Customers are saying

Customers admire the Split Pad Compact for Nintendo Switch for its comfortable feel, cool design, and excellent grip. Many appreciate the overall performance, nice buttons, and perfect size of the Hori pad Controllers. However, some customers have expressed disappointment with the absence of rumble, wireless connectivity, and gyro features. A few have also reported experiencing stick drift issues.

Buttons are soft, joycons are not bulky, very comfortable to hold. Does not vibrate/rumble, which comes in handy when playing some games, but that’s ok.

Much more comfortable to game now in handheld. Still fits on the dock with this on too. Dont have to be switching back n forth. Yes, some features are missing like hd rumble and gyro but i think its a good compromise

I needed new joycons because the joy sticks on mine had been broken when I moved to a new house. I love these, not only because Gengar is my favorite Pokémon, but because they’re bigger than normal joycons and so much easier to hold!

Very good feel in the hands, both in button actuation and in general build quality. They have a nice weight to them and don't feel like cheap plastic waste. My only con is that the button mapping is a little unintuitive. If you switch the back button mapping often then you'll probably just memorize the sequence, but if you're like me where you need to change the binding once in a blue moon then hold onto the manual so you can reference it later.

These grips are way more comfortable than the joycons that come with the Switch, but they feel poorly built. I bought them because some reviews said they had less wiggle and felt more secure than stock joycons but I found that to not be the case for me. Maybe the ones I got are the outlier but there is a good amount of flex/wiggle. Also, the home button is pretty much useless if your Switch is asleep or the screen is off. They don’t have batteries in them so they only work when not in sleep mode

Works as expected. Analog sticks seem to feel better and be more durable than the stock switch controllers. Well priced as well. Feels more comfortable to use as well.

Had the Hori Switch Pad Pro, then picked this up. Buttons feel nicer, more comfortable in my hand (6’2 guy here), and made my switch feel more uodated.

Although these don’t have rumble or gyro. For most games in portable mode they are waaay better than the standard joy cons.

These split pad pro joycons are great especially for bigger handed people. They sit comfortably in my hands and I never feel like the Nintendo switch itself is slipping through like with the regular joycons. Especially with the added turbo buttons and the mappable buttons that are on the back make it great for when I play shooter games or Pokémon. Definitely would recommend these to anyone looking for a more comfortable grip for playing in handheld mode.

They're pretty great controllers if all you do really is playing handheld mode like I do. If you play a lot on the TV they cannot be used wirelessly and they do not have rumble and most of the features that the Nintendo switch controllers have but it has an amazing d-pad and it feels very good in the hands, especially while playing very long sessions I would say definitely worth the money at least for me, the regular Joy-Cons are just too small and just cramp my hands

Just the best controller option for the Switch's terrible included joy-cons. I wish that Nintendo cared enough to make such a product, but luckily Hori is here to save the day. I wasn't too keen on the last model of the split pad, but these really feels great. The color scheme is pretty awful though. Not sure what they were thinking, it's like a white and sickly green. Hopefully we get some new color schemes in the future.
