    A godsend for Handheld Mode!

I've had a Split Pad Pro about a year now, and they kick butt. For a 6'6" guy with big hands, they're basically a godsend for Handheld Mode play. The D-Pad and Thumbsticks are top-notch, and not once have they drifted on me. There is no NFC, Rumble, or Motion, but the Turbo and Assignable Buttons make up for that. If you love handheld mode play, I say get it.

These are really good. They fell way more comfortable than the joy-cons in handheld mode. Absolutely would recommend.

What a game changer these are! Completely changes the dynamic and comfort of playing the switch hand held. Super duper light weight and feel really good in the hands. Completely opposite of the joycons which bunch up your hands and feel uncomfortable with longer playing sessions. These are a must!

I bought this over 10 months ago and they still hold up very well. It’s comfortable to hold and has several extra buttons for whatever you need to use them for. It’s very great quality and I am extremely satisfied with my purchase.

Lightweight, easy to use, only critique is if you have small hands it can be hard to grip but like it better than joy cons.

Finally, a Nintendo Switch (split pad) controller that is not too small for my hands! Feels smooth, comfortable and looks good. Does not work when disconnected and does not use amiibos. Still not a loss for me but a win!

As a grown man I really hate the way Nintendo makes everything so tiny. I tried every grip case I could find and every single one was garbage. I thought I would never be able to comfortably game in handheld mode with my Switch until I found these beauties. Not only are they waaaaay more comfortable, the sticks are much more defined in their control, making FPS games actually playable. They’re nice and stout and don’t feel cheap at all. They make your Switch HUGE, but it’s totally worth it. If you don’t have these get them.

He's controllers are very comfortable to hold and the buttons are stiff which I like however there was a downside and that downside is I was playing super Mario deluxe u and there is an action you take when you shake the controllers and unfortunately these controllers have no shake sensitivity or I'm not sure exactly what you want to call it but when you shake the controller the action is not taking and that was a downside

Great controller attachment for the Switch, especially for anyone with big hands. Feels good playing, my hands don’t cramp up due to the smaller sized joy-cons. There are two negatives to these however; 1- It does make the Switch feel very wide. 2- I don’t think there is any type of protective case you can use with the controller attachment.

A Great Handheld Mode Alternative for At-Home Use

For the price, this can't be beat. Can't be used as individual JoyCon as they have no batteries (and the orientation wouldn't work that way anyway) but for handheld mode this is far superior to just using 2 JoyCon. Much less portable this way, though. For in-home use, however, they're wonderful.

would get another star for wireless capabilities. i ended up getting a converter so that i can use my pro pad with tablet mode as that is a good option too also picked up the compact metal stand as this makes use of the downward facing usb-c port through a A adapter possible this makes a heavy and large setup in handheld and the save for this is just a catch of a square nub that you support the whole unit with your pointing finger. This works better for some games than others and i haven't had luck remapping the buttons or using the addition rear switch tapper.

Hori split pads is of great design and great quality. It has added back trigger buttons that can be programmed. However, it lacks a number of important features: 1. No vibration 2. No Gyro sensor 3. No bluetooth (own work when attached) Without these features, you cannot enjoy AAA titles like Zelda BOTW. Many games also has vibration, so when using Hori split pads, i miss the vibration features even if gyro sensor features are not that common with games.

I want to start this review off by saying this product is for handheld mode ONLY. Reviewers leaving negative comments didn't read the description of the item, nor did they read the box the item came in. Excellent product. Excellent price. Definitely increases the comfort of handheld mode which is perfect when I want to watch football and game at the same time. The controller has a matte type finish which is good for those with sweaty hands or long game sessions. Grip remains fantastic and hands stay comfortable.

As you may know, the button layout on the Switch handheld is a little rough, especially if you have larger hands. After doing a bunch of research I saw that these were highly recommended. They are unbelievable. The grips are thicker and the buttons are more like a pro controller, especially on the left side where the D-Pad is flared out to the right more. My one big gripe is there is no motion control. I just realized it the other day when I played Zelda BOTW and one of the shrine puzzles used motion, and it wouldn't budge.

These are a good pair of joy-cons- I like how they make the handheld more comfortable and allow easier access to most buttons. My reason for only 4 stars would be that they feel a bit cheap in hand and lack a lot of features that I think should be included for $50. Wireless, rumble, be able to turn on the switch with the home button, are the ones I wish they had.
