A friend recommended this vacuum cleaner. I liked the price tag, it's only $130. It is good on carpet but not for hard wood floors! I doesn't pick up the dirt, it actually blowing it to the sides! I ended up using regular broom to clean the kitchen floor! It has nice parts but not well made! sooo, this one is going back to the store!

I bought this vacuum recently - and it is the best vacuum I have ever used! It doesn't need bags, and it doesn't spray dust into the air as you use it. The upholstery accessory it has does superbly in cleaning pet hair off of sofas, chairs, beds, etc. I have several cats, so being able to get fur off of furniture easily is a big plus...

I replaced our BISSEL with this lighter vacuum. The attachments are very imited. It is not as maneuverable as I expected and most dissappointing was its inability to pick-up nearly as much dirt and pet hair as the BISSEL had, despite adjusting the settings to see if I had it set incorrectly. I am going back to "BEST BUY" to purchase another BISSEL - this model is a huge disappointment and I would not recommend it.

My only complaint that I have is that, on occassion, the power button has difficulty engaging or disengaging.Otherwise I feel that you get alot for your money ..... and of course I always find it a plus when I can purchase things from Best Buy. 95% of the time, they have the best customer service. I keep coming back.

This vacuum cleaner got a high ranking in Consumer Reports, which is what led me to it. I found to be a very good basic cleaner with well-thought out controls.

I bought this based on other reviews here and other websites to replace a canister vacuum. The vacuum was easy to put together, easy to operate and easy to empty the bag. However, for the main room I wanted to use it to clean, I had to plug/unplug at least 5 times because the cord was so short! The room is not huge but not just a small bedroom but this was just way too much work. I returned it.

Consumer reports overated this one... Works the same as other vacs for a similar price. Plastic handle seems like it could brake any time.... time will tell

I had an Eureka before this that quit after 3 years. It looked like it was brand new, I vaccumed the whole house after I got the new vaccum and was surprised at the dirt that came out of my rugs. I did buy the extended Guarantee just in case this one quit on me too. So far it's great... Definately would buy this...

should have looked a little closer for the option to turn off the beater brush but it works fine as is.

Awesome vacuum! This is one great vac and excellent value. We have used other brands and are totally satisfied with the Hoover brand and quality!

The first version of this vacuum that I purchased has issues with the belt that drives the floor brush slipping off. It slipped off 3 times in the first 6 uses... So, assuming this was defective, I had it replaced with the exact same model (which I like because of the features: powerful vacuum, bagless, reasonably light and detachable small brush)... The second vacuum broke after ~1.5 months when the floor brush drive belt broke.

It's a vacuum. It sucks up dirt and does a fairly good job. Pretty simple.

I really wanted to like this vacuum cleaner, but it is going back. When I used it on bare floors - tile, wood, or laminate - I could feel sand and dirt hitting my ankles. Instead of picking it up, the beater brush throws it backwards out of the vacuum. I really don't need a machine to rearrange the dirt - I want to clean. To be fair, it did a very nice job on rugs and upholstery, and the cord rewind is a very nice feature. If you have little or no bare floors you may like this vacuum. But well over 3/4 of our floors are ceramic tile and laminate, and you could see and feel the dirt left behind - or perhaps I should say relocated - by this vacuum. Going to have to keep looking.

Very nice for the price, good value. Lower priced vacs felt cheap (duh!). Good compromise between higher models.

I like all the features, and I'm happy with performance of the sweeper. It's easy to operate, and the attachments are also good.

consumer report rated it as top bagless vacuum. very eas to put together very easy to use and empty. all around great so far.

Great reliable brand for the price................

It pulls the dirt out out of the carpet like a charm.

Overall I love this product and am making good use of it for my single family house.

For the money we paid (~$160), this was a good purchase and a solid vacuum cleaner.
