I bought this computer last week as an upgrade for my 8 year old Sony Vaio still running with the Windows Vista operating system. My budget was less than $400 and honestly, at the time, it was not my first choice. After researching Best Buy laptops I narrowed it down to 3 choices: #1 Toshiba C55T-C5300 (with over 1000 reviews), #2 Dell 13558-9136 (same features as the Toshiba but only 8 reviews at the time), and #3 this HP 15-ac1151dx (60 reviews at the time - faster CPU but less RAM, no bluetooth, and no touchscreen). When I got to the store I was told the Toshiba was discontinued and no longer available so I spent a long time with a great sales rep discussing the features and benefits of the Dell vs. the HP. I was having a hard time making up my mind but as it turned out the only HP 15 in the store was the store demo and I was offered a really, really good open box, store demo, discontinued model deal. For the price I was given I decided 4 GB of RAM was enough (and could be upgraded to 8 if necessary), Intel i5 was preferable to i3, and I really didn't need a touch screen or bluetooth. I have been playing with it non stop since I purchased it: learning Windows 10, transferring files and programs from the old computer, syncing email accounts, connecting my printer, and generally enjoying the heck out of it. Maybe it's the computer; maybe it's Windows 10 but I really like this machine. It's fast, easy to use, the keyboard suits me, and it feels like it runs at least 100 degrees cooler than my old computer. For the price I paid I am extremely happy with this purchase. The only question is whether I will need to add another 4 GB of RAM at some point but since I don't stream videos or play games I don't think it's going to be an issue. When all is said and done, if I had it to do over again I would still buy this machine even without the great discount.

It's slow, it freezes up, it keeps getting pop ups and the sound isn't great, oh and the battery doesn't last long either. Live and learn. :-(

I bought laptop at a great price. Upgraded the memory to 16gb. Running like a champ. Even plays battlefield 4 at a descent settings.
