Yes I know it is a chrome book. It still is an underwhelming experience.

I hate this computer and wish I had never purchased it. I'm unable to do many of the things I was able to do on my old ASUS computer. I'm not able to play games on Pogo, unable to download Windows or any other OS. Too late to return or trade it in. Very frustrated and unhappy.

I was super excited to buy this chrome book for my sons birthday. He uses chrome books in school so I thought this would be a great product for him. no games he liked were available. could only use for work. He was very dissappointed

Very limited in what you can do with this laptop. I do NOT recommend to buy at all. Glad we were able to exchange for an HP laptop which are great to use for college or personal use.

Ubless you are into all things Chrome, then this is sooo not for you! I didn't like the Chrome OS, nor the Chrome Store...very limited! I'm sorry....Gimme my Microsoft any day!

Caught my attention with the price but the overall quality of it sucks, the battery died within the first few hours and it gets hot quickly.

After a week of having this computer it started getting hot at the top of the screen. It's so hot it can cause burn injurys

I simply have 2 useless Chromebooks because the Geek squad refused to help me. I was a regular shopper but will NEVER return.

I'm not particularly tech savvy however I do own a Mac and PC and couple of tablets so I know little bit about using computers. I was always interested in Chromebook so I purchased this HP for under $200 on sale. There really isn't any set up to speak of. Just turn it on and sign up with your Google (Gmail) account and that's it. It's so easy to use and there really aren't any learning curves. I would say HP Chromebook is something like a super tablet. Not quite a tablet and not a PC. But I bought this for web browsing and checking on my mail. It's fast, it's easy and inexpensive.

It's pretty much a tablet. If you don't have Internet access you can't do anything.

i luved this chromebook so much. why oh why does google stop updating them after a while??? I would still be using this. its lightweight with a bigger screen, thin and portable, and the metal top makes it feel sturdy. it was a trooper! ill still use it - just not for banking. Does anyone know of one similar?

I was interested in getting a chromebook but couldn't bring myself to pay a $1000 for a laptop that was running Chrome OS, but this little laptop did the job and is perfect for what i was looking for and for the price. Its obviously fast since its running Chrome OS and has more than enough power for what i'm going to use it for and that is basically surfing the web and getting some work related task done here and there. As someone else has already said, the only problem with this laptop is that the screen is not glossy and has a matte finish to it, yes i was bummed out also when i unboxed this laptop and saw the screen but overall the screen still does look great just wish it was glossy. The laptop is very light and the design is nice and feels sturdy enough for the price you are paying (plus tax for me came out to be $245) all in all this would be a great laptop for someone that doesn't really want to use a tablet all the time and for a student or someone that just wants a nice little laptop to use to surf the web and pay a couple of bills online here and there. oh and one more thing, the keyboard on this thing feels great.

I purchased this laptop in a pinch, after my sky blue HP 14 died during my final exam period. I went in to see if it could be fixed (it couldn't), so I purchased this, the only available 14 inch screen Chromebook in-store. Thinking that the previous 14 I had worked great, and this would be the same, I was very disappointed to find that the highest functional resolution I could use on this laptop was 1366 x 768. As compared to my previous hp 14, which had a full HD 1920 x 1080 screen, I feel handicapped when trying to look at multiple documents at once. If you don't need to multitask, this is a great computer. But I purchased a 14 inch Chromebook specifically for the usability and accessible screen space. The disappointingly low resolution makes the large screen a moot feature. I'll be returning this laptop as soon as my replacement ships.

This laptop is lightweight and sturdy. I had to give it 3 stars simply because it couldn't work for me. All downloads are from the android app store. Some might be compatible some aren't.

Doesn't have a bloated windows 10 on it clogging up the works. If you cant afford a Mac you need this computer. Cheap but well worth it. DON'T BUY A COMPUTER WITH WINDOWS!

I previously used my spouse's laptop for all of my school work, and it was an HP as well but has Windows on it. Don't get me wrong, Windows is very nice also, but this Chromebook works much faster and is better for using the internet. I was afraid to buy it at first because some people make it sound like you can't really do anything on a Chromebook, but that is just not true. There are a lot of options and the speed is unmatched by any computer, tablet, or phone I have ever used. 5 stars, hands down!!!

so my husband and i went "window shopping" when we bought this. I went in there wanting to look at this item and the 11 inch samsung chromebook. We went with this one even though he does not like chromebooks and complained a lot. I got to play with it and check it out first and I love it! it is sleek, fast, and great for people who prefer google docs, not having to save a ton of documents on their laptop, and who like to have everything neat and organized for them! up until now I have only had windows computers and they have all died, and the battery lifes were horrible! We got home at 4pm last night. I charged it till 5:30. We both used it (he likes it now but wont admit it) and I'm using it now and the battery is still over 80% plus the price was great!!

Bought this laptop for school use, but also use it at home for surfing the internet. Laptop is good for doing everyday things but is not very fast. Materials feel very cheap and computer has a lot of flex, but i guess it is what it is considering the price. I purchased this laptop once, but took it home to notice the headphone jack was not functional. Exchanged it for another without any hassle. One problem I have with this computer in general is sometimes when i open it, the cursor does not show up, usually takes a couple of times shutting the computer down and turning it back on again to get it to come back. Overall this is a good computer if all you are looking to do is school work, good for the price.
