I don't think the USB-C is a real USB-C...while it may physically accept certain pieces of tech, it won't recognize them (external monitors, cell phone, etc.). Screen is pretty low res, but hey, I am reading word docs, excel spreadsheets, and powerpoints...ClipArt is still chief in academia. Is not compatible with Bamboo Ink. Still don't regret the cheap purchase on a President's day sale when my previous laptop may or may not have drowned. Does the job for a pretty good price. Only complaint is that Best Buy bundles this with a bunch of junk subscriptions. Buying it was a major hassle because I had to set up accounts for everything before they would take my money. So, not a beef on the laptop, just on Best Buy gimmicks.

It is small enough for him to carry in his backpack and It is fast enough for him to do his research for school work.

It will be a backup to my old computer which I did buy from Best Buy in 2014. I feel it will be a good computer for someone need a new computer.

Good Computer, Good Buy...doesn't come Office

I was hesitant to buy an HP again because they seem to only work efficiently for about two years. I had previously owned a Toshiba laptop which I used for several years and it never had problems (the same opinion is shared by someone else I know that still has their toshiba Laptop, mine got lost in a move. I do think this is a good computer for the price, but it's also a little frustrating at first because Microsoft makes it pretty difficult for you to use other programs that aren't owned by them...but that's not just an HP problem. I would buy it again....probably in another two years, unless I see a Toshiba for sale.

University Laptop
