I wasn't planning to run a fortune 500 company on this. But for my specific needs of wanting a good laptop for my nieces to stream movies, surf the internet, and a music storage its perfect!!;

seems to run slow; can't figure out how to keep the screen from zooming in and out and up and down while I'm typing. Very frustrating!!

My daughter loves this product. We share it and I have to buy my own because she tries to hide it!!

Quad core, nice and fast processor, and great ram.

I've used a multitude of laptops from Dell and HP. This one has reasonable performance for the price. The monitor is clear and overall the feel is good. I can't quite put my finger on it, but the touchpad seems slightly "off". I'm not sure if it's positioned slightly different from my previous laptops, of if it's the feel of the buttons. Not bad, just different. About the only annoyance I have is if my hand is over the touchpad just right (or wrong as the case may be) the browser will zoom in without my intending it. I've recently upgraded to Windows 10, but it did it under Windows 8 as well. Again, perhaps the pad is positioned slightly differently. It's certainly not a high performance PC, but for its specs it does well. I only wanted it for convenient web browsing in the family room, and using in my car with some diagnostic software and a connection cable. I have desktops for my high power work.

This is a solid budget laptop, if you understand what you are buying. I had to upgrade my purchase to Windows 10 unfortunately, but the most recent models probably come with it installed. Performance is reasonable for internet and basic office tasks. There is no SSD, but there is an optical drive. That adds weight, but can be useful if you still have software you need to install, DVDs you want to watch or CDs to play or rip.

For my needs I did not need the most expensive. With the upgrade tp windows 10 this laptop is as good if not better hen the laptops by HP at twice the cost or the Computers with names of Japan or Korean names. It is not the fastest but if one does not have the very fastests service at home , why pay for the most expencise. This is a great VALUE..

Never owned any Hp products before. But I desired to purchase a really good lab top the could be used for all my movies and music. So far so good. Moves fast. Light weight wise and I'm glad it didn't cost me an arm and a leg

I bought this computer for my mom because her desktop computer is at least 12 years out of date and she desperately needed an upgrade. She complains about it not being fast enough but if you add in the fact that she doesn't really know how to use a laptop yet and still figuring out how to use all of the functions, then yes it's not fast enough in her standards. In my opinion, the computer operates faster than my desktop computer which is 4 years old. Getting the computer setup for her was very easy and took no more than 30 minutes. If you're looking for a good computer for someone who doesn't know how to use a computer or only know the basics, this is the one you need. I would recommend getting a mouse because explaining how the touch-pad works was a challenge.

One of the problems with my old computer was that it would overheat while I spent time working on digital paintings, right from purchase I had this problem. Had to save frequently, and even with good ventilation it would shut down. This one doesn't even get warm if I'm on it for 5 hours painting (which I realize makes a laptop heat up a lot faster than many other things). Lots of space on the hard drive, but it didn't come with the typical programs my other two did. No Microsoft Works, no Windows Live Movie Maker, and only online games, so I had to download Movie Maker, and managed to get a copy of Word (not Works) through my university. Came with Windows 8.1. Learning Windows 8.1 was a little different, but I actually don't mind it despite the poor Win8.1 reviews online. All in all, I like the computer, but I wish I didn't have to download all the programs that came standard with my older laptops.

I bought it at a reasonable price. So far good speed and performance. Upgraded to Windows 10 right out of th box. Was originally told the memory was maxed out. Come to find out can add another 8 GB. BONUS. 4 stars for shorter battery life than I want.

My HP has the best features for the price, as compared to Toshiba, Acer, and Dell. I like that it is lite weight and the resolution is awesome. I am a new user to MS Windows 10 so it has been a little challenging. Overall money well spent!

I don't need much in the way of a computer and didn't have a lot of money to spend. This computer fit the bill! Easy to get set up. I didn't give it 5 stars because I'm not familiar with Windows 8.1 or 10 and it's hard to figure out.

We were surprised to find such a high spec laptop in this price range. The value has been good. Set up was easy. Update to windows 10 was easy. Overall a good purchase.

My wife needed a laptop for completing graduate school work. This laptop was very affordable and functions well. Only criticism is that the touchpad mouse is extremely sensitive, so we have to adjust those settings.

This is a great laptop for school. I bought it because it's a newer version of the one my sister has and so far it's worked out great. It's not terribly expensive which is a great plus.

The laptop is pretty good for its price, gets a little slow sometimes and it gets unresponsive but overall pretty good

This computer is alright. It serves it's purpose, and allows me to do most of what I want/need to do. I think it is a bit slow at times, for being a brand new computer, but overall it is ok. For the price paid for it, I would say it is fine. If you are looking for something that runs extremely fast, this may not be the computer for you. I use this for my home business files and connecting with clients via email etc., and it does that just fine.

YOU CAN'T BEAT THE PRICE IT PERFORMS AS MUCH AS I NEED IT TO. I AM VERY SATISFIED WITH THE PURCHASE.
