This pet vac did not last long at all with two dogs. The motor went quickly. I would only recommend this vacuum if your dogs shed minimally.

I bought this after reading the good reviews but I felt the quality is lacking. The tools do not work well at all, it's somewhat heavy/bulky and just felt cheap.

I was debating whether to get a dyson pet vacuum or this vacuum since we have two dogs at home - one siberian husky and one is a german shepherd husky mix. By reading numerous reviews I decided to give this Hoover vacuum a try since it's incredibly cheap when comapred to the dyson vacuums. After my first time vacuuming, I have to say what everyone wrote on the reviews is true. It picks up dirt and fur very well. The attachments come in handy. The only down side is, yes, the hose is a bit short when compared with many other vacuums. But that's not a problem for me at all after considering its price and sucking ability. I only have had it for a day so I can't say much about its durability. But there's a 2-year warranty. I'm not all that worried. I would like to thank those of you who wrote detailed reviews! Super helpful!

Just out of the box - bought for my son to take to college apt - very easy assembly. Simple to use. Excellent suction. Almost too much so. It sucks right onto the carpet in the #2 position and was hard to maneuver; had to increase the height setting. Even on height #5 it was sucking up the throw rugs on my tile floor. Did a nice job cleaning though. I have a Dyson myself, so compared to that it has a shorter cord, isn't as maneverable, and I didn't like having to bend down and change the floor/carpet setting each time I went over a throw rug (Dyson just goes from one surface to another). But considering its about 1/4 the price of a Dyson, it certainly seems like a suitable alternative.

This product is not good for deep cleaning. It's okay for floors without carpeting. I wished I would have purchased a better product. :(

My wife and I were looking at many Dyson models and other vacuums in our pursuit to replace our aging hand-me-down model we were then using. After much research, we decided what the heck, this vacuum was made by Hoover and they have been selling vacuums forever, it felt like a nice vacuum in store and had a similar look to the Dyson vacuums, and - arguably best of all - it was about 1/5 of the price of the Dyson's. After having owned it now for a couple months, we truly love the vacuum. It has 90% of the features of a Dyson and I would submit to you that it works almost or just as good in terms of performance. If you are in the market for a vacuum and don't want to spend more than you did on your living room TV, give this vacuum a look.

I bought this because it was for pets and has good filters. I can only use it for about 5 minutes before it shuts off. When it does, the carbon hepa filter cartridge is almost too hot to touch. The filters aren’t even dirty! It’s usually hours at least before it will work again. I’ve let Hoover know about it but they said just clean the filters. THEYRE NOT DIRTY!

Similar model only lasted 2 years. Bought for color and price. The carpet height dial on this one doesn't work very well.

I have purchased 3 vacuums in the last year trying to find one that will pick up all the dog hair and dirt in my home. First was a Shark and it worked great but it lasted 2 weeks. It couldn't handle the amount of hair. Second was Eureka. Worked one time and then just stopped working. The Hoover has by far been my angel in purple. Picks up everything and has so much power. Not all that heavy. It may seem so cheap but so far the cheapest vacuum has been the best one with the best warranty. I highly recommend this for anyone with pets and lots of dirt. I can't see myself getting anything else again.

Can not adjust properly from diff carpet thicknesses. Disappointed

I Love Love Love this vacuum cleaner. I have 3 dogs and a cat. With all wood floors and one rug, I was sweeping a lot!! The first time I used it on the rug, it almost filled up the canister!! I was shocked at the amount of hair, but very impressed. The long chord is great for going down hallways. The pet brush, grabs every hair. It also works great on the furniture, hard wood floors and here's the best part.....the long handle extensions allow me to clean the lint out of my dryer!!!! I got this on sale, which made it even better but I would pay full price because this thing is awesome!!

It worked really well for a while but i broke on me recently. Disappointed!

Loved it until it stopped working and blowing all the dirt out instead of in and now I have dirt in my carpet that it spit out that I can clean up until I buy a new vacuum. only had it less tan a month and always kept it clean and empty.

When getting cats, my boyfriend's fear was always going to work covered in cat hair. That started to happen. I scoured through reviews and product details before getting this one. I LOVE it. It glides over hardwood and tile, and really goes in on the carpet. There's no longer cat hair everywhere, and it's wonderful. I'm also allergic to my cats, and since using this my symptoms have let up somewhat. Easy to put together and use, the different levels are nice. I used the upholstery tool on my couch and it looked new again.

the seal on the case around the filter is not tight and on my first run on the carpet it filled up and you can not clean it out without taking it apart. You can not vacume any rugs without sucking them up like the kitchen rug or bathroom

After researching a bunch of different vacuums that were supposedly great on pet hair, I settled on the Hoover. I own 3 Maine Coon cats and their hair is impossible to keep up with. This vacuum tackled my hair problem incredibly! I owned a Dyson before and it never did the job this vacuum does. I love it and highly recommend it! !

This vacuum cleaner never worked well, then it completely stopped working after three months.
