I needed a laptop for work so I can work from home. This laptop meets my expectations and I bought it at a great price. It works wonderfully when I am working from home. I am glad I purchased this.

I own a desktop, but since I've purchased this I haven't used it much. I can no do homework on the go as well as check my emails and surf the web. I have not had any issues, as the processing is fast and it takes no time to browse, download, stream, or open up applications. I would definitely buy again if asked!

    great laptop

CONS: screen does not get too bright, and not crisp. bulky: meaning not ideal for a student since you will be carrying it around all day. besides for that i had no issues. originally had 4gb ram, i upgraded to 8gb. has 2 ram slots (ddr3l). i do not play heavy games, yet the laptop handled everything i wanted it to do without lag or compromise. it did handle running multiple virtualboxes without lagging the main computer. i no longer have this laptop since after 2 months it developed a stuck/dead pixel. i returned this unit for a higher end model.

Excellent Laptop For An Excellent Price

I purchased this Windows 10 laptop to replace my Windows Vista Basic laptop with maxed out hard drive. My old computer was getting harder and harder everyday to use for anything. My new computer works perfectly and I am so glad that I got it on sale for $199.

Had for a month now for small business and home use. I didn't want to spring for a faster computer, this fit the bill. It is slow at times, but not too bad. Only issue is the USB slot on one side is a little loose or big and when connecting a printer, I have to hold it down for the printer to register. I would just exchange it, but I find it a minor issue considering all apps are already downloaded. I would buy another in a heartbeat, does exactly what I need for my small business.

When I ordered, Graphics Card showed AMD Radeon R4. But my machine has AMD Radeon R3. I am very upset. They said I can receive free Webroot security software. But I don't why the canceled it.

I got this during a great sale for under $230. I needed a dedicated laptop for book keeping and this thing flies! Several excel windows open at once are no problem. Very stylish looking as well!

    Good Laptop

I bought this on sale for $200, couldn't beat the price. I didn't need anything fancy, just a laptop with the latest Internet Explorer (or Edge, now) for some work things that would only work on Explorer. The first laptop I received had keyboard and trackpad issues, after a call to Best Buy it was replaced immediately and have no problems with it.

    so slow

This laptop is so slow it won't run basic web pages. It takes it 30 seconds or more to load a basic web page. around 3 minutes to boot up. opening a program is a minute or two. Best buy won't help with it. store manager at edwardsville, IL said none of their entry level computers are capable of basic internet use. He said I shouldn't have bought it but its out of his hands. He told me to throw it away and come by another one. Why do they cary it then. extremely mad! its only three months old and won't even open word processing without a 3 minute wait

A decent laptop for its price range. Easy to set up and easy to get used to. A good choice if you are looking for a reliable day to day laptop that you can use on the go. My only complaint is that it runs on the slow side. So I wouldn't suggest it if you plan on doing a lot of photo or video editing or other tasks that require a lot of memory

    Cheap laptop, Cheap performance

    Posted .

I bought this laptop to replace a cheaper notebook I carry around for work and reading, nothing too intense. The price looked right and the reviews looked good so I bought it. This laptop lags on every function it performs, even with bloatware removed it just doesn't have the guts to browse the internet and open control panel without having a heart attack. I was met with lengthy load times even to just open firefox or IE. CPU is not under a load and the memory at 30%, so what we're seeing here is just slow hardware and architecture. The harddrive is loud as well and may play a role in its poor performance. However, I suspect its the cheap amd cpu. I've used cheaper notebooks running windows with an Intel atom that are pretty dang speedy. This pc is pathetic. You will have trouble studying and streaming music while browsing and doing normal tasks a student might use. My session on this pc consisted of having Excel open while writing an email and browsing part numbers online. It was just way to much for this sorry excuse for a laptop. The reason I chose to give this one star is because this machine is too expensive for a netflix brick and cant compete with the performance of other laptops in its price range. This pc will not meet your needs, you'll just end up returning it like I did.

    Great Entry Labtop

I gave it a 5 after fixing. Let me explain. I made a mistake and logged in without an account for Microsoft. At first hated it cause of errors and problems with WIFI. I had to Reset PC and Log in with Microsoft Account and all problems are fixed. Smooth as silk. Removed McAfee and used different virus protection.

    Only significant problem is keyboard

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

A good PC that performs well for most non-demanding apps. My biggest problem (other than Windows 10!) is that the keyboard has a 10-key numeric pad, which I don't use for document editing, as a result of which the editing keys are hidden and squeezed into the available space. A much worse design for text editing than my previous laptop. And the keys are not very good for touch typing. But it's still good value for the price. It's a shame they didn't do a better job of matching the keyboard layout to the target customer base.

I have been a long time HP user and always have been impressed by their products from being user friendly, easy to upgrade to durability. This laptop is no different.... pure HP quality at a very good price. The only negative would be battery life is poor= a search for a longer lasting battery is in the near future. Very happy with this computer.

Got this computer a day ago - "Open Box, Geek Squad Certified". It's very nice, but you need to be aware that there IS a number pad thing, which means that you need to move the unit a bit to the left if you want to type...I have hit the wrong keys many times in the past 18 hrs (well, not really 18, cos I WAS asleep overnight!). It seems to be a very good computer...not fancy...but works fairly fast. It works a lot faster than my 9 yr old MacBook Pro, anyway. Well worth the money spent, but it's only been one day. If you are going to buy this, be aware that Best Buy is not very good at updating information on your Order page. I ordered this on Monday...the order page remained on "In Progress" for the next two days...I got a text from Best Buy yesterday (Wednesday) at 5:29 pm, telling me that the computer would be here today as it said on the page when I ordered it...BUT....the computer actually arrived YESTERDAY at 3:30 pm...two hours before they said it was shipped! So....if you want a nice, pretty basic, computer, get this one. There's no 'bells and whistles', but since I only need it for work (Word documents, mainly), and occasional web browsing (Yay for Facebook!), it's well worth it. Not sure how it would be for gaming. Enjoy!
