I first bought this laptop in August 2017 for work. I just graduated college and needed something lighter to carry around because I was going to teach abroad. My old laptop was pretty heavy. I initially bought this laptop because it was cheap, light-weight, and it seemed liked it could do the basics (documents, powerpoints, watching videos). I didn't have much expectations for it except that. I didn't actually use this laptop much within the first month of receiving it in the mail because I was traveling a lot. After my travels, I started work and within 2 weeks of using it daily, it started to randomly shut down and restart on me. The random restarts happened when I was in the middle of typing documents, showing presentations, or just watching Netflix on my own time. Every time I work on something, I'm always worried that this laptop will shutdown on it's own so I'm always saving my documents after every single word I type. Also, when it does restart, it's super slow! About 2 months of using this laptop, every time I started up the laptop, it took about 20-30 minutes to start up. The screen would pop up black and nothing would appear for half an hour. It was a huge waste of time. I had to avoid turning off my laptop. After a week or two, the start up went back to normal but it still takes a while to start up. Also, in general, it's just really slow. Sometimes I'll click on an app or even the WiFi button and nothing will happen or it'll take a minute or two for an app to open up. I don't know if I just received a defected laptop or what, but I do not recommend this laptop at all. It's slow and randomly shuts off.

It started reseting itself and overheating in less then 30 days, the hard drive started failing and I replaced the thermal paste with MX-4 and it still ran hot only running starcraft 2 on low. This laptop is complete garbage and has made my final decision that I probably will never buy an HP product again because I have owned many and none of them have worked. Save your money and buy something like ASUS or Lenovo there products actually work.

Very slow laptop full of bloatware bad HDD and Windows 10 runs on it terribly. I bought this laptop and had to take it back because I have way older laptops that run circles around this thing do not buy!
