Ok vaccuum but expected better performance
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It does the job but is heavier to push than my old one. Plus it doesn't vaccum the edges along walls or furniture as well as hoped. To get the best suction I have to keep it on brush-mode or else bare floors don't get cleaned as well. And it's very noisy when the rollers are on.

not worth the money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Broke after 1 week. Vacuum head wouldn't stay down for suction without manually holding it down with my foot. Definitely not worth the price!

Not too big, not too small, Gets the job done
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had, and still have a bagged Hoover for more than 10 years, and still working perfect with exception of few plastic parts that needed to be replaced for normal wear and tear.. but I have knee problems and noticed my knees hurt after vacuuming, probably because the vacuum was so heavy, so I decided to go for this lighter version of the wind tunnel. This vacuum is super light, and very maneuverable. Is perfect for small to medium homes or apartments, and I would recommend specially for people who needs a light, but still powerful enough, such as people with knee problems like me. This not as powerful as the my old bagged wind tunnel, but still powerful enough and always picks up a lot of dirt, even one time right after I got the carpet washed. Hair gets excessively tangled in the brush, and I mean A LOT.. (see picture) so if there are people with long hair (there are 3 ladies with long hair in my house), you will find yourself having to open the brush case to cut and remove the hair. This is not a complicated task, but is not a snap neither.. there are about 5 screws that needs to be removed, so if there are long hair at your house, and you think you can not perform this maintenance task in a regular basis, stay away from this model. Also one filter must be washed frequently, but it was designed to make this an easier task. The brush works with an independent smaller motor, with is good because it still fast, but stops when something gets in it. (My old bagged wind tunnel would destroy anything it catches). Also, when changing from floor vacuuming to the hose vacuuming you need to turn a lever, which you need to get used to.. Finally, less important, there is not a place in the vacuum to hold the hand brush attachment, which in my case is annoying because I keep loosing it.

SLEEK DESIGN!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Solid performer. Looks sleek and stylish. Very powerful. Works great on low profile carpeting. Office/Commercial. Not so great on plush carpets. Easy to maneuver, and compact design makes it easy to store.

Sell the Dyson and get this one it works !
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have read the reviews from all sites and some complain this does not work well on carpets..Actually its the best on carpet..Here is why..other vac say self adjusting for floor or rug..which to me they never work..Others have adjustment in the front..lvl 5 or some 7..but again they never are high enough and you have to really turn to make it adjust..This vac..has on the right side an easy knob and you can turn it ever so slightly to adjust for a floor or a rug, in fact I have a very new rug that I spent 6 months going to stores and trying every vac, there was even hoover and none worked as the rug is very thick and soft...this vac works on the rug its a miracle ! And why does it work..its not self adjusting and I can adjust this ever so slightly that it works also works on area rugs also you can turn off the beater bar, they made all the right things on this one and took off the silly things that you don't need, who needs a cord that rewinds it self..I mean they all break anyway..I like that they put all the good things in this vac, and its not too heavy and not too light...just right and I have back and neck issues, If I can use it so can you...the way its built you would think its self propelled but its not..but this thing moves so smooth..easy to push..one more thing easy to use the hose...you know on those other vacs its take this do that, etc..this one..you just pull it up and out and it works!!..so you can do stairs and they give a nice power attachment for that too..I am telling you this vac is a dream..its what a vac should be....get one you will love it !

Great for pet hair
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works better than my last Hoover, but then again I spent more this time around. Best Buy woman tried to sell me on the $600 Dyson and I could NOT justify that much money spent on a vacuum when it has a smaller motor. Good price point, and you get a ton of power for the money. I'm satisfied, but I wish I knew where the little brush tool attaches and why it doesn't work that well

As always, you get what you pay for...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great machine for it's size. I have spent over $1000 on vacuum cleaners in the past 5 years (most have been given away within a month because they don't work for ME). The most recent purchase (Hoover Windtunnel Platinum canister) has not been given away because I did not find a replacement until now. I have 4 requirements: Powerful, Bagless, Hard Floor + Carpet, ability to clean below, couches and dressers, tools for the ceiling, corners, curtains, fixtures, etc. The canister had one flaw; it weighs a massive 26lbs. Cleaning the house is exhausting. The job would take me 2 days because it is heavy and the hose in inflexible. The Good: I have owned the Air Pro for two days. It weights in a measly 15lbs. I have finally cleaned my home (70% hardwood, 30% Carpet, +6 rugs) in 4.5 hours. This includes ceilings and crevices. Lifting the machine, to clean the stairs, ceilings, corners, fans, lights, fixtures, etc. is a breeze. The bad: The rugs are a challenge. Turn on the Brush locks the rugs to the machine making it immovable. Turning the dial slightly away from the Floor setting and towards the Hose setting (distributing the air thus reducing the suction enables the machine to move) and turning on the brush helps while it heats up the brushes. You'll have to play around to find the correct setting for your carpet/rug. Summary: This is the best vacuum cleaner I have found that fits my lifestyle (form, function, and COST). Yes, it leaves a lot to be desired. Hoover is so close to making a great vacuum. maybe the next iteration will be a highly improved machine for today's homes.

Yet Another Great Hoover Product!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've got to say that this new Hoover Air Pro is truly a great vacuum. I like how there is no more extra hoses to connect, just flip the knob from floor to hose...Brilliant! I also love the new steerable feature as it makes vacuuming fun. This vacuum is very powerful as with all the Windtunnel vacuums and does not lose it's suction. It is also easy to vacuum furniture with the included power hand tool, just attach it to the handle and flip the knob to Hose. Thanks Hoover for another great product!

Great vacuum
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We had a Hoover for many so decided to choose a Hoover again when it was time to replace it. We live in the desert where the dust and dirt are extremely fine. It has a very strong suction that really does a great job picking up the extra-fine dust. Very lightweight and easy to maneuver around furniture.

not good
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A lot of dirt/dust goes straight from the dust cup to the prefilter which helps it to overheat quicker so you must clean that filter at minimum every time you use the vacuum. Second, it overheats routinely, requiring you to shut it off, wait, and then try to finish before it shuts off again. I found out later this was a common problem with this unit and seems it is a poor design and/or the motor is inadequate for the design. You have to wait long time every time cleaner stops working overheated. Terribly annoying
