Product was great. Best Buy experience WAS NOT The HP Chromebook is a great choice for the needs of my high schooler. Bought the Chromebook padded case to go along with it. Unfortunately this is the second exact product I had to buy in one month. My son shattered the screen on the first one. Best Buy would not honor the price guarantee.

I needed a laptop for college but i didn't have much to spend. After doing some research, a chomebook was exactly what i needed. The fact that its only running chrome as its operating system means that there's little to no hassle with having to worry about each individual application being updated so often since it automatically does it when it's restarted. Not to mention the lightning fast 10-15 seconds of boot time. With other laptops in this price range taking over 5 minutes to fully boot up, this is definitely a win for this Chromebook. Being chrome, it also gives off a clean and minimalistic interface that is both nice to look at, and easy to use. That said, Chrome OS is limited in the way that programs can't be installed in the way that windows or mac can, but it makes up for it by it's boot up times and simplicity. i mostly use the laptop for videos, web browsing and online college homework. I haven't had it feel slow in the 3 months that i have had it. It's also a huge plus that it was designed by HP. Giving it great quality and looks. The screen is definitely bright enough for any situation and there is little to no glare with its anti-glare screen. The SD card slot allows for memory expansion so storage space is not an issue. The build quality is great and the keyboard is great to use. Battery life is above average but it doesn't take long to get it up to a full charge. The screen size is not too small but definitely not too big, 14 inches is great for videos and web browsing. It's perfect for college classrooms and it's super portable. The speakers are clear and loud too. For the price, this laptop is definitely worth it! If you're planning to get a chromebook, it has to be this one.

Chromebook is an excellent value for the price. Chromebook is great for web surfing, e-mails and watching online videos such at Hulu and Netflix. Google operating system is an incredible improvement over MS Windows! I will not go back to PC with MS Windows!

bought for my father since he just needed basic functions - browsing and playing an online game. The game was not compatible with the chromebook (so check that type if thing) so returned it and bought a windows laptop. For the short period i had it, I did like it. I researched quite a bit and was very happy with price point.
