Returned laptop due to misleading specs. Supposed to have 8gb of ram and when i checked the specs on the settings of the pc it said only 6gb.

I purchased this laptop as a gift in December, however she started using it in January. She's been using it for less than 4 months, it's already having issues. It completely locks up, then powers down to blue screen. I contacted BestBuy but they say I have to contact HP directly... really BestBuy? Just past 90 days and it's no longer their problem. Thanks BestBuy, I'll keep that in mind the next time we buy any electronics.

Not a bad laptop for the money. Gaming performance is acceptable with lower settings.

Overall this is a great device. Just didn't have the I/o I needed. Plus, the ryzen 5 just wasnt powerful enoughb to what I wanted

I have owned and operated computers since 1980. This is particular notebook is the worst performer adjusted for technology and price that I have ever owned. HP ought to be ashamed to put their name to this pitifully slow laptop. I do not know if it is slow because of the AMD chip set, the NVIDIA graphics, memory, or what, but after several rebuilds, memory replacements, and the like it still has the slowest restartss, scree refreshes, and file loading that I have seen in decades, The HP Pavilion Gaming laptop is the poorest example of a computer that I own. I will be hesitant to give HP another chance after this dog.

Its an ok laptop. Son has issues with it getting hot while gaming so he runs an external fan on it.

I recieved this laptop on April 29, 2020. As of June 4th, 2020, It began to have many issues, just after the return date. My HDMI Port randomly died, the computer forgot how to log in to my microsoft account and wiped all of my files completley, ,losing all of my stuff. I would love to return this product, if only the problems didnt start AFTER my return date. Im VERY ANGRY.

My son chose this laptop for an early Christmas gift because he wanted to play Fortnite and Roblox on it. This computer can not handle running either of these games without shutting down because of overheating. I purchased a base with cooling fans to help keep the temperature down but it still shuts down after 10-15 minutes.

It is fast enough, however, the screen resolution and brightness did not work for me. I gave it away

Not sufficient to run certain games... we ended up exchanging... otherwise computer was fine, just not for gamers

This laptop has what I need to do schoolwork. It has gaming capabilities, and is good for beginners like me.

I purchased this laptop as a gift for my son and was excited about the specifications, as I have my own gaming laptop made by HP. Unfortunately, this proved to be one of the worst computers I've ever purchased. The laptop was amazing at first, but then started to lag during games (even with all bloatware removed and an up-to-date Antivirus) and close programs randomly. The laptop would also freeze during simple Zoom and Microsoft Teams meetings. Finally, the lid was lowered without shutting down the computer one evening, and we awoke the next morning to loud fans and the dreaded 5.3 blink... BIOS error. The system had overheated. Geek Squad and HP would not honor the one-year manufacturer warranty because "it does not cover accidents" due to a small scratch on one hinge. My mistake, although I don't see how a scratched hinge and a sudden BIOS error are related. I will never purchase another HP laptop again. I had expected more from a laptop that I had only purchased 280 days prior, that never left the dining room table.

Purchased one, after a few days of use, turned it on and ALL my files had disappeared. Chatted with Geek Squad and told me might be a faulty SSD, told me to exchange it. Did the exchange, from the beginning had WiFi issue, ran a diagnostic, issue with the WiFi adapter, have to keep resetting it. Now get blue screens. Returning this one too, trying a different brand.

This is a decent laptop for the price - My two complaints are: 1) Dull screen 2) Touchpad is hard

It looked very nice and was easy to setup and use, but a few days after we purchased it the system locked up and we had to return it to the store. Geek squad looked at it and said they couldn't explain why it froze up and quit working. We got in store credit and bought my son a new TV instead of another gaming pc.

Was made to sound alot faster than it was couldnt even handle most steam games

Laptop is good. Could use a larger memory but overall a good product

I have been a long time customer of HP and used to only buy HP products. However, this laptop was total garbage. It repeatedly would lock up and crash giving me a Windows error screen. I had HP send me recovery software, which I had to pay for even though it was still within warranty. It worked for a while, but sure enough as spon as the warranty expired it went back to constantly crashing. The thing has always been brutally slow, so I cannot imagine anyone using it for gaming without tossing it across the room. Last month the fan went out so I decided to just get a different one. Even for the lower price I paid l, I wouldn't buy this again.

Wish it had more ram. This was the only laptop available when I bought this one.

Idk how this is a gaming laptop can't even edit simple photos on Lightroom.
