Pieces fell off and rickety
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So overall the scooter was fast it was heavy but not made very well. Bought this in December and returned it within a month I discovered after probably 10 rides that the pieces were falling off and it had a constant rickety noises that where never able to be reaolved and I bought two of these one for me and one for my son. Both scooters have the same issues. For that amount of money I would expect that my scooter would not be making such noises and I would anticipate that it would hold up to general rides.

It’s a fun ride-Probably good for a short commute
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a sleek little scooter. Matte black with blue accents and matching black moldings/accessories. I was pretty impressed while unboxing it and even more so when finally taking it out for a ride. In the box you got your typical manual, an air pump, charger, battery, allen wrench/screws/keys, and scooter. Once out, the only real assembly required is attaching the handlebars to the steering column and securing them to the scooter. The provided allen wrench was a hassle to work with however. Grab some real tools to fix that on. After charging for a few hours riding the scooter is surprisingly comfortable for a full size adult, 5’9” 200lbs in this case. The standing platform is sufficiently wide enough and the handlebars sit in a good position. There’s only 2 things I’d like to point out that bother me or gave me issues. The first, after taking out the unit and attempting to assemble the handlebars, I couldn’t help but notice that the cable that connects the handle bar with the base of the scooter appeared severed. There’s a jagged like plastic along the end which makes me think of electrical tape but has a rough edge that makes me believe it’s supposed to be connected. Slotting the plug into the other end works perfectly fine but gives me a sense that the materials that went into this might be of an inferior quality. The second, there is little to no instructions on maintenance, or the proper procedures to repair a flat or changing the disc or lights. I don’t anticipate any of this be hugely different from a typical bike, but the lack of it makes me correlate this with the sale of your typical smartphone or game console as they do not include such information regarding repair.

Needs a little more power and longer tube nozzles
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pretty hard to screw in the 4 screws with the Allan key provided. The pump provided is a joke i bent it . The only good thing is that the battery is removable and the tires . The ride is nice . I do wish for the price it would have more watts because even though it says max ride speed is 15 I'm getting about 11 on the LCD screen and i hope that accurate because it didn't feel like 11mph. I also wish it had holes where I can hook a strap to it in case I wanted to carry it on a train folded down. The part where you step on is not that wide so your other foot is horizontal . Also the front tube to fill in with air is so short i had to buy an extension to fill it in properly

Very Disappointed, Frustrated & Inconvenient
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought for our college son this weekend. We picked it up from store while he was home for spring break. We dropped him off yesterday and he tried to use it today and has had several issues. It will not accelerate at all going uphill. It will also not accelerate at various times while on flat ground. Battery is fully charged. Also, after only two rides, when he turns the handlebars straight the wheels point all the way to left. All of this after only riding to one class and less than 4 miles. Super frustrating because he is 2.5 hrs away and we have the box at home so returning will mean us driving to his campus and getting it to return it within 10 days. Super inconvenient to drive 260 miles round trip to take care of this. Yes, we did ride it at home before sending it back with him. We rode it for about 20 minutes testing it to make sure it was ok. We never would have sent it back with him if not. He doesn't have a car at college or way to get it to Best Buy and he doesn't have the box it came in. Noticed a few things different than what is shown. Deck was grip tape that was already peeled up in several spots and not rubberized deck like shown. Also noticed the tail light is different than picture. Figured those were not major concerns. Also saw several reviews that said the scooter came with a pump. Ours didn't have a pump and the tires only had about 10 psi in them so we had to buy a pump and google how much air to put in them because it isn't listed in the manual. Other reviews mentioned their Highlander Pro had a speaker..no speaker on ours. That didn't really matter to us just seemed odd.

