My 3yr old Toshiba might be faster......................

Battery life goes pretty fast Screen resolution is poor but acceptable for what I purchased it for Speed is ok Next time I will definitely step up to better display and faster copy with better ram

I needed to replace my 6+ year old Toshiba, but not ready to get the powerhouse I will need for an upcoming project (1 or 2 years down the road). So I decided to go with a cheaper laptop to hopefully hold me over until I could learn more about the Windows 10 and figure out what I will have to have. It works ok, but the obvious corner that was cut is the lack of memory. Overall the computer is slower than the Toshiba, due I expect to all the Windows garbage hogging the 4gb. I'll probably add another 4 at some near point, but then it isn't quite the budget friendly unit anymore. Other than that, most complaints would be aimed at Microsoft, not HP. They haven't been concerned with customer wants and needs since XP.

I've been living with the old vista operating system. This has been super simple to use and love the speed.

This is great laptop and a great price! I use it to work from home and surf the web and no problems so far.

computer would just shut down and would not come back on. reture it got the same item and this one is shutting down on me but will restart and boot back up

I was a little disappointed that the keyboard isn't lit like my last HP Notebook. And, frustrated it did not come with Bluetooth. But, that's my fault. Otherwise, It does what I need it to do!

From the first time I booted up my new HP laptop, the CD-ROM door opens every time I start up. Doesn't matter if the computer is off or asleep, the door pops open every time. I called tech support and the guy didn't try to fix the problem. He told me it was a hardware problem and he could only resolve software issues. Also, when I got the computer it wouldn't play any video from YouTube or other sites. I found people online with the same problem and then changed some settings and resolved it myself. My last computer was also a HP Pavillion and it was so much better than this inferior product. I bought this one because my last HP was a gem.

I bought the laptop to use while I was waiting for Best Buy to repair my desktop. I am very happy to have it because the desktop Best Buy repaired still doesn't work. Best Buy will be my last resort for future purchases.

with a intel core 5, 1 terabite , windows 10, hdmi entrance, several usb ports, memory card reader, mediun size screen, lightweight, longlast battery and an optical drive to read cds, what else could you ask for, for the average student. I bought this for my daughter in highschool, and it's just great for surfing the internet, doing homework, listen to music, talk on skype or just watch netflix.

My father really loves this laptop. He says that it is easy to navigate.

Bought this computer for my daughter's birthday. Liked it so much, went back and bought another for myself. It's great for searching the web, checking email, Facebook, playing web games. etc.

only problem i have is that with Windows 10 HOME edition you can not do remote desktop access and i was never told that or i would have bought something else with windows 10 PRO

Love how easy it is to use but the 4gb of memory is not the greatest to run some of the games or live things that the computer may be used for. For basic things it's great.

I think this is a great computer and very easy to use

My big laptop went and I didn't need anything as big so this was a great fit; plus I have a small space. Serve my needs -e-mails, some on-line shopping, some research.

Tons of storage. Able to store a lot of home photos on the local hard drive without having to worry about external hard drives and different albums on different drives.
