Its suction power is very good and works very well on carpets and hard floors. We have a shedding lab and the pet tool is ok but I think Hoover can engineer this to be better. It does the job but I have to run multiple times on surfaces like pillows, cushions etc to get all the fur.

GREAT PRODUCT

I wanted something good for animal hair pickup and easier to move around. This solved my problem. You can adjust the height of the unit to make it easier or harder to work. Actually the adjustment is for carpet and floor but it still picks up dog hair and does a great job at a level at a higher level. Would highly recommend, very satisfied.

Good suction, short cord

The height adjustment has to be manually changed even for the high and low carpet, which I'm not used to, my Dyson does it automatically, but my Dyson was $300. Biggest problem is that the cord is VERY short. I have to move the plug all the time or it comes out of wall, I could use an extension cord, but that defeats purpose of the automatic cord rewind. So, I may take it back. But I may keep it because the price is right!
