lightweight and easy to use quiet and compact haply

We used to have a canister style cleaner and it was very hard on the arms as you had to push down and drag it. This is no more work than just an upright vaccuum.. I bought it for my 82 year old mother and she loves it, no more dog dirt on the carpet.

I like this carpet cleaner a LOT. I've had the larger Bissel and Hoover versions before, and this smaller Hoover does just as good a job. It maybe even better at picking up more of the water you send down into the carpet. When I had the larger machines, I did a side by side test of those two. They seemed to do about the same job at cleaning, and retrieved equal amounts of the water. To me, this is an important feature, because I don't want a damp carpet for days. I hate a musty, mildewey smell more than anything, and I felt that the little red Hoover Power Scrub did a better job of sucking up almost every bit of water I began with. The smaller size was a plus too, when I came to narrow sections that my old larger unit would have never fit into. I'm really glad I purchased this cleaner. I'm very satisfied. Note: I also find that using a Pivoting Utility Fan that can blow toward the floor does an amazing job of drying carpet more quickly. Well worth spending $60 or so on one.

The water was nearly black on our first pass. We've found this to pick up all kinds of gunk and are happy with it. At its price, it's great.

Got out stains I thought were permanent! Refreshed the pile and made it look new! Got all pet stains out and I love the fresh scent! Smells clean but not overpowering! Love the two seperate water tanks! Cord is enough for one room.. So happy with it!

This is a great carpet shampooer. It cleans deep and the suction to remove excess water is very good. Leaves your carpet just barely damp.

The Power Scrub came in handy when I need to wash my carpets in my house and my car. It came with a hose like vaccum (for hard to reach spots and my car). I was amazed at how much dirt was in my carpet. Only wished it would'nt take so many cycles to clean out the carpet. But its probably due to me not cleaning the carpet for so long.

This thing works great and is easy to load water and solution. The emptying of the tank is easier then most cleaners I have used, which was a main concern when looking to purchase a new carpet cleaner. I am in love with this thing and as long as it keeps going for a few more years it's an easy 5 star review!

This machine is super lightweight and is easy to use. Love that it has two tanks it makes it easy to dump dirty water. And it cleans the carpet really well.

This carpet shampooer cleans well. Admittedly, heavy traffic areas need a second run. It's easy to fill and empty. Handy, but understandably weighted. The cleaning ability pleasantly surprised me.

I purchased this carpet cleaner to replace a 25 year old Hoover cleaner which developed multiple vacuum leaks and did not remove enough water from the carpet. First impression is that they really cheapened the product--it is much lighter and less complex than the earlier model. Looking closer, though, I saw that the product was redesigned to eliminate the points of failure on the earlier machine and to improve convenience. No more bendable hoses and tubes which failed on my earlier machine. I love the water rinse feature without having to dump the tank and add water. The dirty water dump is WAY easier. Overall, a great product which pays for itself with one or two cleanings.

I recently purchased this carpet cleaner because my other one stopped working. I have used it a couple of times and it really gets out the deep down stains. I have animals and the carpets get stained a lot. The brush attachment as well as the regular attachment work very well with little effort.

I've come to the conclusion that there isn't a "perfect" carpet cleaner, as they all have some drawbacks. This Hoover is well designed, with the tanks, brushes and covers all pretty easy to access and clean. It comes with a crevice tool, which a lot of mid-priced models don't have. It's not real heavy, but the smaller size also means the cleaning width is kind of narrow and the tank sizes are not large. If you clean carpeting in a house, you will need to refill and drain tanks often. I have used this cleaner to shampoo car carpets, and it works well for that. Overall, it's a pretty good deal for the price.

We got this to help with pet spots and kid spots. It has been wonderful to work with. The ease of refilling and emptying the tanks has been more than expected and even my kids can use this machine with ease! Highly recommend - especially if you have frequent spots that have to be attended to....

Having a dog & an old rug this shampooer brought it back to life. Excellent deep clean with a fresh smell. Easy to use & fast drying.
