I've had to bring ours in twice to be replaced after only a few hours of being used. Very disappointed in "quality" of this item.

It breaks in 1 month, inside under electronic board break plastic, can not fix it, plastic is not good.

The Hover-1 Blast is a two wheeled self-balancing scooter or hoverboard as this category of devices has become known. With a max weight rating of 160lbs, this is geared towards the children in your life. Over a long weekend, I got to see my nephew try it out so you'll be getting both my reflections as well as his. I unboxed it at home and the first thing I noticed was the sleek looks and size. Definitely more kid sized, the width and weight makes it pretty obvious it's designed for a smaller person. It's incredibly light which gave me some concern - just how long will the battery last? Its got front "headlights" though really those are only useful in the dark and LED lights on the wheels. I've since had a change of heart regarding the usefulness of LED lights on hoverboards and other devices. Last year, I found them annoying. Now, I think they are incredibly useful, especially to make you visible to others in the evening or night. While I doubt most parents will let their kids rid this at night, having that additional visibility for someone older is good. The unit arrived mostly charged so there was little for me to do to get it ready. One thing to note, the Hover-1 series of boards, while they mostly work like any other gyroscopically stabilized board, there is a slight difference. These use sensors under the foot board to detect how you want to move and as such, part of learning involves ensuring your feet stay over the sensors. If someone has learned on something else, they may need to be reminded of this a few times as some one-footed tricks are essentially not possible on this board. My nephew has some experience with hoverboards and was able to get going after about 15 minutes inside practicing. The normal speed is such that you can keep up with a brisk walk most of the time. Going over speed bumps on a residential street was actually pretty good. Here, the pnuematic tires plus small size actually helped the device versus being a hinderance. Acceleration initially is fast then tapers to a gradual pull to top speed so the most jerkiness is in him trying to get going really fast from a stop. It did ok "off-road" (and by that I mean on relatively firm grass in the backyard) but struggled a lot more climbing a small incline in grass than it did a similar one on pavement. He found the lights fun and this is probably the wheel where BT speakers make even more sense. It has grippy footpads which are nice versus the plastic shell of the board. They're probably good to keep grip if your shoes are wet but as the hoverboard isn't rated to be waterproof in any way, they're not really needed. Still, a nice touch. The box gives a range of 3 miles. Initially upon opening it up, I was concerned about the range. But I think that's more of an issue for me who actually commutes on his electric personal mobility device. For a 9yo, this is more a fun toy than something needing to cover a set distance and being able to ride around our street for about an hour before it was time to charge was fun. In all, it looks like a fun wheel. I'd ignore the commute language and focus on this being a fun hoverboard for play.

I bought three of them - all three were broken within the first month. I found them cheaply made.

Couldn't get the hoover to balance correctly.. Malfunctioned

It broke the first day they used it! Child only weighs 40lbs

Don’t buy it is garbage and not worth any money just don’t 

I bought this for my kid's Christmas gift. 1/13 my kids rided on it and suddenly fell off. It kept beeping.
