Great inexpensive laptop, even though 3 techs tried to upsale us. Very disappointing employees are told to upscale the buying public.

It’s as advertised. It works for exactly what I needed it for, being able to work from home due to snow or other issues. It’s nothing fancy but it allows me to get my work done and that’s all I was looking for.

Exactly what I needed. A couple years ago I had purchased this same but older model laptop, of which recently I had fumbled with a cup of coffee and dropped coming from the car to indoors. So, I was jazzed to see basically the same system was available and bonus, on sale. It's a highly dependable little laptop. Nice processor, size, and I like I don't need to cloud if I choose not to. I mainly use it for writing and basic web stuff so, yeah it's perfect for my needs.

I recently purchased the HP 14" Laptop with Intel Celeron, 4GB Memory, and 64GB eMMC storage in the stylish Indigo Blue color, and I couldn't be more pleased with my decision. This laptop offers a perfect blend of affordability and functionality. Firstly, the design of the laptop is eye-catching. The Indigo Blue color is not only aesthetically pleasing but also adds a touch of sophistication. The 14" display provides a great balance between portability and a comfortable viewing experience. Whether I'm working on documents, watching videos, or browsing the web, the screen quality is crisp and clear. The Intel Celeron processor, coupled with 4GB of memory, ensures smooth multitasking and efficient performance. I've been able to seamlessly run multiple applications simultaneously without experiencing any lag or slowdown. For everyday tasks like web browsing, document editing, and streaming, this laptop handles everything effortlessly. The 64GB eMMC storage may seem modest, but it's surprisingly fast and responsive. I appreciate the quick boot-up times and the ability to access my files without any delay. Plus, the lightweight nature of eMMC contributes to the overall speed of the laptop. One aspect that pleasantly surprised me is the battery life. The laptop's energy efficiency allows me to work for extended periods without constantly worrying about finding an outlet. It's a great companion for both work and leisure, especially when I'm on the go. The HP 14" Laptop with Intel Celeron, 4GB Memory, and 64GB eMMC storage in Indigo Blue has exceeded my expectations. It's a reliable, stylish, and budget-friendly option for anyone in need of a versatile laptop. I highly recommend it to those looking for a reliable device without breaking the bank.

Unusable laptop I can't return - Very disappointed

This is a horribly slow laptop. It was meant to be donated to my Church, but they would only have been frustrated waiting for the browser to load. I'm not talking about the webpage loading, I'm saying the browser takes about 15 seconds to open. Once I decided to return this to the BestBuy store, I needed to reset the operating system so that no personal data would be retrievable. This failed again and again, only stating that "Something went wrong". For over a week I continued trying until it finally worked and my data was safely removed. I then tried to return it to BestBuy, but was told because it was over the two week period from purchase, they could not take it back, even for store credit. This is the opposite of Customer Service. I have bought two laptops from BestBuy in the past 6 months. I have bought at least 10 in the past several years. I was returning this with everything intact, including the black insert to protect the screen and all of the packaging. I have been an IT professional for 30 years. I manage IT Technicians across the US and Canada for a global client. I can't tell you how very disappointed I am in BestBuy for not extending any options at all for a very disappointing purchase. This laptop will sit unused, and I've lost the purchase price because I was trying to be responsible and clear the data while preserving the original OS.

I got this as a Christmas gift for a person who has even less computer skills than me which I didn't think was possible but it's easy to set up does everything that we need it's still working today and I would recommend it first anybody that just needs it to look things up order stuff online to pay your bills that's what I use it for I imagine it's capable of doing many other things but at my age and my computer skills I'm happy I can turn the thing on but as far as I'm concerned it's a it's a really nice computer laptop

I really like this computer for lightweight work. I bought it mostly to take with me to restaurants or libraries etc. because it's cheap enough I'm not worried about spilling drinks on it, or someone swiping it. I didn't even bother trying Windows on it because Windows is not my favorite. I however did put Linux Mint 20.3 on it (non-Edge version), with encrypted LUKS storage. All the hardware is recognized out of the box, including the WiFi and Bluetooth. I reduced the amount of swappiness and switched the /tmp and /var/tmp filesystems to use the "tmpfs" to reduce the amount of churn on the eMMC storage. There are only a few oddities so far: the keyboard occasionally will rapid-fire when you type a key. Sometimes have to restart the Bluetooth service. Also the trackpad sometimes just fails to respond. These are most likely Linux driver/firmware issues with this particular hardware most likely because it's cheap bottom feeder stuff. Sometimes "dmesg" shows some weird errors for ACPI and other subsystems. Sometimes it gets stuck in the LUKS unlock boot-up, requiring a Ctrl-Alt-Delete. But I can work with these quirks. The battery life is PHENOMENAL, which it should be with a 6 watt CPU. The screen is actually really good, too. And the speakers are rather good for this price-point.
