Good for lightweight vacuum
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I mainly purchased this model because it is lightweight and I am fairly satisfied with it. Good for the price. Easy to carry and store. I had read good reviews as far a pet hair issues, but I find that not to be true. Takes several passes over the same spot to take care of lint and pet hair. I previously had an Oreck, which was also light, but seemed a bit more powerful - a lot more pricey though. For light vacuuming needs, this is perfect. Not sure it would have been so great when my children were growing up.

Great vacuum for the price!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was the lightest upright vacuum cleaner I could find. I wanted a light weight cleaner as I have had heavier models in the past and dreaded carrying the item up and down stairs but I didn't want to compromise the cleaning power. Just the bulky nature of the machines makes moving them vertically a challenge, but Hoover eased that problem with this model. On this one, the conveniently placed carrying handle makes moving the vacuum up and down stairs much more efficient. I also love the fact that the filter doesn't need to be replaced, just washed and dried. It saves you some money and time to the store. Also, the debris canister opens from the bottom when emptying which ensures that the majority of debris in the canister is removed.

Doesn't do it's job
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this on a Cyber Monday. Having a very small apartment, I used the hand-held attachments to clean my whole house, because the regular vaccuum part did not pick up anything at all. As soon as I moved to a bigger place, I threw this vaccuum away.

Pretty good but missing features
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have used a few cheaper bagless models over the years, maybe I've gotten used to those but this being my first hoover I was expecting better things. This is priced midway between a dyson and a cheapo so you would expect carpet height adjustment but this does not. As this is the bottom of the range air model they decided to leave it out, the next model up has an auto height adjust. Also missing is one of those small rotating brush upholstery attachments which the next models have. This is the 1st vac I've used where the handle also acts as a tube/wand and is removeable from the unit. Although a nice idea the problem is it makes the handle wobbly when you push & pull the vac, such a design can never have a solid feel. Also due to it being a tube the handle end is an open tube with a not very rounded edge, not very comfortable if you want to hold it by the end of the handle which you may prefer but its nice you can adjust the handle height. The included tool feels pretty basic and it doesnt feel very secure in its slot so I left it off during use, I didnt feel like picking it up every time it may fall off. The flexible hoses are a bit of a pain cos you cant just pull it off & use it, you have to get down to remove it from the vac head and then you have to attach it to the wand/extra flexi hose/tool depending on what you want to do. The flexi hose uses clear plastic which I'm not sure how long it will last before splitting, I'm used to black hoses that feel tougher. Also the lock for the head is not a physical foot switch, it feels like its on a detent that uses pressure rather than a normal lock, 1st time I seen such design, I hope it lasts as long as a normal lock & doesnt weaken over time/use. I like the power switch for the brush but it was pretty essential due to no head height adjustment and the head is not very wide which is fine for small rooms but a large room and you will wish it was wider. Pickup was fine on my hardwood floors and it only got stuck on 1 uneven section of lino so the suction is pretty good. All in all I'm still in 2 minds as to whether to keep it which I was not expecting

Doesn't work
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Used it 3 times and it won't work. After all the research, I'm upset that this is such a waste of my time. Now I need to send this back to the store and find another one.

Good vacuum for the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had this vacuum for about a month and am generally impressed with it's suction power, lightweight and ease of use. One pass picks up everything, even dog hair. I have mostly tile and low pile carpet and it worked great. I'm not sure that it would be able to adjust for a high pile carpet. There are, however, some issues with the design. The hand tool accessory is very flimsy and has only a very loose connection to the vacuum when not in use. Mine fell off while I was vacuuming and cracked at the base. Also, if you need to clear the brushes, it involves removing 5 screws to get the plate off the bottom-very cumbersome and time consuming.

Powerful little machine
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this vacuum cleaner because my old vacuum (about 6 years old) just wouldn't do the job anymore. One of the problems I have is that my hair is very long and very thick. That creates problems for the roller so I'm constantly having to clean it. But, now, even though I keep the roller free of my hair, it just doesn't have any sucking power left. For several months I'd noticed that I just wasn't getting a good cleaning. Finally, after having the ceiling fan in the master bedroom replaced today, and trying to vacuum up the mess, I became so frustrated, I drove to Best Buy and decided to buy this vacuum (I had spent about an hour reading reviews and checking features on all the vacuums before I made my decision). I got the vacuum home and found that it was easy to put together (less than 5 minutes) and very, very light to maneuver. Then, I vacuumed the entire house. I had to dump the dirt catcher 3 times! It just goes to show just how bad the other vacuum had become. Of course, all brand new vacuums work this well. The real test will be time. I'll update this after I've had it and used it for a few months. By the way, I have two issues with it: 1) the attachment doesn't stay on; and 2) I haven't been able to get the rollers to adjust for the thickness of the carpet.

