About this a couple months ago to help me run my business, with the intent to use it as my travel computer with light duty. Instead I have already ended up using it much more than I thought I would. It's fast and capable of a lot. I would recommend this product to anyone who doesn't want to break the bank but still wants a very capable computer.

I bought this to replace my three year old Gateway laptop. This laptop is way better, IMO. I love the graphics and the keyboard! I still use an "old school" mouse and DSL connection through a modem, so this was perfect!

- The build quality is bad. The keypad buttons make VERY loud, clanky sounds when clicked, and the right and left are majorly different than one another. It also changes depending on where you click the button.... seriously HP? The screen/top part of the laptop feels like it's going to break off every time I open it up, and it does not close/open smoothly at all. - The touch-pad doesn't work well, has a bad feel, and is short. - Laptop is heavy, and slippery - There is no lights for the keyboard. Using this in bed or in the dark is horrible. - Battery life is not good - The highest setting for screen brightness is not good In terms of what a laptop should be - portable and durable - I do not see myself sustaining this junk, and it will be returned. I would also advise anyone who is looking to use this in public to not do so, as the clanky buttons are an extreme nuisance. Stay away.

The AMD processor does a nice job. We were able to play Sims 4 on it no problem. The problem with this machine was the CPU cooling fan. It was loud even when the computer was idle. The fan sound was audible from about 6 feet away. If you can handle the fan noise, this is a very nice machine for the money.

It is good deal. To my kids, it is a great one, to me, it is dirt cheap.

I got this computer for my mom and she loves it. It has everything she needs to check emails and do random surfing. It was on sale for 199 when I purchased, and was well worth the price

I was looking for a replacement for a several-years-old HP laptop, and this was the right price and right features. Side numeric keypad, Windows 10, and a webcam are all I really need for light websurfing and bill paying. Plus it was great to still find a laptop with a CD drive!

Bought this when it was on sale for $200. Comes preinstalled with Windows 10 and excellent laptop to surf the web and check email.

I wanted an inexpensive computer to use as an alternative to my iPad. I have purchased many HP products and been very happy with them-until now. This laptop is so incredibly slow that it is not worth using. It fires up quickly, but that's about the extent of it's speed. At times, it takes 4 minutes (or more...if at all) to get to a web page. The same is true for accessing programs through desktop icons. At this writing, I am trying to access my outlook email account and cannot-still spinning after 5 minutes. This is true whether I am at home using wireless, at the office using wireless, or even directly connecting to internet through the use of a USB cable. I'm disgusted, and am trying to find a single reason why I shouldn't throw this laptop in the trash and start over.

Oh my word, it's slow. Painfully slow. Shows hand oils and looks disgusting after 5 days. Have had to open task manager twice to kill a service due to not responding. Worst computer I've ever purchased; I'll be returning and spending more to get something of decent quality. Yikes.

This is a great laptop for the price. Comes with windows 10 and a dvd/cd burner. I bought this on sale for $270 at BestBuy. Pretty fast and it also has a full keyboard which I like. I got Trend internet protection for 6 months free as well. A low end HP but for the price this cant be beat. Even has more than 1 USB port. Very nice.

I was not very happy with this laptop considering it had mostly good reviews. I found this one to be very slow. The screen quality was lacking some depth, etc. It was overall quite annoying to use. And the outside was not fingerprint proof. Just sayin. Knowing that it was a lower priced model; my expectations were not high, but for me they weren't low enough. Plus was the optical drive and one of my reasons for buying this. But honestly everything is made now without a need for such a feature. Minus was the windows 10 operating system. My older laptop cost 3 times more and there's a big difference. But it does what it says so it's good for the price. Not by any means is it a steal.

This laptop was a great deal for a basic laptop. The processing speed is a little slow and can create lag, but overall, it has all the main functions for browsing the internet, business, etc.
