Worked great until about a year after purchase. Used maybe twice a month for a year until it shouldn't hold in the contents of the clean water and the little soap bottle, which would slowly drop out when left standing up in the closet. Then the hook hear the bottom that's used for the power cord snapped upwards and made the noise from the motor louder.

Does a great job cleaning my carpets. Very east to use.

This does the job, though the type of cleaning solution used with it has a big impact on how good of a job it does. Glad I bought it because we were going to throw out 3 area rugs, but this brought all of them back to life. For heavier or deeper stains, it may require several cleanings with this to rehabilitate a rug, but this can do it!

I searched all over for the best carpet shampooer. I have used Hoover in the past, but I was looking for some improvements. I really liked the ratings on this one & was really happy when I found it on Best Buys site at a really good price. I ordered it online and had it delivered overnight. I used it for throw rugs, furniture & carpet. It is awesome.

This thing is awesome, we purchased a home and the previous owners had a pet and you can smell the urine from the pest on the carpet and it was new, we used this vacuum in the spot where the smell was coming from and we we're amazed of how dirty the water came out and we no longer have the nasty smell.

I am so impressed with how easy it is to use this Hoover SmartWash + Upright Deep Cleaner. I love how I don't have to control how much soap/solution I need to pour and there isn't a trigger to pull. All I have to do is push and pull back to get the stains off the carpet. The dry feature is amazing ! The carpet dries up instantly and is fluffed. This one of the best purchases I've made !

The Hoover SmartWash is just as easy to use as a vacuum cleaner. While going over a carpet that I cleaned with a 12-year-old cleaner this thing picked up substantially better, and also used less water. Going forward to wash and then backward to dry the area you just went over with is a very easy awesome feature!

Great shampooer, but replacing parts is an absolute pain. To replace the belt you have to take out like 18 screws... the motor in this blew out after only a couple years of light use, too. Not my favorite shampooer but got the job done well enough considering

This carpet cleaner is awesome works great I have 2 dogs and it is winter time so letting them out isn’t fun (muddy paws) decided it was time to clean the carpets and clean it did flawlessly I’m really happy with the results ....super easy to use and clean ..I especially love that I can remove the twin brushes To clean as in most models it’s not an option
