My wife bought this specific machine I think because it was on sale. And let me tell you that we used it couple of times already and are extremely satisfied. It does the job and it does it well. Very easy to use and it leaves the carpet almost very dry. Couldn't be happier. And it is a Hoover and very light for a carpet cleaner.

So far so good. My Hoover Platnum bit the dust about a year ago. I wanted the same but couldn't find it. While researching this one kept showing up at the top of the list. I liked all the features except it didn't have auto rinse. It has a rinse option but you just have to select it. All in all this is a great buy, light, easy to empty and cleans the carpets well

This carpet shampooer does a good job. Ive used it several times to clean my whole house carpet, including the stairs. It's light weight, easy to put together and use. I really like that the tools allow me to easier clean my light colored sofas. It has good suction which minimizes drying time. My only issue is the clean water tank. Its way too small

This is my second Hoover product. The first one I paid almost 300 for 8 years ago and it worked fantastic but over the years started to leak quite a bit. Gave it to daughter and purchased the Power Scrub Deluxe. Have used it 3 times in past month and it works fantastic. Not as wide of a cleaning path as my first one but very light and easy to maneuver. Does a great job of cleaning up after a dog accident or a kids muddy shoes. I would highly recommend the Hoover Power Scrub Deluxe. Highest rated and for the money buy far the best bang for your buck!

I was looking at a spot remover, but due to Best Buy's price matching, this was available at the same price (or cheaper) as a spot remover carpet cleaner. I chose this for the greater power and flexibility over a portable unit. The tank holds a gallon and cleans about half a regular size room going over everything twice. Used the Hoover 2x cleaner and it cleaned up everything on the floor (dog was sick from both ends!). The ability to clean or rinse is a nice option. You will need to go over areas twice with no water to make sure it sucks up as much water as it can. The hand held accessories are easy to use and worked fine too. It was easy to assemble, only two screws were needed. Directions are simple and I had it up and running in a 5-10 minutes. If you've ever rented a carpet cleaner from a store it's the same thing. Unless I need a professional carpet cleaning, this should save me money by not have to rent a carpet cleaner from a store in no time.

First time owning a carpet cleaner. I always had a professional cleaner come into my home. Lately I wanna just save some $ so I bought a Hoover carpet cleaner. This had some good reviews so I gave it a go. I took a before and after so u can see what the results was. I had to go over it a few times but it eventually got the job done.

We had not had our carpets cleaned in a while and did not want to pay a commercial carpet cleaner. We researched carpet cleaners and decided to purchase this one. I cannot believe how well it works and how is easy it is to use. I cleaned the carpets when my wife was out of town and she was pleasantly shocked at how well it cleaned out carpets and how easy it was to manage. It also did an awesome job on ground in dirt on stairs.

Almost perfect for me BUT I had to settle for a smaller tank which means more trips to the sink to change out/add water. - not a deal breaker. This is however better than another brand I owned in which the lines were always clogging up. It also cleaned my carpet better. Other like are the ease of use & easy clean up. The weight is just right. No complaints so far.

This replaced an older, and more expensive, carpet cleaner we've had for a couple years. We needed one on short notice and this had the most positive reviews. We've used it to clean up after multiple kids and pets, and so far it's been fantastic. Works great on spilled food,drinks, pet stains and the mud the kids seem to track in whenever they walk through the door. Easy operation, great cleaning power and easy clean up.

I researched for cleaner that would perform. We have used professional cleaners. They are good. They operate on a schedule/budget. We have older carpet. I wanted to spend more time cleaning it and get better results. The Hoover that I purchased exceeded my expectations. Easy to use, strong suction. Only con is that it is cumbersome to move up and down stairs (we have 14 to get from one level to another). This is a common issue for all cleaners and vacuums. The Hoover actually weighs less than a lot of competing models. I made sure all of the removable modules for solution and water, including the dirty water receptacle, were detached when moving the unit. This helps but be careful - especially in older house with steeper stairs.

I've tried a few different brands of carpet cleaners and out of all the ones I've used, I think this is my favorite one so far! My carpets are SO clean! It's crazy to see how much dirt and debris came out of them that I didn't know was there. I have white/gray carpets and they seriously look brand new. This cleaner was super easy to figure out. I'm someone who doesn't like to take a ton of time reading instruction manuals and much more of a hands on learned and I think with the exception of having to look up what certain parts do, i figured it out very easily on my own. BUT! the manual does seem very useful if you're that kind of learner. My carpets dried pretty fast with the help of the fast drying heat technology. The noise of the machine itself is minimal to some of the other brands I've tried. The solution you mix with to clean the carpets is pleasant smelling and doesn't smell like you're inhaling chemicals. Lightweight to carry around and up and down stairs. Easy to clean after and you can put all of your tools in a little bag supplied and hang them off the cleaner so you don't loose them. Highly recommend!!

This is a great carpet cleaner. Picks up a lot of dirt, which you can see right away. You do have to refill the water a lot and the machine does leak a bit. But overall, it does the job well.

