A thermal protector has been designed into your cleaner to protect it from overheating. When the thermal protector activates the cleaner will stop running. If this happens proceed as follows: turn the cleaner off and unplug it from the electrical outlet. Empty the dirt cup. Inspect the nozzle inlet, hose connector, hose, dirt cup inlet, cyclonic filter, rinsable filter, and HEPA filter for any obstructions. Clear any obstructions if present (this should also help improve your suction). When the cleaner is unplugged and the motor has cooled for at least 30 minutes, the thermal protector will deactivate and cleaning may continue. If the thermal protector continues to activate after following the above steps, your cleaner may need servicing. Please email us at [email protected] and reference this review and your model number. Your vacuum has a safety feature called Thermal Protector designed into your cleaner to protect it from overheating. When the thermal protector activates the cleaner will stop running; unplug it from the electrical outlet and empty the dirt cup. Inspect the nozzle inlet, hose connector, hose, dirt cup inlet, pre-motor filters, and HEPA filters for any obstructions and clear obstructions if present. When cleaner is unplugged and motor cools off for 30 minutes, the thermal protector will deactivate and cleaning may continue. Comparing the different vacuums avaliable in the store I decided to go with the Hoover Wind Tunnel 3. Pros: Light weight Great suction Easy to clean out Long cord Easy to maneuver Cons: Brush attachment falls off easily On/off button is hard to push if you have nails Cord gets in the way of hose Overall, I am very happy with this vacuum.

Recently my Bissell pet vacuum went south and I went to purchase a new one. Upon arriving at best buy and researching vacuums this Hoover Wind tunnel 3 kept coming up with great reviews, especially for pet hair. I have 2 boxers and they shed like crazy! I decided to purchase the Hoover as it was on sale at a great price and the Bissell vacuums I was not at all pleased with the design or recent reviews. The Hoover wind tunnel is a bit heavy but the pros to the vacuum outweighed that con. Overall it's a very nice vacuum. Pleasant design and the attachments are super nice. Only reason I didn't score it at 5 was due to its weight.

I miss my Dyson!!!

Never gave me problems, was lightweight, and turned on a dime. Got into smaller spaces perfectly. Recently it started spitting the stuff I was vacuuming out the back and we tried to fix it to no avail. My husband went out and bought this Hoover on the recommendation of the sales rep (I guess the sales rep was uber excited to promote this one). It's super high tech, has lights, some multi-floor sensor thing, and it's good for households with pets (we have 2 gorgeous kitties). But it's SO HEAVY!!!! My arms got tired within minutes lugging this thing around!! It definitely doesn't maneuver as a dyson does, it's bulky, and I have to take breaks to rest my arms. I definitely miss my lightweight, easy to maneuver Dyson.

Excellent for its Purpose

My only hope was that it would pick up the dirt from carpet and it does that better than any vacuum I've every had. It might be a little heavy for some elderly people but raising the height of the brush helps with that.

VERY strong Suction
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I picked this vacuum and after a quick 5 minute assembly, I realized the brush width was 15 inches. This means more area coverage! Be very careful and adjust floor vs carpet. The suction is so strong ,I can see damage if this vacuum is not used properly. Yes the vacuum is loud. The holding canister disposes garbage easily BUT taking the canister apart will be needed to keep airways 100 percent functional. I'm very pleased w this unit but caution needed while using this beast.
