Believe it, because there´s a robotic cyber tiger tony to confirm this. Open world, Apocaliptic, but not a Madmax total wasteland kinda thing. Lush, beautifully crafted environments, tons of robofun.

The world of Horizon Zero Dawn is great and the story line is well written. The game play has been nothing but awesome!

In a world where anything under an M-rating is written off as childish and lame, I'm always very glad to find a quality game that rejects that idea and settles for a T-rating rather than tossing in a bunch of vulgarity and sensuality just to tip into the higher rating and appease that desensitized crowd. That said, Horizon is one of those games. It could have easily fallen into Hollywood's idea of what's "cool" now -- immature language, rampant inappropriate scenes, and other offensive material -- but it doesn't. It's definitely a dark game (a lot of death. a LOT.) and isn't for smaller kids (some language, blood, and other insinuations), but as an adult who's very picky about what she allows into her home, I was very glad to find that the material in this game is very tame for my tastes. The plot doesn't suffer from it, either. Quite the contrary. I haven't finished it yet (keep getting distracted by sidequests), but the story is one mystery after another and an engaging experience that quickly has you attached to the protagonist and either loving or hating everyone she meets. The stellar voice cast does an amazing job as well. The gameplay is nothing terribly original, but it doesn't get stale quickly, either. There's a lot of customization involved that spills over into both your fighting style and general gameplay. Want to handle this mission with stealth? Buy an outfit that decreases your visibility. Prefer to just go in and slaughter everyone? Craft a lot of ammo and put on some armor. Unlike some games, this customization system isn't overwhelming and has a small learning curve. As I said, I haven't finished the game yet, but I can tell it's going to last me a while. The game's world is ENORMOUS, with tons of side missions and objectives to keep you busy outside of the main quest. I highly recommend giving this a try if you're into open-world games.

Definitely worth the time and money you invest in this game. It's sort of a mashup of the new Tomb Raider Games, Far Cry, and a dash of The Witcher 3. You explore an open world with various environments; fight enemies with bows, traps, and bombs; and forage/scavenge for resources to make ammo and craft capacity upgrades. I know all of those things have been done before, but Horizon does them very well. The story is also pretty good (so far, anyway). I heartily recommend it.

I've been gaming since pong and this is my absolute favorite game. Halo was a game changer for me when I played the first version but this one is in a league of it's own. It's open world is unmatched. It's creativity with weapons - you don't get to blast stuff to death, it's all about finesse. Haven't bought the expansion yet but plan to. I can't wait until the come out with a sequel. I will never trade this game in as long as I have my PS4.

Man, i HAD to pick this one up after all the glowing reviews and i must say, it looks great next to all my other unopened games I can't find the time to play this holiday season! Can't wait though!

I cannot put this game down. From graphics to story to combat thi is by far one of the best games I have ever played.

This game is breath taking. The size of the map and the fact that you have to hunt robo dinos are crazy fun. The story telling is A+ and you can tell the devs put a lot of time in the story boards.

Basically, combining Jurassic Park with Tomb Raider and sprinkling in the gameplay of Witcher 3...this game is a blast! Gorgeous graphics and intense gameplay- plus? MECHANICAL DINOSAURS. So cool.

After the many excellent reviews i have seen for this game, coupled with high praises of the game from good friends of mine, I finally caved in and made the purchase. This game does have a small learning curve as early in the game it is easy to get over run, but I have thoroughly enjoyed the game, the story and even just the sheer beauty of the game. I have not completed the story but I could see with all of the many side quests that this could become a nice time sink.

I've had my eye on this game since it was first revealed and I'm thrilled to say that Guerilla Games has delivered a fine game that exceeded my expectations. This is Guerilla's best game to date and quite possibly the best exclusive on PS4 right now. The story, characters, and world, and gameplay are wonderfully realized and the graphics are simply stunning, especially on PS4 Pro. If you think this game might even be slightly up your alley then I definitely recommend it!

I kept hearing a lot of positive things about this game and boy does it live up to the hype! I love open world type games, so the freedom to climb, dodge, and explore allowed me to just dive into this game. Is it groundbreaking and unlike anything ever played before? No. But it does have some of the best elements from a lot of favorite games and amazing graphics and an interesting story on top of it all. I'm about 8 hours into this game and I am absolutely hooked!

Games like these make the ps4 a true gamers console purchase very easy. Nobody saw this game coming and it's hot and could possibly be game of the year but it'll be hard to beat zelda and Mario

It seems like when a developer moves from the one genre exclusively, to another, it usually does not make for a good game. However, I would say Guerrilla did a great job making an RPG. The world is fascinating, the characters are interesting and fairly well written (though the interactions are occasionally awkward and bizarre, hard to tell if this is intentional or not). The gameplay is fun and compelling, it does a good job of keeping you engaged. Well worth a play.

This is a great game! I love the style of play. There are equal amounts of action and enough drama to tug at the heart strings. Aloy is a breathe of fresh air since Lara Croft. BUY THIS GAME!!

Horizon: Zero Dawn takes the best parts of well-known action RPGs, combines them with some adventure and sets a strong heroine at the center of its world. One of the best reasons to own a PS4.

This game doesn't do much to push the open world genre forward. What it does do is provide compelling gameplay with a good story in a unique setting. Visually the game is stunning, specifically with a PS4 pro and 4k TV. The story is entertaining throughout the game with plenty of things to do in between story missions. If you like open world games and bow and arrow combat this game is a must grab. Your PS4 isnt living up to its potential if you dont play this game.
