I am about 30 hrs into the game, story seems interesting so far. But where the game really shines is in combat with the machines. These diverse creatures span the entire map and can be quite a challenge. Excitement is aplenty especially when your fight against a single machine attracts other nearby enemies. When not in combat the environment takes center stage. The vibrant greens and reds everywhere keep you exploring wanting to see more. I would even venture on to say it's one of the best looking games on any gaming platform. Suffice it to say Buy the game, you wont regret it.

but i bought it for my kids and they played it for hours non-stop after unboxing. Both my brother and I are not console gamers so he bought an after market keyboard and mouse but the controls were too wonky to enjoy. But the game is great i hear. :)

Gorilla Games made a masterpiece. This game is fun to play, has a decent story, good controls, top of the line graphics and sound, and an interesting environment. Visually, it is amazing! I haven't completed it yet, as it came out when Zelda came out and while this game is one of the best, I really enjoyed Zelda. I can't wait to get back into the game and finish it before the DLC comes out. I also hope to get a 4K TV soon to get the full effect on my PS4 Pro, which is one of the main reasons I am holding off finishing the game. This is a must game if you have a PS4 Pro.

One of the best games I've played over the past couple of years. A great, engaging storyline, solid gameplay and plenty of stuff to keep you busy. I'm about 45 hours in and about 60% of the way through the game. Can't wait to see how it all ends.

If you've ever played Skyrim, and you remember how the game and the scenery sold you on the game within the first hour? This game will give you that experience tenfold! Great graphics great gameplay great voice actors great story. Well worth it!

This game is beautiful! I haven't played it all the way through yet, but the story is captivating, and the game play is fluid. I haven't purchased the DLC for this game, but if I will if it keeps me engaged the whole way through, so far, so good.

I have never used that describe a video game, but it’s true. If you own a PS4 Pro, and a TV with HDR, you are doing yourself a disservice if you have not played this game. Story, check, awesome characters, check, wide range of unique weapons and upgrades, check, check, mechanical dinosaurs? OMG check! Sound, visuals, music are epic. I waited until the game dropped in price, but as soon as I was done, I picked up the DLC immediately. When they get around to releasing a continuation of this game, it’s going to be a day one purchase for me!

This game is excellent. It far exceeded my expectations. I'm not very far into the game as of this writing, but I know I'm going to complete it and enjoy every second. If you've played Uncharted or more so Tomb Raider 2013 or Rise of the Tomb Raider, it'll feel very similar, but that's a good thing! It takes that formula and improves it by a lot and also adds close-up combat as well as adds a more open-world quest design. The story and setting are really great (thus far) and the characters are fun to get to know (thus far). I'd definitely recommend this game!

On ps4 pro this is a showpiece. And the reason why I don't need an x over my original xbox one. Anyway amazing looking game in 4k basically Sony's Zelda. So much to do almost 100 hour game. Great story line too that flips your expectations.

I'll get right to it, this game is phenomenal! Wonderful progression, combat, and mechanics make for a perfect blend of accessible yet challenging, fun yet brutal, and rewards you for thinking outside the box. The way you conquer the game challenges you with are entirely up to you. Beautiful graphics and sound combined with an intriguing story, voiced by incredibly talented voice actors, wrap up what has to be one of Sony's best console exclusives in years. No doubt, this title will be plastered all over major gaming sites' Game of the Year awards. Masterpiece.

I'm a fan of well-built games with cutting edge graphics, solid story lines, and intriguing game play. I was really excited to see this game come out and it did not disappoint. I started to get a little bit bored when I began focusing one the myriad of side missions and tasks, but the main story line is fun and interesting to pursue. The concept of the plot is somewhat novel for the post-apocalyptic genre, which I appreciate. I highly recommend this game for people who like open worlds but don't want to sacrifice the depth of experience in terms of storyline.

Horizon Zero Dawn is a great game. Graphics are clean, AI can be a little tough at times, but that helps you learn the controls really fast. My only complaint is that the cut scenes are more than the gameplay at times. Overall great game.

This game came out of nowhere from a developer that hasn't touched this kind of genre before and it exceeds expectations. Great graphics, audio, gameplay and story. If you have a ps4, especially a pro, you need to have horizon zero dawn.

What an excellent game. The story and scenery and wonderful. The combat is challenging but not overwhelming. You wont regret buying this game. I hope they expand this story in future games because I would love to see more of this world.

I had few expectations, going in, and if I hadn't have been able to get it for $30 (Best Buy games rewards and some gift certificates), I probably would have balked at buying a game I knew so little about, as there are many games I know I want otherwise. However, I had the opportunity, and RE7 was out of stock (my first choice). It looked pretty, and sounded intriguing, so I thought, why not give it a shot. Visuals: The scenery in the game is beautiful, the variety, the detail, the animals and machines living in it. Fantastic. Story: So good, I couldn't stop delving into ruins and searching for anyone who could tell me more of the story. It's well thought out, and I loved the way they provided some of the details through individual viewpoints, through messages, letters and visuals all with personal touches, with personality. The story is not unique in the overall idea, post apocalyptic and the reason why, necessarily, but very unique in mode of action, as well as the resolution. I absolutely want more. Characters While struggling a little in the way of character development, not surprising considering the size of the cast of characters, there are very strong characters with apparent personalities. Many strong female characters, and a strong leading woman who isn't overly sexualized. I really appreciated that. As well as characters with very distinct ideologies. Evil, good, neutral, sociopath, self-interested, selfless, all represented very well amongst the cast. Gameplay: Excellent, I liked all of the various methods of action available. You could be careful, sneaking and lay traps, or aggressive, charge in and tear things apart. Also, it was good to have a game where sneaking was possible, but you were never forced to successfully sneak or face abject failure. I enjoyed playing a mixed style. I really loved the unique nature of the weapon options, bows, and slings and traps as your primary arsenal, as well as the occasional chance to get your hands on some truly destructive modern weapons. Overall: This game blew me away, I put 60 hours into my first run through, and I am very close to having everything, just a few records to collect and one more trophy to earn (besides the trophy for having all the other trophies). I will most certainly play through again and vary my strategies and see how things go. I would gladly have paid full price for it.

One of the better games I have played. Had to dust of the ps4 for this one but we'll worth it. Plays like a tomb raider with robot Dinosaurs and an rpg style of play. Controls are smooth and the environments are absolutely splendid.

This game, along with the Uncharted series and Last of Us Remastered, are instant classic Playstation Exclusives. If you have a PS4 you owe it to yourself to buy this game. Open world, customizable weapons, beautiful visuals. 10/10

I am so addicted to this game! So many missions and side quests, you'll keep playing for hours! Bought it perfectly in time for holidays. Amazing graphics and great storyline. Totally worth the price! Wish they had it on Xbox One!

I'm loving this game! I'm only a few hours into it but the story is solid so far, the graphics are stunning. I love adventure games and this is becoming one of my favorites!

Horizon: Zero Dawn is an amazing game. This game flew under the radar because at the time, it came out the same week as Zelda BOTW, so it didn't get the recognition it deserves. This is an open world game and you can travel pretty much all over. You can customize your weapons and armor, so you can defeat the machines pretty easily. It's got a great story and the graphics look amazing on the PS4. It is a must have for any PS4 owners.
