Might just be a great computer but I don't know. Purchased as an open box item. Told everything was included. Went to set it up only to realize there was no Windows activation key. Now I have to try and return it.

I have returned this product to Best Buy 5 or more times since I bought it in December for my daughter. They have replaced the hard drive 5 times for failure and I will never buy another HP laptop again.

Terrible quality. Failed a little over a year after purchase. Windows will not start up. Unfortunately, it’s no longer under warranty and will have to spend extra to get it fixed.

With two kids about the same age (7 and almost 9) and with tons of practice reading and math homework we came to the conclusion that one family computer wasn’t going to work for our needs and that both boys needed their own computer. It is easy to operate and 1 TB is enough for schoolwork. They can easily navigated through websites like myon, mathletics and achieve2000. They can play games and watch DVD but we only allow this for the weekends. As they said best early Christmas present ever. The touch screen has been a plus for them it is like using the iPad without having issues with the websites.

This product was terrible I had it for a few hours and it stopped working luckily Best Buy was nice enough to let me get a way better computer at a discounted price

Did not work out of the box. To make matters worse, BB dinged us because we returned the product. Won't be shopping at BB again or buying any more HP products.

I should have known better than to purchase an HP. The computer is very slow, and basically sucks. Never again . . .

I guess you get what you pay for is true. This thing is slow, crashes and takes forever to boot up after 1 month or so. Should've bought a Mac.

freezes up all the time super frustrating. bought an acer so we didnt have to fight the computer everyday. this thing is pure trash

Computer worked one day then wouldn't work at all. I was on phone with hp support for hours then finally gave up and returned it

I bought it and then I had to download windows 10 and it it took a dive on there so I returned it at night and bought a Mac

This laptop was very disappointing. I ended up buy and installing a SSD drive and that helped somewhat. Still very slow

Not a reliable laptop. It will definitely give you hard time while working on simple tasks because it is slow.

right out the box , doesn't load. when it does load it super slow. haven't had the chance to take it back.

I had to return this item within the first week I purchased it. The hard went bad after only a week.

The laptop had no audio out of the box. I had to pay $25.00 shipping to return it to HP for repairs.

Terrible. Crashes and locks up constantly. When it seldom does work, it is very slow. Don't buy!!!

This LAPTOP really surprised for the price($299.99) and the ram is expandable to 16gigs, I hooked up a bluray player and it played. Very easy to setup, and it streams great and touch screen also. What more can you ask for. THE PRICE IS RIGHT

I was looking for the best laptop that was less than $500...at least the best that BestBuy had to offer...and this does the job well, for the most part. I didn't want to pay for GeekSquad this time, didn't make sense to buy a 200$ "protection plan" for a 400$ laptop, so I picked this HP over a similar priced I5 8gb RAM Lenovo, due to this HP's popularity and reviews, I wanted something I could trust. Good, decent, Laptop for ts overall use...Great laptop to use as a backup, to give as a gift, for a kid, or someone just learning computers. Pros: Cheap Nice features for a cheap laptop: -CD/DVD drive that burns disks which is rare at any price really -Keyboard isn't backlit, but feels nice to me. It's not squishy. -6gb RAM, great value -I3 intel processor: fast enough for basic use, but can get sluggish if you try to push it. -Touchscreen is just icing on the cake Cons: -Screen Brightness isn't very good, doesn't get as bright as I would like but nothing too terrible.. -Speakers are above keyboard facing up, but are still pathetic, especially compared to another laptop I have with Harmon Kardon speakers... -Speed... I wouldn't expect to find a faster laptop at this price range, but its still noticeable to me how, at times, it can slow down. 95% of the time, you will be fine, but remember its a 350 dollar laptop, you won't be playing many high res games. -Graphics: graphics card is basic. Not an expert, but if you could replace this card(not sure if possible), this laptop should play games pretty well with 6gb ram and an I3..... will play simple games, but I tried to play NBA 2k14 on low and it was playable but just too sluggish for me. -Build Quality? Laptop looks pretty sweet with its all black finish, but If you push on the back of the lid with a little bit of force, it shows on the LCD screen. Get this laptop if you want great features with great value and don't need a speed demon for gaming or graphics.

I'm not happy at all with my new computer . I probably will like it more eventually .
