I needed a new vacuum to replace an old Eureka I had, but it had to work with high pile carpet. Reviewing the vacuums Best Buy has on their site / in store, it's hard to tell which ones will work with our style of carpet, so we took a chance on this. First, I should note that this vacuum has a dial that allows you to dictate how much sucking power goes to the hose, and how much goes to the vacuum head. This ended up being essential for my use, as on full suction, the vacuum will not work on my carpet. Dialing it down a bit, however, does allow the vacuum to move freely over the carpet. It's a bit of an annoyance, but it works. I found that the power button on this machine - this is located on the handle instead of on the side or bottom of the machine like most others - is a bit of an annoyance because you can't just turn this off with your foot, but have to bend the machine down to reach it with your thumb. Overall, it's a decent machine that does what it's supposed to.

Great vacuum! So easy to use and clean! Very good suction

This vacuum does an outstanding job of vacuuming carpets of different heights and solid flooring, as well. It holds quite a bit of dirt, and it cleans quickly (although a little messy).

I originally bought the same type vacuum from Hoover Wind Tunnel 3 for pet but saw this one was more updated. The old one still works and never lost its suction but the belt broke on the old one after 5 years of owning it. I would recommend this product because i do see the improvement with extension of the tools, has lighting to get under dark places like the bed, and i am always amazed how much dirty it sucks into the canister.

The vacuum itself works great. Suction is good and cleans the carpet really well. The attachments I'm not really pleased with...they are not user friendly and if you bump the attachments they can fall off easily. Overall it was a good deal on the vacuum cleaner so I can't complain too much.

First time my carpets have looked clean in a long time. Easy to use!!!

Very pleased with the attachments and performance. Home with pets and it really does help with the pet hair.

I used to check the Dysons out just casually inspecting them for overall build based on nothing more than an unplugged visual inspection which usually left me wondering why the higher cost because upon these quick inspections I noted what seemed to be a cheap plastic build and some creaky noises typical of other plastic vacuum manufacturers. Why did I change my mind? It's because after trying several vacuums in the under $200 price range and being left with broken gears and other miscellaneous part breakages I decided to ask the Best Buy sales representative for recommendations and she convinced me to at least give one a try knowing I could return it if I was less than pleased. Ok, so what at first seemed like the typical plastic is nothing of the sort, it's much thicker and the fittings have what appear to be high quality embedded metal hardware, the HEPA filter cover for example has a ratcheting nut that prevents you from overtightening. Other signs of quality soon became evident such as the gauge of hose spring coil and vinyl thickness and this is possibly a negative in one way in that it tends to fight me a little when I try to extend it to reach something with the various tools but to be honest if it means that it'll last longer than I can live with that plus it will probably relax a bit after usage. I won't get to much into the cleaning capability as that has been widely published by others but count me among those believers, I am now and will continue to love my Dyson for many years, they are truly of higher quality than others and while admittedly overpriced there really is nothing better that I have owned or used.

It absolutely sucks, but it’s supposed to. It pulls itself, so the 18 pound weight really isn’t even an issue, and it pulled up more dirt and hair than the Eureka it replaced ever did and I didn’t change a single thing in the way I vacuumed. Outstanding piece of equipment, I must say. We’ll see how it goes in the next few years.

Love this vacuum. Good price point and works very well

Got this vacuum on sale and it picks up good. Its hard to push back and fourth on carpet but it doesnt bother me, so if your not that strong you might not like it. Also theres a switch on the side to go back and forth to the hose and the bottom for regular use. So over all its a great vacuum with great suction.

A great vacuum but it seems after 2-4 yrs the belt or something inside the vacuum just starts smelling burnt! If it wasn't for the smell alone...The vacuum itself is still doing it's job but I just cannot handle that burnt smell plus I'm scared it's either going to catch the rug or the vacuum itself on fire...So it has to go :( (this was our 3rd one! I hope they figure it out it is a good vacuum).

Easy to operate, cleans really great, and really like the bagless option.

The Hoover WindTunnel High Performance Pet Vacuum is a great product for the value. We always buy Hoover vacuums, and this one is the best because it has powerful suction. You can tell the motor is powerful. If you have pets, I recommend this Vacuum for sure!

Is a great vacuum cleaner! Has lots of suction power and the pet hair attachment for furniture is great. No strange filters to deal with and great suction every time. The downside is the belt! If the brushes get stuck on anything, the belt burns in seconds! Fortunately they are quite inexpensive to replace.
