I've owned this laptop for over a year. At the time of purchase, I was well aware of others' complaints about the volume of the fan. When it arrived, I did experience the same issues with it, but I decided to give it a chance since I was in need of an upgrade. About a year later, the fan noise has almost gone away. It only cranks up when I use the computer while it's on the charger, but you really shouldn't be doing that anyway. The computer runs a whole lot faster than my old one, and has been able to handle everything I do on the daily with ease. I love the sleek design and how lightweight it is.

This laptop fits my needs perfectly. It's a very good mid range laptop for basic everyday needs. It's very lightweight and very fast compared to my previous 6year old laptop. Setup was a breeze.

Great product and easy/convenient to use. 5 key on keyboard allows easy data entry when using for work.

Ordered new HP laptop online: great specs, surprisingly excellent price and it arrived next day. Realized that the storage was solid state, called store and picked up a usb 3.0 external dvd read/write 45 minutes later. Had a problem restoring about 700GB from Carbonite and Geek squad phone rep pulled me through it and had the files retrieved.

This is a great laptop for light everyday use. Set up was easy. Lightweight. Clear display and easy connectivity to other devices. Sound is loud and clear. No issues with lagging in programs or games.

I bought this for my daughter. She likes it a lot. The key board is slick, it charges fast and it handles everything she throws at it. A good basic computer.

I bought the HP laptop at Best Buy online during Thanksgiving week because it's only $330 with upgrade potential for my parent to use as a primary laptop. It has pros and cons below. Pros: It has latest i3 core 11th gen dual core CPU but it can turbo boost from 3 Ghz to 4.1 Ghz max that's fast enough for web browser demand with over 10 tabs open at the same time. It has 8 GB DDR4 3200 Mhz RAM, but you can buy another compatible RAM for about $30 online easily to upgrade to total 16 GB RAM for best performance. The more RAMs you have, the less chance you will have lag when you open 10+ tabs at the same time. It's good for stock trading and price monitoring as an example. It only has 256 GB M2 or NVME SSD that's not easily upgradeable without replacement of the original one. The built-in speaker is loud and great that's better than some $500 laptops' speakers. It has a nice 1080p Full HD screen and easily useable keyboard that's not easily available in laptops under $400. Cons: Its warranty indicates start date as May 2021 that's probably when Best Buy bought all of these machines to prepare for holiday sales. You need to contact HP support via email and provide a PDF document of your Best Buy purchase receipt in order to change the warranty start date to the date you paid for the laptop. I just received a response from HP support that my warranty start date has been changed to late November after waiting for a week. It has a 2.5 inch hard drive bay to add additional SSD or HDD but there's no connection cable to the motherboard. You have to find a compatible cable on your own and put it inside, so the hassle is not worth the effort. It has fan noise when you open more than 5 internet tabs at the same time and at the initial set up. That's a typical weakness on most HP laptop models. However, the smart cache built in 11th gen i3 core CPU can put the laptop power saving mode to reduce fan noise significantly when you do not perform intensive tasks. The keyboard is not backlit, but this laptop is cheap so that's reasonable. After all, I will recommend this laptop to general businessmen, college students, and anyone who wants a home entertainment laptop.

For the price, you can't beat this laptop. It is true, it can be loud when the fan is running at 100%, and I agree with others, loudest fan I have ever heard on a laptop. However, it doesn't run at 100% all the time, and only kicks in when it starts up, installing updates or doing more intense activity. Laptop is mainly used for web browsing and it functions great. Came with Windows 10 S mode, easily switched it to the regular mode so I could install chrome and other normal programs / apps.

I have no complaints about the HP 15.6 laptop. We also got a new router and modem and combined with the new laptop it’s now lightning fast to boot up and operate. The laptop was also on sale so that was an added bonus.

A very competitive price vs others companies. I have many years buying your products and I don't have any complains.

This is a good deal for the Black Friday 2021 purchased. It won't get hot even you're watching a video on this unit. You can hear the fan but not annoying for me. Battery life is descent for this type of unit. Since, I got it during the early access online Black Friday Deal last Oct. 19, 2021, it guaranteed the Price Match. Talked to the Customer Service in regards of it and they help me to process the price difference between them (Best Buy) & Walmart. For the specs of 8 GB Ram and 256 GB SSD, it's worth the price.

This has been such a big help when I first started my semester in college . My first person laptop if my use and it had been helpful in every way possible which can stem from downloading files and uploading documents. I can’t wait to get more of this laptop and hopefully exchange for another Which is very easy to do . I love this laptop and I get to listen to my ASMR really loud and I have my own finger scanner and I feel like it’s my own Laptop which still feels surreal . Thank god for all my blessings

This device is perfect for my needs. It's fast, was easy to set-up, and has plenty of storage for my documents and photos.

Quality laptop with a great price. Quick start and easy installation of updates.

This was a great deal at $170 off (black Friday). The HP 15-DW3033DX is fast with the SSD storage and 8gb memory. The video is acceptable although I haven't used it for games. I like the larger keyboard. The keys can be difficult to see at some angles in dim light. HDMI, USB-C & USB 3.x (2) is sufficient for my needs. The overall design seems to be solid (hard plastic). Only complaint is battery which seems to drain quickly with continuous use (3-4 hours) even with battery saver options set.

I am using this from last two years. Laptop gives me great performance.

Very fast, very light with a very bright and crisp display. The Black Friday price attracted me to the machine and I decided to upgrade even though it wasn’t a necessity. The Machine boots up quickly and run apps and web browsing very fast due to the SSD and other hardware improvements. Quite a difference in speed and weight vs. my 6 year old HP i3 laptop (6gb RAM/750gb HD) this machine replaced. It was very easy to switch from Windows 10 S Mode over to Windows 10 Home. Th”After that, downloading and/ or installing the apps and utilities that I use regularly was very fast and easy. Also, there was a minimal amount of pre installed bloatware to remove. As others have said, the fan can get a bit noisy at times, but that doesn’t bother me. I don’t know about battery life yet in that I’ve only used it on battery once for a few hours. Also, I wasn’t aware that this machine has a fingerprint reader which is a nice feature, but somewhat unreliable. Overall , I’m quite pleased with the machine and would highly recommend it.
