I love the chromebook for a secondary computer or for my daughters she 11 & 8. Its fast, has build in spyware, slim, pretty, convienient and east to use with that being said it is different from original laptops, it's best to learn their function keys so you can maneuvers quickly. It took me a while to get use to it bc im so use to Windows. Cons; does not have a recording camera but allows you to take picture Certain apps like instagram are not comparable with the pc so you can't down load it It's hard to find the pictures or anything you save at first The docs, powerpoint, spread sheets are not as good as microsoft word, powerpoint or excel This computer is great for taking to school, you can type your notes fast, surg the web to find answers while researching, type documents, watch clear videos, play games, and so forth. My daughter gets compliments on the computer Every time she brings it somewhere. Overall I recommend this computer to anyone in school no matter what the grade level. I recommend to anyone who travels alot and is just looking for a basic computer.

Initially I was somewhat indifferent about purchasing a Chromebook. I compared it to regular systems running windows 8 at almost twice the price! Since making this purchase I have found it to be quite efficient as I am able to play my favorite games, email from my google account, listen to music, and browse the internet and social media. Its VERY portable and light weight and fits nicely in my shoulder bag for easy transport. I paid $249.00 and a week later it went on sale for $219.00. I came back to the store with my receipt and they gave me the difference back to my card! Cant beat that price I LOVE it!

chrome books are a waste of time if you don't have internet

I love it. I bought it for college. I am taking all online courses and wanted something lightweight and functional. It is super easy to use, sleek and perfect for those that need it for simple tasks and internet use. 16GB is more than enough because everything is saved to the cloud. At first I was worried that not having Microsoft office would be problematic, but it isn't. I use Google docs, spreadsheets, and presentations. If you want to, you can go to the app store and download a web version of word but Google docs worked better for me. All in all, great price, super fast, battery life is out of this world and lasts me like 8 hours of use. I tried the Acer out in store but ultimately chose this.

No problems. It has great speakers, nice size screen and typing is good as well. The screen is average like most $200 laptops but i can watch netflix on here with no problems. My only issue is the same thing all chromebooks have, no offline apps. Everything is on the internet or just a shortcut to pull up online. But I'm able to do everything I need to. Great for college students,

I had to return this thing. It's does absolutely nothing besides surf the web and that's it. Don't buy it.

This was a cheap product. I would not recommend anyone buying this product.

It tore up in 2 weeks and I was not allowed to return !!!!

It does not allow downloading itunes. It's too slow.

This is my first chromebook and I am very impressed with it. The graphics are amazing and the keyboard is perfect. I had originally bought an Leonovo laptop but was unhappy with the “mushy” keyboard. I can definitely say that this keyboard on the HP is amazing! No complaints, very satisfied with my purchase.

I originally went in to purchase a laptop for school, but I liked the look of the Chromebook. The sales associate was very helpful in helping me make my decision. I have no regrets and I paid much less then what I would have spent on the laptop. I've had it for 2 years and I still love it. I also use it to watch Netflix and connect it to my TV.

Bought this for my 9 year old Because that is what they use in the media center in school. She absolutely loves it and the battery is great as well.

Bought a 2gb WIndow 10 laptop but returned next day. Window 10 needs 4gb just to load internet browser. Saw this HP chromebook and tried it in the store. It works much better. i have used it for a month now. I like the fact it has much longer battery life (8+hrs) than my Window 7 Sony (10 years old which I still use for work). It is not hot while on my lap which is good on a hot summer day. Just a note for people who must have Microsoft or other programs. This computer DOES NOT run ANYTHINGS else other than what GOOGLE gives you. The Chrome OS is ONLY a browser, not a FULL OS like WIndows or Linux or the Mac.

I bought the Chromebook thinking it would be nice to connect with my gmail but i quickly found out that it was not my favorite. Its a solid computer and I absolutely love hp I have always had computers by them. It may be a good solid inexpensive starter computer for someone.

My chrome's keyboard went out and I returned it to best buy one year to the date that I purchased it. Store agreed that it was covered but HP denied warranty claim. Even though store and (1-800- geek) agreed with me no one had the ability or would take the time to contact their factory warranty claims dept about the denial. Three hours spent on the phone for a run around from both HP and BEST BUY. Buyer beware factory warranty mean nothing and BEST BUY won't go to bat for the customer.

Seriously, I picked this computer out because I thought it would just be a basic computer for college. But it turned out to be that and much more! It's seriously amazing. I do homework, write my papers, jam to music, watch Netflix, Twitter, everything. It's amazing for the price too. I've never had my own laptop and this one was affordable and cool.

Love this chromebook. So easy to use and very light so it's nice to bring around on campus.

The chrome lasts for about one year..Then it will either stop charging or keys will go out..Had 2 already..otherwise good lightweight and no viruses. So if you are ok with buying a new one each year, it's ok
