ROBOT DINOSAURS 'nuff said. The prettiest game on the PS4, hard to believe its an open world game. Not much loading unless you are fast travelling. The combat just feels right, wish there was more climbing for some strange reason. Anyway buy it so we can get a bigger, better sequel. Which is pretty much guaranteed , i hope, already.

This is one of the best looking games I’ve played on any console! Gameplay and story are also excellent. Get this game!

This game has guts. Visuals: this game shows what the PS4..Definitly the PS4 Pro can really do..the atmosphere and graphics are breathtaking to sum this game up in one word. That could do it justice can only be described as AMAZING , The STORY though I have not finish is yet has heart.. you feel a since of investment in the characters also compelling enough to keep me coming back for more.. controls are run of the mill and if you haven't played any third person adv. game before..its very easy to get use to them .I already cannot wait for the next addition to this franchise. this is definitely a must for your library... tell SHADOWSNAKE SENT YAH HAPPY GAME

This is one of the best ps4 games out there. The graphics are awesome and so is the story line. Highly recommende it !

This game looks amazing. I have not completed it yet but love how it looks and plays. The story so far has been great.

Horizon as a game doesn't do anything new in a video game, but it combines the elements of good games and does them even better. The open world in horizon doesn't get boring. Before you have a chance to get bored of the environment, they change enough of it to make it feel fresh again. The enemies you fight aren't numerous or have significant variation but each have their own style and as you fight more of them, you remember how they behave and better ways to take them down. The weapon system is a simple or complex as you want it to be. If you want to stick to arrows, you can. But the game gets more enjoyable using the different weapons to inflict effects or set traps and lure monsters. The gameplay itself doesn't have anything good or bad that can be focused on but that's a good thing. The gameplay itself never hinders the game and it doesn't stand out to make everything else seem less important. It's smooth, easy, and you have control to do what you want without feeling that the gameplay is a major component even though it is. This is why I spent 50 hours playing and didn't feel like I was forcing myself to keep playing.

The open world concept that was created for this game is great. The story takes place in a far future where machines roam the earth and humans live in tribes. The game is very addictive and more challenging than I expected. There a are tons of side missions that keep you engaged. I highly recommend this game to any gamer.

If you enjoyed the latest Zelda game, you're going to absolutely love this. Not only does it appeal to those who have played the LOTR games, but those who also love Hunt-and-Fetch style quests. The character you play also "grows up" much like the gameplay in the Fable games and the scenery is amazing. You will also love how your character needs to sneak around in some parts like Solid Snake or Batman in the Arkham games. Definitely a must-buy and a break from Elderscrolls!

Good story line and amazing graphics. Be prepared to spend some time away from normal life, this game is indulging.

I thought this was a fantastic and eye-opening game with one of the best open world experiences in recent memory. First of all, it had a fantastic and unique setting, blending both a primitive, hunting world-view with a sci-fi aesthetic as well. In that it reminds me a bit of Far Cry Primal with a bit of Mass Effect. As a result, the combat, the bulk of the game-play was more interesting than usual because you're using primitive hunting weapons, like spears, bows and traps, to hunt machine animals that can be very powerful and can often one-shot or two-shot kill you. The graphics and visual look of this game is honestly I feel, the best I've ever seen on consoles. The Order: 1886 is the only other game that compares but that was a very linear game, while this was a seamless open-world game which is much more impressive in my opinion. Lastly, this also had a very compelling story. Like most open-world games that's not really the focus of what you're going to be doing, but it was surprisingly very interesting and poignant. This is a very impressive game, and one of the clear best of the year thus far.

This is a must have for ps4 owners. The story is engaging, gameplay is really fun and the graphics are too notch.

Guerilla is not EA. they're not blizzard. they're a small European game company. responsible for making the killzone games, and now this beautiful game. The story is post-apocalyptic. animal-like machines populate the world. that's pretty much all you get at the beginning. the story is one of the best things about the game so that's all i will say on it. The gameplay is fluid, never overly punishing, but a level of challenging that remains fun, even if you die a few times. YOu hunt machines, use materials you gather from machine kills/plants to craft ammo, potions, etc. everything except armor, weapons, and weapon upgrades can be crafted. There are so many secret/hidden areas that you will spend many hours searching for because finding them feels rewarding. Even without the loot you get from them, finding a cache, or any other hidden objective feels like an accomplishment. Not because they're overly hidden, but because you figured out what to look for, or you made it through an obstacle course to the top. I highly recommend this game for fans of the Witcher 3, or any other open world game.

I bought this game more on a whim than anything else. But once I started, I wasn't able to put it down for hours.

When you think about a game all day at work or when you lay down to go to sleep it makes me compelled to write something in the review thread about it. I've never wrote a review about a game until now, yet I base my purchases largely off of the Amazon reviews/comments, etc. I want to start of saying how I am also a very narrow minded gamer, I admit it. What I mean is that when I get too overwhelmed or frustrated, I bail. I like linear games that I can finish in my lifetime so I can feel that I accomplished something. I enjoy immersing myself in an endless world where I can do anything and go anywhere but I get overwhelmed at the complexity and detail involved with potion mixing/mods/crafting, etc. Not knocking those that enjoy is, it's just not me. Then along came this game. I have been consumed. All I can say is that if you are a true gamer, you know the answer is obvious, but if you are a gamer that is like me, part-timer, hard to impress, gives up when overwhelmed or over challenged.....BUY THIS GAME and you won't regret it. It is challenging and overwhelming in all the right ways

Exciting open-world action. AAA value and a bargain price. Engaging story, unique concept, and just fun to play.

Horizon Zero Dawn is a must have for anyone with a PS4 in my opinion. The graphics, gameplay and story are awesome. The story at the start of the game is a little tough to follow as your character is an outcast compared to other "tribe" people. Also, the setting is set in the future where you avoid being hunted by machine like animals yet you are armed with a bow or spear. The story starts to unfold a bit a few hours in and then you embark on a rather expansive journey that takes your character through many memorable experiences. The graphics are superb for the console and the gameplay is both fast and yet also adds the ability to be stealthy at times to avoid being pinned by large hordes of machines. I was able to pickup this game when it was $29 plus had the 20% off for being a gamers club unlocked member. Well worth the pickup!!

Outstanding graphics, story, and gameplay. You will keep coming back for more. Should've been game of the year.

Graphics are amazing, and so is the story. It’s such an original and fun concept, definitely worth the purchase.
