Fantastic new franchise from Guerrilla and Sony. Has some of the best graphics on the PS4 currently. Game mechanics are great. The shooting mechanism with the bow was done very well. Stealth mechanics are great. You can do most encounters different ways. Sneak around and kill mobs one by one, hack enemies so they would fight each other, or plain old shoot everyone up. Aloy is a great new protagonist. She actually has a funny attitude. Story is great. Definitely a bit different from the scifi norm. I beat the game after 60 hours and I have not completed all the side missions and hunter trials.

From the makers of the Killzone franchise, this is a HUGE departure for the company. They hit this 3rd person, open world game out of the park! It reminds me a bit of "Enslaved: Odyssey to the West". Horizon Zero Dawn has a deep combat system, engaging story and is far deeper than you may expect (without giving away any spoilers). The crafting system becomes second nature once you get the hang of it. My only gripe is the Special Armor that is attainable later in the game that can make the final levels a cakewalk. Obtaining that armor is completely optional however. The is my favorite game of the year!

The game is gorgeous, although it does run at 30 FPS. The combat is smooth and satisfying to play. The story was well done and Aloy is a likable protagonist.

Horizon Zero Dawn stands as yet another example that re-fortifies the self-imposed construct that PlayStation exclusives make PlayStation the greatest place to play. Paired along with incredible controls, combat tactics, and an incredibly tactile enemy, Horizon Zero Dawn delivers in its vision to deliver a sprawling open world where the player is able to engage in his or her surroundings in any way they see fit. Developed by Guerrilla Games as the first real next generation game, believe me when I say you can't go wrong with everything that this game has to offer. You won't be disappointed.

THIS GAME IS AMAZING. So, the story is very interesting. I'd say more but I don't want to ruin it. The game mechanics are well thought through, easy to understand, and run seamlessly. Everyone says the dialogue isn't the best, but I don't think that it's supposed to focus on the dialogue. The focus on the game is the aesthetics, the concept, and the gameplay as a whole. Another thing I appreciate about this is that the protagonist is a girl, which, as a girl is a breath of fresh air from being forced to play as a boy. I would recommend this to everyone interested in a new concept for a game.

I originally borrowed the game from my friend, but I had wanted to own it for myself, since it was so good. Luckily I got it on sale, but it was definitely worth the $60 price tag when it was released. This game is immersive and rewarding, and the story is so engaging that, as a scientist, it really made me think about robotics, biology, and AI in a way I never did before. I've played quite a few games since, but this one has always stayed in the back of my mind, so much so that I am planning on replaying it. Gorgeous scenery and easy to learn controls as well.

The story alone is worth a play through. Then throw in the best visuals this gen yet and amazing combat. Every PS4 owner must own and play this game. So amazing.

While I haven't completely finished the game, it is very beautiful and has amazing graphics. The story is very interesting and the look of the dialog scenes or interactions between the main character with other looks very photorealistic with great motion capture effects. The gameplay itself is fairly enjoyable with a open world and crafting system that while isn't unique is still enjoyable. Can't wait to finish this game and definitely recommend to anyone with a PS4 to try playing it to see if they enjoy it as well. This is one console exclusive title that makes having a PS4 worth it.

This really was such a great game. I didn't let myself get hyped up for it because I didn't want to be disappointed, but with this unique blend of primitive and future genres, led by a fascinating story, it is hard not to be drawn in by the experience.

This game is a breath of fresh air, a stunning game with a lush open world. I seriously love it. Combat is great, design is great, story is great, brilliant.

I love a good single player game and this one really hits the spot. Great customization and RPG elements with an elaborate world to explore. Highly recommend this one too any ps4 owner as it makes great use of the ps4 pro technology if you have the pro.

You can lose yourself in the world of Horizon Zero Dawn. I've spent days in-game just hunting and tracking machines and animals. Exploring the world feels so natural that I spend hours just looking around. Combat is intuitive, you can be an in your face fighter or a sneaky trapster luring your prey to traps you've prepared earlier. Not to mention your bows that can do all sorts of neat things. Story is also one of the best in regards to pacing, if you go through just the main quests, it never feels slow and you are actually looking forward to what's going to happen next.

I'm only a few hours in and this game is visually stunning and has a fascinating premise. I love that I can take down a huge, monstrous machine with a bow and arrow. Can't wait to log more hours!

Horizon surprised me, I was truly expecting a third person Far Cry clone that had no personality of it's own; that coasted only on it's beautiful graphics and developer pedigree. Instead what I found was a great game that took aspects from various titles and merged them together into one incredible package. This game is worth your time and money. An open world to explore, dangerous creatures to tame, and an amazing sense of scale and wonder. Purchase this game at once.

A nice change of pace game, great story line. Has some familiar qualities of Far Cry 3 (hunting, crafting, unlocking map, etc.). Picked it up on sale and have by far gotten my money's worth out of it. Don't know about the DLC but look forward to it.

The game it self is just a master peace.. Stunning graphics... Awesome gameplay and a chasing story mode that is open world.

Another Sony Exclusive that hits the mark. If you are in to open world, combat, exploration, jaw dropping beautiful games then this is the game for you.

This game is easily worth a try. Top notch story, graphics, controls, length of game play. There's honestly nothing bad I can say about the game.

This is easily one of the contenders for GAME OF THE YEAR! I don't Have a PS4 PRO and I don't see how much better it can get!!! You will not be unhappy with this purchase. I usually research my games well before I buy. This is easily a 5 star!!!!

This game slipped under my radar until I got a great review from my brother. Deep story filled with interesting diversions and background fluff stories scattered throughout the landscape. The game mechanics are amazing (save for how badly I am at in-game archery compared to the the trailers and videos I see elsewhere) and the visual translations make it really engaging; stumbles, horseback interactions. random interactions with the world and/or obstacles. Aloy's responses to lecherous and creepy NPC's are also hilarious at times; she's a super strong character. 5/5
