Battery life is low but overall a good laptop to work with

Bought this Laptop May 23rd and June 9th it died. Didn't even get 2 full weeks of work use out of it. CMOS 502 Error and Black Screen of Death. HP Tech support was garbage and one of the worse processes I have gone through. They spent half the time telling me to boot the computer after I continued to tell them it wouldn't boot. I would not recommend this laptop from my experience.

Bought this during lockdown. It was the only laptop they had in stock and I stupidly asked the Best Buy associate if this was any good as it was less than I expected to pay. He assured me it was. Long story short, I had to send it back to HP for repairs because it crashed repeatedly and Best Buy refused to look at it because I was past the return period. I had expedited HP service-paid extra for that-but they don’t have the parts! I have had it for 4 weeks now and it worked for 4 days. I have some additional tech purchases to make but they won’t be at Best Buy because I no longer trust them. I still am waiting for HP to show me they can do something. Latest is that it will be another three weeks before I end up with a working machine.

Fast booting up but the display is a bit washed out.

Hard to use. Can't install antivirus software. Weak.

This is okay for elementary students but not teens

Got it for my kids distance learning during this pandemic. We currently use my wifes 2 year old laptop with no problem, but this computer would freeze and had issues using the touch screen. This is on the first day of downloading the weebly app for my kids homework. Useless.. returned immediately.

I’ve only had this for about 2 years and I’ve decided to get a Mac. To many issues with Windows getting blue screens. I'm tired of getting repairs. It's not worth it. Bye

With every Windows upgrade or Bios update you will get locked out of all of your non-S Mode program. Customer support is a joke! $99 bucks to upgrade to S Mode Pro to unlock your data or buy for Greek Squad support. I would buy another brand!

When I'm typing, often the curser will skip about and cause part of a word to insert in another line. Slows me down because I have to constantly stop and check for errors I didn't make. Wondering if I should return it before the warranty ends.

This computer will not let me remove the S mode and that limits you you use Microsoft apps . Not ideal for my job. I took it off and they put it back on and now won’t let me take it off

Had the computer for 3 months and now it doesn’t turn on. Having to replace either the mother board or the battery pack. Either way after 3 months I shouldn’t have to replace anything.

Very hard to get used to. And with the pandemic makes it hard to connect with someone like e to ask questions. Thought I was able to transfer all data from old comp, turns out I didnt or else i dont know how to find it. So i gave up.

I returned this because the quality of the picture was very blurred and washed out. It's sad that with all the power this laptop has that they could be so wrong with that. Price doesn't warrant that kind of picture.

Lasted 1 year and 2 months and the screen is burning out. Customer service told me it would cost between $300-$800 to fix a $600 laptop. This will be the last HP product I ever buy

Kept shutting down randomly, saying it was over heated. Even though it wasn't hot, and I have a laptop cooling fan

after I set up, no problem. A few days later Windows S mode started to bock my chrome browser. I tried several times, but I Cannot switch out of it. I keeps telling me "a problem happens on our side..."

Appears to be a loose or blown speaker. In the very first few steps cortana starts to talk with a ton of static. Just playing with the volume slider to get the “chime” produces static. Not worth completing setup. Returning. Oddly the laptop I am replacing was an HP that was fairly decent but speakers failed a while back. Think it is time to look for other manufactures.

I bought these items during the covid when the store wasn't open and had to buy them sight-unseen. I would NEVER have bought this laptop had I seen the keyboard. You can't see the letters/numbers on the keys as they are not a contrasting color. My husband uses this more than me and he doesn't know how to type, so this is a real problem. I'm going to have to paint the info in black manually on all the keys. I'm not sure this has been updated with the Microsoft 365 I purchased nor antivirus software due to issues with Geek Squad help.

Bought 3 year Geek Squad help. Couldn't get an appointment to help me. Had to go to private Tech & pay $75 to get programs installed & problems solved. Needed to switch "S" program off.
