 63 but finally decided yesterday to buy this one after it getting 4.5 stars. I used it today on an area that it very high traffic both human and animal kind. I love the ease of putting it together & using it. I don't understand why the 'solution' bin does not hold a lot of solution but for the small job I did today it didn't run out. I read that some people just use hot water to clean carpets so the hot water in the rinse bin will do the job. Someone reviewed it was a little heavy but I don't feel it is. I'm giving it 5 stars as I see no downfalls at this time.

I have already used this on all my carpets, and for my car interior. It works amazing, and I have had great results so far. Would definitely recommend! Make sure you read instructions first.

My old Regina Steam Cleaner (remember those?) just wasn't cleaning well anymore. I have 2 dogs and 2 cats and my carpets needed a good cleaning. I have a Hoover Wind Tunnel, which I love and researched the Hoover Power Scrub online. I read the reviews and felt very comfortable with my choice for purchase. I purchased it at BB, and after using it for about a third of a room it no longer was extracting water. I did everything recommended to get it to work to no avail so I returned it to BB the next day with no problem and got a replacement. I completed my carpet cleaning and I am VERY satisfied! There was so much yucky, dirty water in the reservoir so I know it was cleaning deeply. I can't believe all that dirt was in my carpet. So although I did get one that did stop working the first time, I still feel it is a superior product. I'm comfortable with the Hoover brand and highly recommend the Power Scrub. I had read a review where someone was disappointed because their carpet wasn't "sock dry" as described. I don't recall reading that description for the power scrub. Unless you have blowing heated air in the Power Scrub you're not getting a carpet to dry that quickly, so don't expect it. It is merely damp, but it does dry quickly. The extractor does a really good job getting the water out of your carpet.

this was a great deal and cleaned my carpet just fine. Worked better than any other carpet cleaner I have had with pets. I do have on concern, after one use the green brush seems to be worn down pretty bad and I am not sure of how long this will last. get protection plan a must just in case you have to replace the brushes before needed.

I used to have a Bissell Pro Heat, it did not clean as well as this Hoover. The first time I used it the amount of deep dirt it removed was very visible. I would recommend this highly.

Works very well ...only down fall water tank empties too quickly! However that's not a deal breaker just keep adding water to tank as you work.
