The worst vacuum cleaner I ever used.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We bought this vacuum cleaner when we retired our 5 years old $50 Dirt Devil featherlite series 12 amp. We thought this Hoover looked nice and at almost $200 price tag, we thought it would out perform our $50 Dirt Devil. We have all hard wood floor and this Hoover didn't pick up much. I went very slowly on the same spot 3 times even then I can still see lots of dirty things not being picked up. Bigger pieces had a better chance of being picked up but even these only being picked up when I run over it on the spot where hose are attached (right side on the bottom). Connecting attachment to use a hose could be little troublesome but I thought I could live with it until I found out the hose had worst suction ever. On the third day with Hoover I started to dread cleaning. My $50 Dirt Devil was far better than this Hoover. We returned this product and paid $100 more and got DYSON DC 33 which is absolutely the BEST vacuum cleaner I ever used. Do not buy this Hoover, pay a little more and buy Dyson or pay only $50 and buy Dirt Devil!

DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

Upon first use, the hose broke off at both ends. Thinking perhaps I bought a defective vacuum, I exchanged it for another one. THE HOSE BROKE AGAIN, IN EXACTLY THE SAME PLACE, Poor design ... To use the wand or attachments, you have to disconnect the hose from the base of the vacuum. The hose is now stuck going directly down then has to make a 180 degree turn to be pointed upward or toward whatever you are cleaning, so it's not surprising that it would snap right off. And it did. TWICE. Never again ... I'm getting a Shark professional rotator for the same price and returning this cheap poorly designed Hoover vacuum.

Doesnt last

It had great suction at first, but it didnt pick up pet hair. My biggest pet peeve about it, is that it has WAY to many things to add, take off to use the hose. It is ridiculous. I recommend to stay away!

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Well, this vacuum was ok at first, but a few months after purchasing it, the plastic part between the upright part and the vacuum brush bottom cracked and broke. You would have to be careful to only move back and forth without twisting at all to not break it. Luckily it was under warranty and Hoover replaced the entire body at no charge, yet it took a vacuum shop almost a month to fix it.) Recently, right after our warranty ran out, now it won't suck anymore! It was off and on, as if it overheated, and then now just won't suck at all. I guess it may be good for some people who don't over use it, but this vacuum has thoroughly disappointed me! We have a golden retriever and use it on hard wood floors and area rugs, don't think that should matter, but something to keep in mind. So rather than trying to fix it, I guess I'll find a new one to buy.

Design Flaw
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The vacumm has a design flaw at the interface between the dirt canister and the hose/floor gasget. the canister can twist slightly creating a air gap which effectively eliminates the suction to the wand or floor. Noticed this after about 6 weeks when the vacumm had hardly any suction.

Not so happy with the purchase

Everything was working fine in the beginning until clip that connects the vaccum hose with the roller brush snapped off. It was not that we pulled hard or something. It just happened while attaching the tapestry cleaner accessory. Now this is useless even if rest all things are working fine. Please let us know if any way to resolve this.

poorly made product
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.It had plenty of vacuum, but the brush that's supposed to work on your carpet wouldn't do a damned thing. I made a point of following the instructions in the manual, but it wouldn't move. So I ended up wasting a lot of time returning it to the store.
