Awesome easy to use and very affordable. Great for students

I bought this computer for my son’s 8th birthday. Not only is he going to need it for online school, but he is in to gaming and has started a YouTube channel with this laptop. He plays Minecraft and Roblox and then screen records to make his videos, there is sometimes a little lag, but he’s 8 and is happy to even have a laptop. ❤️

I was looking for a good and affordable laptop for my 11 yr old daughter to do her online schooling. She loves it and im very happy with how nice the quality is for the price i paid.

I am not really huge on using Laptops, but I needed this for school and bought one. I am extremely satisfied and happy with this purchase. The specs were enough for what I needed. Don’t get me wrong. It is “plasticky,” but I was more concerned about the internal specifications. Yet, while not the greatest, it allows for web browsing, media consumption (Netflix, etc), Zoom, Microsoft documents...simple things. I of course wanted something better, but better was also above any budget I had. I settled, but I am glad I did. I would like to buy another one, but they (BestBuy) brought the price up and it has been sold out for a while now. I also saw that BestBuy recently added another one that looks exactly the same with almost the exact same specs, but a higher price. Which I don’t see the point to. Seems a bit strange to me. The other one seems to even get lower ratings than this one. If you get a chance to compare this one and that other one, do it. Overall, I personally like this one. P.S I also bought the extended warranty because of my concern for falls and how “plasticky” it feels. I recommend that also.

We bought this computer for my Mother-in-Law for her birthday who lives out of state. Her old computer was ancient, didn't have video access or a microphone, therefore wasn't able to have Zoom calls with us children. This fantastic starter computer allowed my Mother-in-Law to interact with her children at a more than fair price!

I bought this computer due to the price of it being an open box item at Best Buy. I am completely happy with my purchase and the staff at Best Buy did a great job to ensure everything was still in the open box before it was shipped to me. This computer allows me to use my CAC card with the Army National Guard. Thanks Best Buy.

Bought this for my granddaughter for her homeschooling and it is perfect for her. It is a great price range for a 7th grader yet functions well enough for a college student. So far I believe this laptop will be functional for years to come. I have an HP that is going on 6 years and still works great. This is a great product.

Purchased for a senior (silver, not school), great for general use. It "just works" without worrying about settings and setup. Easy to open packaging was a bonus! Good feel in the keyboard and general construction. If you have a similar use case, keep this on your short list.

The PC for the price is excellent. Ideal for a travel computer, decent amount of memory and enough storage, speed. If you’re a game player steer clear but if you want something for internet browsing, word processing and streaming tv in your hotel room it’s absolutely fine. Add SD memory if you need more, it’s cheaper.

This computer is fast and as light as a feather the screen is amazing as well. It starts up in seconds. It’s the perfect computer for content consumption and productivity

I'm use this strictly for school: surfing the web and typing using processor. It gets the job done and I don't get frustrated in the process, and since I'm impatient that must means it has decent speed. I imagine it wouldn't be great for much more than that though.

Bought this for the upcoming school year and likely remote learning. The price and specs on this laptop are excellent. I especially liked the slim size and light weight of this as well. Easily and freely upgraded to Windows 10. Bought another one for my other kid and I’m tempted to buy one for myself as well.

I love this little laptop. I did install 8GB Memory into the 2nd empty slot. I kept the existing 4GB memory stick in, so I am working with 12GB memory. I use this laptop for streaming videos and researching, as well as word processing. No gaming. Of course the laptop is practically brand-new (purchased 4 months ago), but it's fast. During the how-to video that I watched, I learned that opening up the laptop voids the standard warranty. I probably still would have done it because 4 GB is not enough, however, the laptop was very cheap, even including the additional memory that I purchased. 128 GB is more than enough for a hard drive. The letters and symbols on the keys are large and very easy to see, even in lower light situations. The keys are responsive and can be tapped lightly. As someone who types by touch, I am very happy with this keyboard, including layout and dimensions and proportions. I have always had good luck with HP laptops, so i am sure this one will serve me well for the next 5 years.

Needed a dependable laptop for my son. At 239.00, for the size, quality, windows 10, and free anti-virus product just for purchasing.. I'm really happy with my purchase. I had a really horrible experience with a refurbished computer, and learned the hard way that electronics is an investment. thanks best buy!

I got this laptop to use to play a games and I’m very happy with it. I even bought another RAM of 8GB to put it together with the 4GB that it comes with and it’s working perfectly. Now I have 12GB RAM which is perfect for me. I even installed a program to edit photos and this laptop is doing it’s job.

The laptop is lightweight and the picture quality is great. I love how it remembers where you left off after you've shut the computer down. It's easy to find programs you're looking for. I recommend this device for both beginners and experienced users.

I purchased this laptop for my 10 year old daughter this is her first one. It seems to be holding it's own very nicely. I have to give it to HP they are the best company i have ever dealt with. overall I would buy again exspecially at this great price.

Got this computer almost a week ago, was a bit skeptical because it only had one review but i went ahead and got it and good thing i did too because it works smoothly! no trouble with it. battery lasts a good while!

I needed a laptop with more memory than my last one but didn’t want to spend a fortune. It meets my needs for basic every day needs (paying bills, Microsoft office, email) and has enough speed for the few online games I enjoy. Great and affordable.
