Although the laptop appears to be made of metal in the photo, it is all plastic. The track pad is not very smooth and the keys do not light up, but overall I would recommend for students.

It works well and gets the job done. My main issue is that the letters on the keyboard don’t light up. Makes it harder to study and get work done at night. A clip on lamp can fix this issue though. Overall it was worth the price.

Liking the new chromebook

I'm still getting used to not having a mouse, but getting more adept at it. My only complaint is that I wish the keys had darker lettering. They can be hard to read (not a touch typist.)

Hard to Read Gray Letters on a Gray Background

I only gave this latest purchase three stars because after purchase, I realized I can barely see the gray letters on the gray background. This is a design flaw that needs to be changed.
