I purchased this 5 years ago and this is a solid laptop for just a light/regular user. My only complaint is that if the lid is closed or you restart the computer, it is extremely slow. But once it gets warmed up after ten minutes or so, its fine. If you need a laptop to browse the web, maybe do a word document from time to time, I would recommend this laptop.

Had some shipping issues but when it finally arrived I was overjoyed. Great laptop. Fast and the touch screen works great.

I'm just the average guy who was looking for an inexpensive, but great computer. At the time I was at my best friend's house for Thanksgiving and he said not to get a Dell so I went to the Best Buy website and came across this HP. I checked out the specs (the ones I could understand, anyway) and did the side by side comparison. This one just stood out from the others. The deciding factor for me was the DVD/CD capability that they're not putting in laptops these days. I ordered it the day before Thanksgiving and picked it up on Thanksgiving. When I got it back to his house and opened it up, it turns out it looks just like his. Then when I got it home and set it up, I was surprised at everything that came with it. I love Windows 10 and am still getting used to all of this laptop's features. As with all things it has its pros and cons, but for me the pros far outweigh the cons. It was well worth the $399 I paid for it, no regrets. I would definitely, and have, highly recommend this laptop.

I purchased this from the store to avoid having it shipped. Now I've had it 3 or so weeks and went to use the Bluetooth, I learn this doesn't have Bluetooth. I went back and double checked the features online, yes, there is bluetooth on the one online at the first store I saw. Even though both stores supply the same identical model numbers, this one does not have Bluetooth but the other one does. Had I known this one has less features for the same price, I'd of bought the other one. Same price, identical model #'s. I didn't know the features could run different if the model numbers are identical. I turned around and asked others I know, they didn't realize either. Learning lesson for us, but greatly disappointed. Other than that, it locks up online quite often which is annoying.

This laptop works just fine. No problems as of now. Can handle a slightly advanced high school student's work load and upload GoPro files at a reasonable speed.

Nice laptop, good features...works at a good speed...but touchpad needs some improvements

Very easy to use. Screen is a bit sensitive best to use pad. Purchased for a Christmas gift and was a great choice overall.

Good budget pc. No SSD but it has a big HDD. No Bluetooth but has infrared. Good starter laptop.

I am a person who has only used chromebooks and was skeptical about getting this one but the reviews were great when I got it, it was easy to use and helped majorly in school and work

This laptop meets my needs except the keyboard is not backlit. I would have given this notebook 5 stars had it not been for this omission. I didn't realize this feature wasn't included until after I had begun loading my information or I would have returned it. I did not see mention of this in the reviews so I am writing this review for others who might want a backlit keyboard.

loving the brand the look the style and the speed i owersome

I bought this HP in early February. Almost all functions are good but for the touchpad. It goes dead to the touch which requires hunting it's response area. I'm kind of surprised that engineering didn't catch this annoying little flaw in an otherwise good laptop.

I love this computer! the only downer is they don't have any hard shell cases to go on top of it. the black is not really my style, so I would like to have a case to cover it. Otherwise this is a great computer and I would recommend it to anyone.

good enough configuration for daily usage. the machine is a little heavy. wouldn't want to carry around every day!

Amazing laptop. Gave it to my parents and they have loved it so far

Overall performance of this laptop is good. But the touch feature start giving problem, in just 2 months screen started flickering in the corner (ghost touch). There is no fix for that as its a common in dell touch laptops. I use it currently with touch turned off.

Basic laptop but a bit slow to start and for me, and to transfer my old files over from my old laptop. Even when I reset it to basic factory settings it took several days. It felt like I was still using my 6+ year old laptop that I had been babying to make it through my final school semester with me.

I did a lot of research before purchasing this product and it's excellent!

This product arrived yesterday and it has given me trouble since the moment I turned it on. Nothing will install. Not Java, Adobe, Avast, or the updates. The touchscreen works perfectly but the keyboard, mouse, and wifi is basically completely useless. I would steer clear of it. Also, two days after purchasing this one, they'd taken $60 off??
