Excellent computer..... I think
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I rated this 2 stars only because Microsoft Windows 8.1 is such a horrifically bad operating system, I can't tell for sure if this is a good machine or not. At the moment my 7 year old IBM Thinkpad with Ubuntu is running circles around the machine. I would probably recommend this machine to a friend as the price is right and the specs are very good. I would heavily caution against Microsoft Windows 8.1 however. It is a very poorly thought out interface and is very counter-intuitive and clunky.

Four Lemons

I talked to HP; it's a known issue that they offered to fix. I didn't have 3 weeks to wait, and this was the day after I bought it, so I exchanged it. Second one: fan is fine, but it has a dead pixel. Third one: bad fan again. So we opened a forth in the store: another bad fan. Best Buy was great through the process, got me something else. On top of everything, this PC feels flimsy & breakable. Do not buy.