Great Vacuum
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent vacuum. Purchased as gift for mom. She asked for a lightweight vacuum that didn't lose suction. The vacuum is lightweight and has a windtunnel that doesn't allow the vacuum to lose suction. Also it automatically changes the level to different types of floors.

Awesome Vacuum
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this to replace my old Hoover vacuum. This one has great suction, the beater bar works very well and picks up everything in its path on the first pass. I love the long power cord and hose - I can vacuum my entire house without changing outlets. It's light, too...easy to carry. It glides and is easy to use. The overall sense of quality and polish is above and beyond the $500 vacuums out there. Overall it was a great buy and I'm very happy with it.

Inexpensive alternative to Dyson
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this a couple years ago at suggestion of the appliance associate at the time, I was looking to buy Dyson but put off by the price. He suggested, I brought it home. Within moments of my first use of my new Hoover, the old Eureka I had went to the curb. Suction is powerful for it's class, comes with the tools to finish the job. Brush roll switch is nice for hard surfaces as well, so you don't fling debris as you roll over it. Cleaning it up, rinse the prefilter in the canister, let it dry 24 hours or so, take the wind tunnel and stick it under the sink and shake and drain to ensure you get the residual dust out of it, and good as new. Easy to keep clean. Only problems I've had so far, the hose likes to separate from the connectors on occasion. I remedied that with some rubber cement, though I may use something more substantial next time. The hose setup is a tiny bit cumbersome, where you have about 4' of working length before you need the extension, plus disconnecting it from the floor tool, if you have a bad back that's acting up, makes it less fun. Third thing I ran into, which may be my fault, using the moist "vacuum safe" carpet powder, whatever the HEPA picked up, clogged that up quickly. I think that caused mine to overheat and now the HEPA filter makes a loud whistle since the cover that holds it fits loosely now. Finally, brush roll.....Human and pet hair does get wrapped up, and you may have to remove it once in a while, as with any standard vacuum. I'm actually considering upgrading to one that self cleans or the like if I were to replace this one. In the meantime, minus a few small flaws, I love it.

Small But Mighty
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Hoover Windtunnel Air came mostly assembled and did not require tools. It took a few simple clicks and it was ready to roll. A simple flip of the switch and this little vacuum was showing its power- WOW unbelievable! The suction was so strong that I could see if slightly lifting my heavy wool rug. I love the option of turning off/on beater bar. The reason I like it is because I have hardwood floors and I have to vacuum them usually I have to use the wand to do this but not with my new Hoover Windtunnel Air. I simply turn off the beater bar and move it across my hardwood floor and it sucks up everything without flinging it all over the place even the dirt in tiny crevices. I am majorly impressed! I like to use the beater bar on my carpet because it makes it a lot easier to move around. “I received a sample of this product to facilitate my review, but my opinions are entirely my own.”

Great Value
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After a long and arduous search for what would the best for my money, we ended-up choosing Hoover since they had a decent amount of good reviews, and I notice that the bad reviews, they responded in an attempt to help solve the customers problems, and for me that counts a lot. As far as the device goes, it does the job, we did not need to read manuals or anything like that, un-boxed, plugged in, and went right on to cleaning. We used for the first time after living in the apartment for almost 5 months, and the results was really good. No issues during usage, just plain and simple, working as expected. Now the question I still not answered is: Will it still work just as well a couple years from now, or it just degrade like other brands do?

strong little vacuum!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.well my near decade old dirtdevil finally fell apart enough to replace it. walked into bestbuy and couldn't decide till i saw this thing. it was the right size i was looking for and definitely looked neat. what sold me was the 11 amp motor, wide brush, rubber wheels and bagless canister. got it home and wow! very strong suction, quiet and has everything i need with nothing i don't. hopefully it lasts as long as the cheap dirt devil. don't forget the protection plan!
