I've been enjoying Horizon Zero Dawn very much. The graphics are beautiful and the controls responsive. The characters are interesting and the story is very intriguing. The menu system can get a bit cumbersome and complex, and the learning curve can be steep in parts. I'm about 1/3 through the game now, and making progress and improving combat skills is very rewarding.

The graphics in this game from the intro to actual gameplay is amazing and up to part of what we expect from this gen of game consoles. I have not beaten the game but the overall controls, dialogues, and plot seems good. Like most games, there are some minor glitches but so far to a minimum. Some tasks are cliches but overall a good open world game. The human antagonists are a little repetitive as far as strategy but the machines are a challenge at times and heard the final boss can be a challenge. So, a game for open world fans of sci/fantasy that has touches of Mass effects and Far Cry Primeval. How much you think this game is worth paying for will depend on you but it is worth those looking for an overall good sci fi/fantasy action rpg.

This has to win game of the year. It is so great mechanics, graphics, story, fantastic. I replayed it twice and can’t wait for the dlc in November.

If you enjoyed the witcher you will like this. While maybe not as in depth it presents a large living world with unique robots and characters. The story introduces a mystery that is pretty interesting and plenty of side quests. The graphics are great and in about 30 hours of gameplay I haven't encountered a bug. The gameplay is very polished and truly a AAA title. Buy it!

Horizon Zero Dawn is what open world games were meant to be. Engaging gameplay and a deep story kept me coming back for more. Highly recommend.

Excellent game. Good story that draws you in to search deeper for answers with an excellet scenery. Very smooth gameplay even on a regular ps4.

One of the best games by far this year. Great graphic, great story, and plenty off stuff to do. Can't wait to jump into the dlc later this year!

This game has definitely lived up to the hype so far. First off, it looks simply amazing. Especially playing on a PS4 Pro and a 4K HDR TV. And most importantly, the gameplay is so smooth; the combat, the mysterious world. Every time I get around to playing hours will pass by without notice. I'm pretty sure this franchise will be Guerilla Games' primary focus moving forward.

Gorgeous visuals, awesome gameplay, and a surprisingly great story. You can shoot robot dinosaurs with a high-tech bow, what more do you want?

What is not to like about this wonderfully made game!?! The story and gameplay are flawless. And using a bow to attack is GENIUS! A must have.

This is an AMAZING Action RPG, one of my favorite... ever? The control is perfect. The graphics are unparalleled. The creatures are all amazing looking and fun to fight. I play with a stealth focus, but non-stealth combat is a ton of fun, too. The combat can be challenging, but once you start to fight more tactically you'll get the upper hand. So good, so easy to recommend.

Horizon Zero Dawn is a post apocalypse game that went a different direction than most post apocalypse games. Instead of going the zombie or nuclear war route the game went for the machines became too advanced and took over route similar to Terminator or the Matrix. As Aloy its up to you to find out why the old ones as their called are gone and why the machines are in control all the while battling machines that have taken on the appearance of various animals, fighting bandits, and fighting a group of fanatics that unearth highly militarized machines from the time of the old ones that were responsible for bringing humanity to the brink of extinction. The world of Horizon Zero Dawn is a joy to traverse with a variety of biomes from forests, jungles, deserts, and snow covered valleys. The voice acting is great and the character models look great as well. The combat is fun and sometimes frantic when taking on a pack of machines and you have a variety of weapons that often have multiple ammo types to help you tackle all the challenges the game throws at you. The story is compelling and made me want to play and find out more, there's definitely more story possibilities to explore by the end of the game in a possible DLC or sequel and I personally hope more games or DLC for Horizon come out sooner rather than later.

This game is one of the best I have ever played. It's original and expansive and there is so much to do and see. A must own for every gamer.

So I followed this game since it's debut at E3, and was confident I would pick it up, and I have not regretted the purchase one bit! As most reviews have stated elsewhere, the game is beautiful, and the story is written well enough to care and feel invested in Aloy as a protagonist. But it is more than just the aesthetics and story that keep me thrilled with this game, it is the gameplay. The gameplay, particularly the ability to choose how you want to engage with enemies is the most thrilling part of the game. You can go complete stealth for most encounters; laying traps, sniping, or luring enemies for stealth kills; or you can attempt to go Rambo and rampage through (not highly recommended). Also although it can be fatal, one of the best aspects of the game is when you're focused on one enemy, think you have it easily, then get blindsided by another machine because you took your eye off the screen indicators; deadly but enthralling all the same. There are of course a few nitpicks, like the inability to block when the enemy can, some of the generic character models, but those aren't enough to deter me from enjoying the game immensely. Love this game, and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a game that balances the crafting, leveling, RPG elements; with the action game elements nicely.

Graphics of this game is top notch and the story line is a master-piece. It'd be insane not to recommend anyone that has a playstation 4!

Sit on the edge of the cliff and watch the sun rise and set. Watch the inhabitants of the world roam and real-time random AI events happen. That is what Horizon does better than most other games. They hit the right notes on all that you expect from video games so don’t worry about whether this is fun to play or has a great story. It does. What this game does differently or better than other video games is why you must buy this. Once in a generation type game that every Playstation owner has to have in their collection.
