    Bad vacuum

    After 1 month of use. Starts to overheat. Was advised by Hoover customer service rep to take to an authorized vacuum repair shop. Took it there ..said hoover couldn't do anything and wouldn't honor warranty. He took off some parts and cleaned out the hoses and the insides to insure proper airflow and suction . Brought it home ..used for a day and it overheat again and stopped worked. I have a big house and have never had an issue like with any other vacuum Don't buy ..vacuum is trash.

    We haven't even had it 6 months and it has gotten horribly blocked 3 times, and not from vacuuming up something we shouldn't have! It is unbelievably heavy, and the on off button is a huge pain.

    Worst buy, its bulky and hard to operate. Barely a month I bought it it started breaking apart. Do yourself a favor, stay away from this product.

    Does NOT have the option to turn the roller off

    This Wind Tunnel 3 does NOT have the brush roller shut off as it was stated that it did have in the specifications of this product. Because I specifically wanted the option to turn the roller off while using the vacuum on hardwood floors and bare floors I am returning it to Best Buy. I tried to add the screenshot of the item specifications to my review but would not allow it.

    It vacuum’s up but the attaches fall off and the cord has a tendency to get wrapped around my foot while vacuuming. I’m stiff with it now

    I have a very low pile carpet, yet I have to set the vacuum on its second highest setting otherwise I am unable to push it without extreme effort. Even then, it is difficult to push. The vacuum is terrible on hard floors.

    Not for me. No turning or pivot to help you maneuver. Suction was so so. I returned it. Not to mention that I purchased a new one and received an open box one during COVID

    Poor - Unit didn't function right out of the box

    Very disappointing experience for a Hoover. Poor quality product. On the first use, the vacuum began to smell like burning rubber. The brushes were not turning and clearly the belt was slipping. When I returned it, the cashier said that she had the exact same thing happen, with the same model to her.

    Not worth the money

    This vacuum does not suck up anything except the money I used to buy it. My son spilled some uncooked rice on the floor and this "vacuum" couldn't even suck it up, it just pushed all of the rice to wherever I pushed the thing. I switched to the hose and was able to get up all of the rice but once I lifted the vacuum to see if I had sucked it all up, rice started falling out of the vacuum. Not happy and I will be returning this thing for something else that works. Also this thing is seriously hard to push!

    Piece of junk. Cheap made not in price. Too late to return when started using. Does have good suction for hose use

    Works great on carpets but terrible on hard floor. If your house is carpet than I would recommended but if you have wooden floors I would stay away.

    this vacuum worked great when I first got it, but over time it started to shut off randomly while I was using it. thankfully I had the protection plan and exchanged it

      Hi pbbb, thank you for reviewing the Hoover WindTunnel 3 High Performance Pet Upright Vacuum. Your vacuum has a safety feature called 'Thermal Protector' designed into your cleaner to protect it from overheating. When the thermal protector activates, the cleaner will stop running. When this happens, unplug it from the electrical outlet and empty the dirt cup. Inspect the nozzle inlet, hose connector, hose, dirt cup inlet, pre-motor filters, and HEPA filters for any obstructions and clear obstructions if present. You can use the handle of a broom to push through your hose to ensure there are not any clogs hidden. When your cleaner is unplugged and the motor cools off for 30 minutes, the thermal protector will deactivate and cleaning may continue. We hope this helps!     The vacuum functioned well but within the first week the cord holder broke. After that it was very hard to use. The cord was tangled all the time. The the cord started coming apart.

    Doesn't have a retractable cord, that was in the description. Picked up great on first use, but after that not so great, even after recommended cleaning.

    Awful. Just wanted this to work and of course, it breaks down 2 weeks after it no longer can be returned. What trash! I am ONE person with a small apartment, no pets, and it failed me! Filter cleaned, no clogs and it simply stopped functioning NO REASON. Now Im scheduling to take this albatross to Geek Squad to repair. I JUST bought the dang thing! Dont waste your money!

    This vaccumm looks great and sounds great but it doesn't lock up like it claims to. It runs right over debris and leaves about half of it on the floor. Returning immediately

Turn off the unit and disconnect the nozzle to remove the debris. While you have the filter removed rinse it with water until the water runs clear, allow dry time (24-36 hours).     Worst Vacuum Ever!

    I bought this vacuum and I thank God I got the replacement warranty. I returned it after having it just a few months because it stopped sucking up dirt. It was easily replaced. I got the replacement in June and did not use it until July as I was out of the country for the summer. Now it has stopped sucking stuff up again! I cleaned everything out and still no suction. So I'll be taking it back to the Geek Squad for another replacement. I'm hoping to just be able to get another brand or something.