Definitely a vehicle and not a toy!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The first point to be aware of with this scooter is that it is a VEHICLE, not a TOY. There are a lot of warnings to indicate this, just in case you have any confusion. The manual in the box is fairly long, and all but about 2 pages are warnings of what not to do with it. That being said, it is fun to ride. This was my first time using an electric scooter (though they always looked fun) and it only took about 10 minutes or so to really be comfortable on it. I just rode it around my parking lot for a while until I was confident enough to actually make a trip. This first trip was to a car repair shop, because my car wasn’t starting… The total trip was about 6 miles, and when I arrived there was still about 1/3 of the battery remaining, so I’d estimate I would be able to get about 9 miles based on how I was using it. I’m about 180 lbs. fully dressed, and I’d describe the terrain more as rolling than flat. I was also on the “regular” setting rather than the eco or sport. Assembly is fairly easy as all you have to do is connect the handle bars, though I will say that it took a fair amount of torque to get those screws to go in. Suffice to say, once you have the handlebars screwed into place, they aren’t coming out again. Otherwise, everything was all set up, and even the tires were adequately inflated. Usage is simple. You push off so that you are above 1 MPH, and then you can hit the accelerator with your right thumb (you cannot start the electric motor from a complete stop). If you are just going straight, a “cruise control” will come on after about 5 seconds or so. In the regular mode this keeps you going between 10 and 12 MPH. I imagine eco mode will be a little slower and sport mode a little faster, though I haven’t been able to test this out yet (constant rain/snow). To disengage the cruise control, you just squeeze the brake with your left hand until you feel it disengage. I highly recommend getting used to doing this before using the scooter in any crowded areas or near traffic, as it does take some getting used to. Overall, this is a really nice scooter for running quick errands, or as a “last mile” vehicle from public transit. It’s a bit heavy to really carry around, but works very nicely and I’m very glad that I had it when my car broke down.

Low quality parts, dangerous, snaps in half.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am disappointed with this on so many levels. Not only are the tires that come with this thing absolute junk, I was riding it to class today and it snapped clean in half. I am all scraped up and was late to my class. I mean it is split CLEAN IN HALF. It has been creaky for some time and super obnoxious. The welds look like they just gave up. Even with the creaking, nothing looked cracked to me as I inspected it regularly. Best Buy won't technically allow a return after 15 days, but it has been less than 30 days, and the product is extremely defective. So I will be calling them and having a conversation with the manager to see if they will return it. I am covered in scrapes and my wrist is all scraped open. Do. Not. Buy. This. Get something else. This brand is low quality and overpriced. Best Buy should remove it from their shelves because of how unsafe it is and use a different brand. This is just scary.

What a fun scooter!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is one very cool scooter and we couldn’t be happier with it!! The box is big and heavy, but this is a well built scooter. The scooter is packaged fully assembled, but folded in half. It took me a second to figure out how to secure the handlebar post, but it only took a second to figure it out and lock it in place. We made sure it was fully charged and let the fun begin! Our son has Aspergers and doesn’t ride bicycles but he sure made quick work of this scooter. The controls are simple to operate and he was zooming around in no time! Now we don’t have to drop him off everywhere! With the 18 mile range, He can go any number of places now!! 5 stars!

Tire'd of emergencies
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The front tire became an extreme story and situation for me personally...After trying multiple green and other tube sealants it would not stop leaking, I also tried tube patches which also didnt work. I couldn't ride it whatsoever and to sum it up the whole tire assembly has to be disassembled in order to replace the front tube...this scooter also takes a very long time to charge.... Smooth ride, nimble and calm qualities, Nice scooter for leisurely use but is impracticable for having mobility confidence.

Don’t waste your time or money
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought 2 of these for my kids. One right out of box would no go anywhere. When I checked the front tire it had a lot of resistance. The other one overheated within 5 min of riding. I tried to get ahold of support and that was a huge joke. I will never buy another one. I returned them right away.

If it breaks none can fix it
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Save yourself the trouble. Don't buy this brand. If you don't get the extended warranty there's no place where you can get it fixed and you have only 15 days to bring it back to Best Buy. Mine broke after 20 days and this was money thrown to the trash.
