This is a great carpet shampooer. It cleans deep and the suction to remove excess water is very good. Leaves your carpet just barely damp.

I have three large rooms beige carpet, and the carpet is pretty old. I've been using a borrowed Hoover that's at least 19 yrs old, but it's really dead. I can't believe how well this unit works. It has gotten out some really old stains, as well as taking care of my puppy problems...

This is very light weight for a carpet cleaner. It does a great job. Easy to set up.

This is my second rug cleaner. The first was another brand that had a bladder system and was very complicated to use, fill, and clean. The Hoover was very straight forward. Friends of mine had one, and love it. They recommend it for me, too. It's very easy to use. Filling and emptying very straight forward. Cleaning action was good. Also, the hand tools work very well. Highly recommend this product.

We burned out our 20-year-old Hoover rug cleaner when cleaning some disgustingly filthy area rugs from Kindergarten classes at out local church. This new one works better than the old one ever did. We have trusted the Hoover brand for generations.

I've owned a couple of different brands of these home carpet units, this one is, by far, the most effective one I have owned. The carpets in my house are white, I have a dog and 3 teen aged boys. This unit took my carpets from grey to white again. Effective, easy to use, a little heavy, but that plays in nicely during the extraction process. On extraction, this one extracts the best I have seen in non commercial units. Highly recommend!

Bought this machine to replace my previous Hoover shampoo machine. It is easy to use also a little lighter than my older model hoover. It cleans well and at a very reasonable price too.

This machine does the job for surface cleaning. It was light weight and easy to use. You will have to get out the attachment to scrub set in stain. Well worth the money and Im pleased with the price and quality

Cleans better than the Bissell unit that failed after being replaced. Have a Dog, 3 cats and daughter with very light colored carpets. This thing picks up all of that and more.

Had a Hoover before and when I had to buy a new one bought a bissel which was a Hugh disappointment ..sold it and bought another Hoover .. Sucks up a whole lot more then the bissel which means a faster dry time.

We just had our carpets cleaned professionally and got this unit to do our own furniture. My cat decided to throw up on our newly cleaned carpets, so we used this unit to clean up. We were surprised at how much dirt came up using this. Did I mention we just had our carpets cleaned...professionally? I'm going to clean my own carpets next time. Great product at a fair price.

This is the 2nd one I've owned, the first was relocated and still in great condition. The new and updated version superceded the previous model. It feels more compact and lighter, while still cleaning with the same power as the first. The dirty water tank is way more user friendly as the gasket stays in place and there's a drainage hole for quicker unloading.

Works very well. Lightweight. Cleaning was easy and quick. Dried quickly too.

This device was easy to assemble. I used very hot water (almost boiling - heated it in the microwave in a large glass bowl with a pouring lip & handle) and no soap or detergent. It pulled out the dirt beautifully and afterwards dried quickly on my Stainmaster carpets. This carpet cleaning machine costs less than the estimate I received from a professional carpet-cleaning business.

We have multiple kids and pets. Carpets don't stand much of a chance in our house. We purchased this cleaner to replace another brand that had given up after about a year. Initial impressions are that this one is meeting all expectations for extracting the kid and pet messes from our aging carpet.

I ordered this after reading reviews. I was not disappointed. It works better then any previous carpet cleaners I have owned or rented. It is easy to use and very easy to clean. If using yourself focus on the rinse passes more then the initial soap pass for best results.

The cleaner itself gets the job done and it very affordable. Very easy to use and put together right out of the box. Make sure you clean thoroughly after each cleaning so the dirt does not build up in the container. The only 2 cons are the cord is too short and the water gets used very quickly.

We have selected high traffic areas and all beige carpeting. It is a nightmare to keep clean. I was very pleased with this carpet cleaner, it is lighter and far easier to moving around than our old one. The two tank design makes it much faster to complete the job as well.

Despite all of the good reviews I was hesitant in purchasing this cleaner. When I saw it on sale for Black Friday that sealed the deal. Brought this baby home, started it up and began cleaning and I didn't want to stop. It picked up the dirt very well in every room of my home. Works with difference cleaners. It also left minimal water so it dried up easily. I would definitely recommend this to any first timer who is looking to clean their carpet really good.

Easy to assemble. Dual tank system makes entire cleaning process more efficient. Puts down much more solution/water than my previous 10 yr old Bissell Pro Heat. Note that this machine does not heat the water, but in my experience filling the supply tank with hot water is crucial for any machine.