I really liked this model easy cleanup of unit comes apart well and doesn't plug up under cover from buildup . It's lightweight a little bulky when going under tables and hard to reach areas

We purchased a Hoover Carpet cleaner a couple years ago and we only used it about 4 times and the trigger broke when we tried to use it this year. We had purchased the extended warranty which we don't usually do but I did after reading several problems people had with the older model. That led us back to the store to get the old one fixed. We found out that they don't fix them but you get a new one. We took this one home and tried it. It did a great job. I think it may work better than the last one. I didn't realize that you don't have to mix the cleaning solution so it took a few minutes to figure that out. It is a nice feature. The one thing that I had trouble remembering was to switch back and forth between solution and clear water. It is nice that you can rinse it with clear water. So far it works well for us. We usually do our carpets a couple times a year and we have a small house but it id definitely cheaper than paying somebody to come in. I know that it is to be better to use a dry cleaning for your carpet but our carpets are dry in a short time. I don't put a lot of water on the carpets and the carpets have cleaned up nicely.

We are renting a place where there is a big cream rug. Our cat has vomited quite a few times on it and even though I do my best cleaning quickly, it ended up being stained. This cleaner did a good job getting rid of the stains. I used the pet cleaner. It is noisy, I wasn't expecting that but I won't use it regularly so I got over it. It is a bit cumbersome to work on large surfaces, especially when you have to move from one stroke to the other, I wouldn't be able to do an entire room by myself. The machine is easy to set up and comes with several accessories.

I read a lot of reviews for this item from different retailers and most of the were true. This machine cleaned my small three bedroom house without a hitch. I was surprised to see so much dirt coming out of my carpets ( had them cleaned last year). The rinse mode is awsome!! I rinsed my carpet twice and got all the soap out. the suction power is very good, it did not take a long time to dry the carpet. Extremely easy to maneuver the unit and empty out dirty water (two tanks to keep clean and dirty water separate). I have, in the past ,used more expensive Hoover(??) ProHeat model in the past but this definitely beats it by a mile.

I READ THE INSTRUCTIONS TWICE & USED THE RECOMMENDED CLEANING SOLUTION. WE NOW TAKE CARE OF A DOG THAT HAS MEDICAL NEEDS SO WE NEEDED A PERMANENT SOLUTION TO CLEAN THE DIRT TRACKED IN & DOG HAIR AS OFTEN AS WE WANTED TO. I WAS VERY IMPRESSED ON HOW EASY THIS MACHINE IS TO USE & HOW MUCH DIRT IT GOT OUT OF MY CARPET WHICH WAS A VERY DIRTY. I DID HAVE TO REFILL THE WATER & SOLUTION OFTEN BUT I WAS SCRUBBING & RINSING TWICE & ONLY HAD TO DUMP THE DIRTY WATER TWICE. IT DID TAKE A DAY TO DRY BUT I USED A LOT OF WATER. IT WILL BE MUCH EASIER FROM NOW ON BECAUSE I CAN CLEAN IT ON MY SCHEDULE & CAN DO AS MUCH OR LITTLE AS I WANT. IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO TAKE THE MACHINE APART AS THE INSTRUCTIONS SAY ,(DON'T LOSE THEM & MAKE A COPY).& RINSE ALL PARTS & LET THEM DRY (I DID OVERNIGHT). 4 STAR INSTEAD OF 5 STAR BECAUSE MY ONLY ISSUE WAS CLEANING THE ROUND BRUSHES. DEBRIS & HAIR PACKS DEEP INTO THE BRISTLES THAT DOES NOT RINSE OUT VERY WELL . A SMALL 5" FINE TOOTHED COMB FINALLY WORKED TO GET MOST OUT BUT IT 'S STILL TEDIOUS. I LOVE THE CLEANING JOBS THIS MACHINE IS DOING FOR ME ON MY TIME..

Easy to operate and works like a dream. We have a chihuahua who is a return offender on the living room rug. Winters are not her thing when nature calls. The summer humidity enhanced what we couldn't clean. This purchase was our last resort (why did we wait)? Works amazing when you use hot water, was this our rug?! Leaves the floor fresh and only slightly damp. No regrets, got extra warranty for peace of mind, going to be using this alot...never ever getting that bad again. Love this machine.

I've always rented a commercial machine and have liked how it cleaned, but i never felt those machines were very sanitary. I decided to buy the Hoover power scrub deluxe. I was very impressed with how well it cleaned compared to the commercial machine. I like the option of rinsing vs. washing as well. The only drawback (why i gave it 4 stars vs. 5) is that the water tank is pretty small. I have to refill it too many times when cleaning, but it's a small sacrifice knowing that this machine ia cleaning my carpets so well.

My wife wanted this and is happy with it. It is easy to assemble and simple to operate once you figure it out. It is not very wide and wash a path takes four passes: 2 wet with detergent and then 2 to dry, then 2 wet with rinse and 2 to dry. So if it is a large area it takes a little bit of time. The detergent that came with it took out all but the hardest of stain which was easily removed with a spot remover afterwards. A couple of notes. You put hot water in the rinse compartment. It does not heat the rinse water. Also if you plan to do much cleaning at all shop around and buy the detergent in a large container. There is an extreme economy of scale in buying it. So it is great if you want something lightweight but if you can handle the weight and want to clean larger areas frequently you may want to consider a larger unit.
